You can hear a pin drop out here. The weather is getting nice too. Nothing like sitting out on a rock overlooking the mountains, listening to the birds chirping with the warm sun on my back.
@@michaelkyne7880 Surprisingly, it does not freeze. It's a natural spring and I think because the constant flow and the natural temperature of the underground water. Around here it's 50-54 degrees of which is quite cold to the touch but warm enough and with the constant flow does not allow it to freeze even in the coldest temp. The tank at times of extreme cold will get icy but the water keeps coming no matter what. :)
@@michaelkyne7880 Yes! Mainly mule deer and cows. This area is a cattle free range area so ranchers have cows in the area and they come and go but I mainly see mule deer.
Yes, I do also have a well on the property but I still use the spring for drinking water and for water for showers at the cabin. I was just there getting water this past Saturday. The sling is one mile from my land.
Man, it's so pretty up there!

I bet that tastes great
Thanks for the comment. You are correct, it tastes absolutely amazing! :) I love it.
@@offgridco Thanks for the reply. I wanted to ask in winter is the fresh water still accessible? Does the tank not freeze

@@offgridco That's great thank you for sharing. Last question, given the remote location do you have wildlife coming to use the tank?

Is this still something you do today or have you started rain collection?
