MBAs are not skill courses, however The "B-tech" are but our education system is so #ucked up that it's almost become a tradition to follow the suit like B-Tech and MBA, so much so that some lusty colleges have started providing the integrated courses on that line up. A technical skill is a different thing than operating a business.
Engineering does teach you technical problem solving skills , even if you are bad at it, you was way better then any BBA graduate out there. So in a long run engineering pays if not for an immediate job placements
All kinds of engineering departments are really cool and interesting if one got a love for it, say, electricals, mechanical, chemical, robotics, etc, but it's sad to see that India doesn't have much scope for these fields due to lack of manufacturing infrastructures snd development in the country. Only thing we got is Softwares and that's also mostly due to outsourcing work from foreign countries, now what will happen in next 6-10 years when ai might take over majority of that field too
But in my case it's different......I did engineering in EEE.....I got the job of 5lpa as a fresher even after 2years Studied for govt exams.......you have to find where the jobs availablity n u have to fit in it with skills.....only IT sectors not have jobs......there are many jobs in hardware also..........😅😅

Then there are people in comment section who announces, i earn this and that as engineer and whatnot. Just because there is Ambani in india doesn't change the fact that average yearly income of Indian is around 1.5 lakh rupees. If you are pursuing engineering, there is 95% chance that you will be disappointed. Ofcourse, you could be lucky one.
