The best way to do this is tell your husband at night that you're gonna be up in a bit and to go to bed early. Hide under the bed quickly and wait till he has turned off the light . Slowly scratch the side of the bed or thump . When or if he's alert and is coming down to investigate , grab his ankle with a screech . Tried this on my sister so 100% guarantee it will work

I'm only 36 but I have certain health issues which cause weakness in the muscles so if I get down on the floor (to hide under a bed for instance) it's difficult and often painful trying to get back up again.

When I was about 4 my sister got a book from the library called "the ankle grabber" it was about a monster that lived under the bed and grabbed peoples ankles, trying to drag them under. She told me it was a book based on true events. It proper traumatised me and up until I was about 12 I used to jump on and off my bed because I was convinced that the one time I let my guard down, it'll get me. Even as an adult in my 30s, i still think about regularly when getting in and out of bed, it just doesn't scare me anymore lol
