lol
and they need to stop shipping it with ETA PRIME'S favorite apps
Don't worry it's LCD 😉 no burn in
@@azemcity2199😂😂😂
😂 😂 😂 Thanks for the chuckle
Why you don't put some pc emulation from mobox or winlator, i really would love to see it specially for this android device's, i believe this emulator will be so necessary for arm devices when windows come in arm with Snapdragon X elite so this kind of machine's will benefit a lot from wine emulation 🎉
This thing looks absolutely gorgeous.
The performance level of Odin 2 is already more than enough to handle all available Android emulators.
Not to mention that its value is overwhelming in its range of activities.
The AYA Neo Procket S is more premium but costs a lot more, plus the battery is 25% smaller in comparison.
A 1440p screen for emulation only helps consume more battery and produce more heat and doesn't deliver much visual difference within 6 inches
alot more where my guy? the odin 2 pro "which most people are going for" costs 369 dollars.. the pocket s early bird is currently going for 400 dollars.. that's 8.5% more only.. now, if it's 8.5% more valuable is up for debate. i personally think it is for the quality, if it is as premium as it looks.
Yeah... but the Pocket S looks SOOO damn nice.
eh we dont care. We want the pocket s. I say this as someone who owns all of ayns devices
Ayn just doesnt provide the same premium feel that ayaneo does to their devices
@@Frshmachine that's the preorder price. The actual price is quite a bit higher.
You are goddam right.
£500 is this a joke!
😂
Better to get a ps5 or Xbox than this lol. Or pay slightly more and get a handheld pc.
Joke for the competition but find another snapdragon 8gen3 cheaper
Android with this garbage games is a joke. 😂😂😂😂😂
No It is Inflation! In Case you dident realise everything is getting more expensiv noweadays! But you are right £500 for an Android handhald is way to mutsh!
Isn't the 1440p model already sold out on IGG? $750 is hella expensive for android regardless of how powerful it is.
What? I didn't even get the bottom tier 1440p, I got somewhere in the middle and it was only 530. There are models with less ram, smaller screen for less.
750$ for an android device is expensive? Lmaoooo okay buddy. Tell that to my Z fold 5. Paid 2 grand for it.
@@const3llations_370
Because it's a fold and you are paying for that 'premium' feature.
This is a single panel and is thus competing with other single panel androids. The best price to performance android phone is the red magic 9 pro which is $650 for an 8 gen 3 (newer processor) and an extra $80 for the gamepad attachment. Meaning it's still cheaper than going this route and it offers more features than the Ayaneo device.
yeah even compared to the odin 2 its pretty similar performance which is already pretty much at the top of what android apps can do currently. I dont really see a point for this as its close to a $50 premium for the lowest end pocket s which has less storage and ram than the price comparable odin. All that this adds is more premium build quality and what looks like worse ergonomics.
@@const3llations_370 Yeah, its epxensive. You paying out the ass for bad tech is a choice. Some people pay extra to break down in a Ferrari.
There's a huge difference in the Benchmark Monitor section of Antutu between the 2 devices at 11:20 in regards to temperature and battery drain; and they appear to have been benchmarked using different versions of the v10 Beta (probably with the newer version changing how the benchmark stresses the device, I'd imagine).
For one thing, the Pocket S drained by 19% battery, and the Odin only drained by 3% during the benchmark.
Secondly, the temperature curve for the benchmark look *completely* different (with the Pocket S more closely resembling the rough shape of my Z Fold 2 running the same version).
Edit: fixed a typo
I might give this a try. Great review. I’ll definitely buy one in the next couple of weeks🔥🔥🔥
I always appreciate when you include Genshin game play even though you aren’t a Genshin player (love that 19 damage 😂). Being able to play Genshin/Honkai Star Rail is always a deciding factor for me.
Looks cool but I'll still stick with odin 2 mainly for repairability, battery, and ergonomics. All I need for odin 2 right now is an OLED borderless screen.
I love my Oden2🤍
me too
Feeling the ergonomics is a big deal here. Doesn't look comfy for extended sessions. Like my odin lite, love it, but hands star aching after not too long due to the slim design. Not to mention the switch in handheld mode!
@@valg.3152 You love it so much that you don't even know what it is called.
👏
Phew, I just bought the Odin 2 and luckily this wasn't a big enough difference to make me regret that purchase 😅
I would still take Odin 2 over this. Running at 1440p is unnecessary at this size, and will require extra power from the AyaNeo's smaller battery.
The only benefit that I see is if you want to connect this to a monitor or TV. (it has a really beautiful design though)
I'm still debating on Odin 2!
No reason to. Odin 2 will outperform it pretty much forever. The small bump in processing is massively offset by the glass and metal thin construction. She thermal throttles pretty bad. Still overpowered, but compared to other offerings it falls short.
Odin 2 seems like the better choice.
@@Healthy_Toki It is. Cheaper, bigger battery, newer hardware around the core, less fragile, and no thermal throttling created by dumbfuck glass and metal construction while trying to be extra thin in a gaming handheld. It's a great premium attempt, but it falls short.
Nah on that price i would rather buy a phone with same chipset or better and a controller/telescopic controller and still have the functionality of a regular phone with the same price.
Phones will cost $1000
@@CasepbX red magic 9 pro has a snapdragon gen 3 chip which cost around $700 but still less then any other flagship phones and it has a massive battery with fast charging
The auto generated captions did not hear "Pocket S" The first time 😂
looooool
Oh man this device is beautiful. I have a Steam Deck but really considering getting this device for pocketability and awesome performance. thanks for the review
Great review. Thank you.
Can't deny, it is flipping beautiful.
Design so cool❤
If this thing had the option to run windows 11 arm (or even Ubuntu) I'd get it today. It's beautiful hardware and the ability to actually play some PC games and such in such a sleek form factor is really appealing
Have never ran benchmarking on my Redmagic 9 Pro. Scored a 5186 on wildlife extreme. Pretty happy with that.
snapdragon gen 3 is a beast of a chip able to play pretty much every emulator without a sweat
Hope they start putting those in handhelds
Can you please show us a lengthy comparison of emulation performance differences between this and the Odin 2? I love my Odin 2 but the thinner form factor on the pocket s is so attractive
Cant wait to see some Windows 11 ARM tests
Is it possible to put Windows 11 ARM on these devices? is it useful?
@@arturoarturo2570 Somebody might make it happen unofficially sooner rather than later, but as far as it being useful, I doubt we'll see "good enough" performance on phones or handhelds like this one unless the ecosystem matures and native apps become widely available. Phone and handheld SoCs just aren't there yet, so Windows on ARM will probably stay on tablets and laptops for the foreseeable future.
@@arturoarturo2570 i saw videos of people installing it on the Odin 2 like 2 years ago. Apparently its had alot of polish since then. The snapdragon x releasing soon is supposed to be then next push and its giving solid overall performance and compatibility on x86 programs and titles.
Gorgeous industrial design
I really want an Android Device with that power /ergonomica and size BUT with 7" display.
Looks so cool , Thanks bro
How about the the thermals under load?
How warm does it feel compared to Odin 2 and win4?
So happy I managed to get a 1440p version
Looks ok, but would still go for the Odin 2
My bad I misheard it at first....."Pocket Ass" seems like a good device though
He clearly says 'pocket ass' lol
@@feriante777 🤣
He does it on purpose for jokes, I like how is says "viberation."
😂😂
Would have bought it if it was a OLED display...I'll just have to wait for the next one
Got the 1440 while they were still available, and can’t wait for mine to come in
Same. Can't wait
fool
I love the look of it. So thin and pocketable but I’m holding out for the new Rog Ally
Look at the new video about ASUS by Gamers Nexus. You may want to hold off on buying anything ASUS in the near future.
@@carlsberg-gs6rl thanks for the heads up, will definitely look into it
I'm willing to give up my samsung fold 5 if this had a sim card, this will be my main device for life
This
Great review ! What about switch emulation ?
With this channel everything that comes out is always the best looking, the best mini pc, the best everything xD smh
That is my perfect form factor . Once hardware like the generation of APU's 3 years from now or version 2/3 of the Snapdragon X elite release , then i will be happy if PC gaming can fit in cases this size . Then they can make extra money selling extension cases that make it the size of current ALLY and SteamDeck , like a case swap that increases size of screen and battery.
i see you have warzone mobile installed. Does it work out of the box? Any issues running that title? odin/retroid has had issues
AyaNeo did a good job with this handheld console. I hope more companies take a look and find a way to make other ones.
Man, that is one beautiful built device. Looks very premium, ah la, apple.
Hay long time viewer of ur channel me an my wife watch every video can u please please answer 1 question is the google play store verified so we are able to play warzone mobile genshin impact ect thank u so much keep up the good work 😊
Can you at least confirm if the issues with the switch games from before were fixed?
Only would consider this over my Odin 2 if it had an AMOLED
If this ends up with a nice rear grip case and a magnetic snap-on protector for the entire front of the device (protects buttons and sticks in your pocket or bag), then I might actually consider the price premium over the Odin 2 for the slightly better GPU and screen and "higher-end" Android games.
The indigogo has one but can only be bought with the device and its $30
I clicked to the final thoughts section and usually he gives a better idea if it's with the money. Is it a good value?
Can you do a full emulation test on this device, I’m in between the Odin 2 and this one.
It’s perfect
Oled option would’ve been nice
A+
Wow!
Hey ETA, how does it fare playing Warzone?
I hope you test displayout to monitor with yuzu emulator test naruto storm connection and jujutsu kaisen very cool
This would make a great phone, if only they'd add a sim card slot!
Could you try and play some games on winulator on this puppy, this new gpu has me excited
This is what i want to see on these handheld devices, ANDROID! It just makes much more sense than trying to put windows on it. Mobile games are getting really good. I love playing Warzone mobile, Diablo immortal, Fortnite etc., on the go without having to be tied to a charger after less than a hour of gaming. I own a steam deck and i only used it a few times before it went back in the box for good. The battery life was 1 hour or less and the experience just wasnt great. If they just focused on making devices that can run mobile games really good, i think it'll sell better than the windows devices.
Simply out of my price range for what it is, but i would still love to have one.
What about Winlator? Is it work on pocket s?
Yes you can buy a steamdeck for the same price, but is the steamdeck pocketable? The build quality of this looks better than the odin (doubt it feels as good) but the design / build quality matches the price point.
you should test warzone mobile as it is also a heavy title
Bet you love it
This but flipable form factor would make it very pocketable. Here the joysticks still stand out too much for this.
You'd think with almost $500,000 in startup funds they would have been able to produce a bit more than 800 units of the 1440p model
The fact this doesn't have a 120hz display is a deal breaker for me. For the price that they are asking, it should've been standard.
Give it phone capabilities like the Snail device to replace our phones.
Really want to see something like this with a lower end Intel/AMD chip like the N100 and SteamOS. Handhelds have been all about performance, and we're losing some of the ergonomics/portability that the Pocket S brings. Android just isn't enough for me.
does it have input lag when you using emulation?
I ordered a 16/512G 1080p one, but I am concerned about how would I open this up to clean the cooling fan and heat sink when it eventually gets clogged. From my experience, all cooling fans need to be cleaned periodically for optimal performance.
good lord just gets an Odin 2
you should try winlator since you like to test emulators
I saw warzone on your homescreen. Is this working? On my retroid pocket 4 pro I had to root the device… but ordered the ayaneo pocket S and hope it Will work!
$500? Oh my. I didn't expect that. Why wouldn't someone just get a Steam Deck OLED at that price?
can you please do a winlator performance test
I'll wait for the AyaNeo Pocket S, Super Edition, To come out about a month after this is Released
Why you don't try Grid Autosport and Warzone Mobile gameplay?
So is Switch emulation dead? I know emulators are being taken down left and right but I'm sure there's a few out there that have to work. I literally would probably only buy this to play GameCube and switch games.
I was really excited about this thing until they announced it was going to have IPS and then, that price… lmao. Now I’m gonna wait until this thing costs $200, or the next similar thing with AMOLED gets released at a reasonable price.
What about Star wars Rogue leader on dolphin, can it run at full speed with no dips whatsoever?
How is Switch and Saturn emulation performance?
4:55 console launcher may have a frontend on it but its not available on the google play store
Might try to grab one second hand, this is exactly the kind of android handheld I was looking for.
Whats the point of testing GeekBench within 2 different versions? 6.2.2 and 6.0.0?
Android really needs to get some ps3/xbox 360 emulators that can take advantage of these new powerful machines.
Man, I love the ascetics of this thing but i just can't justify the price.
Can’t wait to receive mine and plays GC, WII and PS2 yes 🖤
how comfortable is it vs odin 2? also, how do battery lifes compare?
Odin is more comfortable. This device is flat and slimmer. Aya Neo does offer a case for it with grips built in. Its an extra $35
I like that the Pocket S looks like a giant iPhone 5 with controls.
I have really been struggling with PS2 emulators on Android with my Red magic pro 9
12:00 OMG 80-85C. 100% CPU is cooled from the screen like in AYN odin 2. It can't be such temperature if the processor is connected to a heatsink.
would like to see some Nintendo switch emation, like yuzu and eggns emulator
He doesn't want to be exposed to Nintendo's lawyers.
With a slim flat body design, they should've put dpad at the top.
I don't know about you guys, but those temps on the cpu and gpu are quite worrying if you ask me. Watch the Genshin Impact temps for example..
announcement of a new portable machine next week called "ayaneo pocket micro"🙄😂
How hot does it get playing COD mobile. If you have had a chance to try it yet. If possible
😁😁😁👍👍👍...nice...
the problem with the steam deck is that lot of game don't run well under 1080p and aren't supported for that reason, especailly because of "small text". so it misses a little something for theses handhelp to run pc games properly, meanwhile this device is awesome to play retrogames
Why on earth are the joysticks staggered? That is a deal breaker for me. The button pad needs to be on the same horizontal plane as the D-pad, otherwise it's awkward.
I’ll save my money for the new ROG Ally X
Still waiting on an update on Winlator
Very nice looking device but I will stick with my Odin 2. The extra power means nothing when the emulation situation has max out currently at ps2, GC, Wii and mid size switch games for Android. Until till the software side of emulation moves forward, most new devices more powerful than snapdragon gen 2 will go un use powers wise and becomes pointless.
How is the battery life compared to Logitech G Cloud while streaming games?
I'm not (yet) that much into emulation, but I'm trying to justify Pocket S for myself :D
Stick to the G cloud - it's the most efficient device for streaming and the display is in the upper class.
$400 bucks…😮 to pricey
But i think its a good deal compare to other gaming phones
Steam deck is crying rn
Can you maybe try winlator on this and see how many games you can get running on it
Do we know the refresh rate on this screen? I want a machine for emulation but id like to run cod at 120..
