The groups has gone through some lineup changes since this video. If I Were a Rich Man/Girl is their latest members lineup. Another one of theirs to check out is Zombies vs Hillbillies - Survivor where they join with another excellent a cappella group Home Free, who also has a bass singer with a 5 octave range.

Ha ha, you didn’t notice that the bass singer, GEOFF, went from singing down in the depths of hell all the way up to a much higher and brighter voice. It’s hard to believe that it’s the same person, I hear he has a five octave range! That must’ve been about two minutes and 50 seconds into the video.

Voiceplay is amazing and I"m so glad you've found them! Not only are they all super talented, but they're very theatrical in their productions. They really get into whatever songs and roles they're portraying. Not to take anything away from any of the members, but the star of the group is most definitely Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci. He's the bass of the group, but he also has a 5 octave range. He's got a lot of solo stuff on his own channel you should dive into as well. The bassist name is Geeoff Castellucci.. he has a 6 ocrtave range without pushing.. the guy is inhuman, and he does some solo stuff you might wanna look at where he sings his own 6 part harmonies with himself.. look at his cover of Blackbird by the Beatles or 16tons by ernie ford for example.. but when they come together as voice play you get amazing wonders like this or ' My Mother told me' ... As others mentioned, lead singer of this song, Geoff Castellucci has his own channel. He does covers of songs from Blackbird to Misty Mountain Cold (The Hobbit). It getting back to the holidays starting with Halloween - Geoff and Voice Play has songs on Halloween.
By the way, Santa Claus was played by Geoff's brother in law I think....
geoff has a crazzy range 🤤 and this is what they do play with there voices also layne the beatboxer hits a low base line as geoff hits high notes 😊
Yeah, they have a whole NBC Playlist. One of their latest is a short of "Magic Dance" from Labyrinth. I'm REALLY crossing my fingers that they do more Labyrinth songs if it gets all the love from other fans that I know I have for that movie.

Another favorite of mine is their version of Grim Grinning Ghosts.
And this is why voice play and home free are good friends in a capella because Tim and Geoff have worked together so many times in the past to perfect thar craft.
VP and Home Free did a video called Survivor.
Geoff has done theme park work when he is younger, so he is super familiar with character voice work.

Welcome to the rabbit hole that is VP. I can honestly say that I have not found one song that I have disliked of theirs. I love theater and their videos are always very theatrical. You should also check out Geoff Castellucci's solo channel (He's the bass) for his version of the Headless Horseman.
As far as VP goes I always recommend Queen in 5 minutes, The Little Mermaid Medley, and Carry On My Wayward Son.

When my daughters (mid/late 30s) and granddaughters (ages 2 and 6) first discovered VP, they listened to both the "Little Mermaid Medley" and "Moana Medley." The vote was predictable -- the big girls went for their generation's favorite, and so did the little girls!

Yeah, that's a wholly appropriate first reaction to VoicePlay. They always blow me away with their theatricality, and their sheer musical skill. There isn't a weak member of the group, though sadly, both Earl (the one with the beard) and JNone (the one in the leather jacket) have left the group - Earl over a year and a half ago, and JNone a couple of months back to join the Navy choir. Still, even as they've been going through featured guest singers, they've been delivering outstanding work. They've even added a new permanent member after JNone's departure with Cesar De La Rosa, who has just blended so well with VoicePlay. He really feels like a good fit. One of the things I absolutely love about VoicePlay is that they deliver phenomenal work with just such a... big old grin on their faces, letting you know that they are having fun, and making it easier for you to join in on the fun. I will give you fair warning that their latest video, Hoist The Colors has been... quite rough on the reaction community from what I've seen XD At least two reactors that I've watched have, at one point, gotten up and had to walk away from the camera for a bit XD
In any event, welcome to the world of VoicePlay, I have no doubt that you are going to enjoy the living daylights out of it.

Hello Ms. Squirrel long time it's been. As you I am one of the biggest Nightmare Before Christmas fans. There all over my place all year and I have one arm tatted with them. Very dark and comical, but i didn't know the ghost of Heath Ledger's Joker was singing in it..
