- In this video I will be doing a true unboxing of the brand new Samsung Galaxy S24! It's my first look at it and I give you my first impressions!
I always love going with the regular S24. It's the one that seems to get left out and to be honest, it's always a great phone! At $799, do I think it's worth it for 2024?

Love how everyone says the design is apple like just because apple never came up with a new idea and just makes the same thing every year, unlike samsung, they have so many designs.
Well it is, lol. It's not a bad thing. I love the flat edges so much more. All phone companies will copy design elements and that's completely fine. For example, Apple didn't create Titanium but everyone is naturally gonna say Apple did it first.
@@RoyFlorez Yeah, agreed, never said it's a bad thing it's just kinda funny to me, even tho they are both on par with each other, with both having better and worse things than the other, people will still like the more expensive one and compare stuff to it, but this year Samsung is a clear winner if you ask me.
this design is so nice and clean. screw the curves i hope they make the ultra phones even more boxy in the future

ITs going to be faster a21 your able to move have alot of apps open even if a game that use memory that ram won't slowdown the phone, cause of that snapdragon gen 3.
Gaming feel faster smooth 60fps and can handle game up to 120fps.
Camera is real good idc what other say hey mind the camera business :)
Fron't camera will look really dang good!

I got this same one not because of price, but because of size. It's a 1:1 copy of my iPhone 13 pro. I've been loving it! Such a snappy phone.

@JDRos it's awesome man. I got imessage to work on my android. Look up bluebubbles and it'll show you how to install it etc.
You have to have a mac or macbook to leave on 24/7 as a server but it's super easy to install. I've been using it since I got this phone and it's been flawless.

Here in India Samsung gave exinos 2400 processor.... What is your opinion for that? And in comparison with iPhone 15 how is this phone?
I got the plus model and in a marble grey color just for a change in color coz i always pick black...im glad that i doesnt attach too much dust dirt or lint on it and im on a clear case..not too big not too small just perfect for my hands ...looking forward to you case reviews..
Great review. You've helped me make my decision. I'm trading up from an S9 and I'm going with the "regular" S24 256gb. I just switched providers and I can't pass up the deal although my S9 is still working very well.

I got the Spigen Tough armor and the Zero one White. They look incredible. At first I was going to get a samsung case but Spigen cases r so good imo.

Great phone, mine came yesterday. Violet color.
I currently have the new S24+ in Cobalt Violet. The phone is fantastic. My previous phone was an S20+, and it was definitely time for an upgrade. I really wanted the S24U in Titanium Violet, but my phone carrier was asking for a higher down payment, whereas the S24+ was free with a trade-in. Therefore, the S24+ was a win-win situation for me, as it offers the same features as the S24U, except for the S-Pen and the additional zoom camera feature.
Do you have the exynos or SD variant? If exynos how’s battery life and heating been?

Have the S24. It is a smaller phone but feels good to hold. Its a really fast phone(snapdragon version)

Mine doesn't have the obvious antenna band underneath the power button
Finally got tired of the brick phones so I sold both my Pixel 8 Pro and S23 Ultra and ended up buying the S24 and I am so glad I did. This is the perfect size for me and I also bought the Pitaka sunset as my case for this phone. Love it!
Net difference (Including estimated 12 month trade value) at my MVNO would have been $125.00.
$125 gets you...
12 GB > 8 GB RAM
512 GB > 256 GB Storage
6.7" > 6.2" Screen
1440p > 1080p Resolution
4900 mAh > 4000 mAh Battery
That's a lot for $125 so that makes the S24+ the sweet spot.
Naturally I bought the S24 instead because I don't really need any of that. 8-12' drops and being mashed into the ground by tracked vehicles is normal im my application. Smaller lighter phones with less surface area tend to survive better (Ask my S10e). The S24+ would have been ginormous in the cases I require.
OFF TOPIC:
You should test some of the extreme duty cases like the Juggernaut SLEEV. I've seen those things bounce down the side of a mountain with no damage, but a few minor scuffs on the case. Fortunately I can get by with something lighter duty like a SUP UB Pro.
I have a LG G8, the display is 6'1 and when I switch from 1080p to 1440p, I can see a difference so I wish it was included with the S24. It doesn't even impact battery life (unless you play games I guess but I don't, so...)
To be honest except the processor, I don't even feel like I'm getting a better phone since I lose the 1440p resolution, the high quality DAC, the headphone jack and the SD slot. Kinda pathetic.
Hey there, woah what made you decide the base 24, the size? I currently have the s24 and S24 plus snapdragons and can't decide which to keep. With different trades they net at the same price. Part of me wants to keep the s24plus deal but I am also coming from S10e so not sure if ready to forgo compact phones. S24 plus is not as big as I thought in hand or heavy but there are some akward moments lol. Decisions.

You got it! SIze. If I worked an office job I would go S24+ and a JETech Slim Fit (0.85 mm TPU) and be happy.

@nraff414 absolutely, I did the trade in of my S23 for $550 off, I also managed to get 3 discount codes totaling $75 which I applied to total purchase. I also clicked on one of the many links going around that stated you'd get the $75 instant credit(highest amount for S24) with a purchase and that's what I used for the battery pack, tracker and charging brick! Total was $177 shipped!

256 GB Black Onyx S24 for me. Upgrading from an S10, which still suits me but the charger port is failing. It's the perfect size. I don't want anything larger.
When Samsung use too be poor they provided everything. Now they become rich they stop providing accessories 😆
Unfortunately copying the homework of Apple on that. Just the norm now which is unfortunate.

In comparison to my previous device, the TCL 30 XE, I have recently upgraded to this phone. Prior to that, I was a Samsung user. However, I must express my utmost satisfaction with this phone.

Went from my Galaxy 8s😂😂😂 which I love to the violet color to this news24 had for less then a day... so far it's fast light in weight need some getting used to it...
Am film has a great screen protector that works great with the finger print
I've had no issues, I haven't even turned on the feature it seems to still work

I got the s24+ in marble grey, but i don't really like the colour. It got great upgrade specs, but i'm also expecting to get the the base s24 in onyx black and sapphire blue around 14 february. Its really hard to make a choice, the base s24 got the best form factor. And samsung is playing tricks here in europe, the base s24 is only available with 128gb or 256 storage. But if you go online to samsung korea, then the base s24 is available with 256gb or 512gb! So samsung next year wordwide the base s25 with 512gb and the snapdragon 8 gen 4😂

8:48 I got an S21 for Christmas. It's a great phone but the battery doesn't last the longest. I have to use 60hz to get longer battery. With 60hz, my battery lasts me around 8-9 hours. With 120hz, it drains faster. I miss 120hz
Im sure there are some other tweaks you can do to save battery while using 120hz

I traded my S21 Ultra for this phone and using it as my secondary (iPhone 15 Pro max as my main) and I really like it. I have the whitestone screen protector and the fingerprint scan works really well with the S24.

Strongly disagree. Those cheap buds were junk and i always threw them out as I have much better ones already (more electronic waste). And I would hate if they added $100+ buds which would drive up the cost even more. If you are buying an $800+ phone, I bet you already have other buds as well. Only the cheap phones should come with some.

What made you think everyone in the USA pays sales tax?
Some states have neither a state sales tax or a state income tax, some have one or the other and some have both. The USA doesn't have a Federal Sales Tax.
I like keeping it obvious what taxes you are paying. It's more obvious to people what's going on (When the municipal sales tax was raised 1% the entire city council and mayor here were not re-elected).
You don't get something for nothing though. You are going to have to pay for State, County and Municipal Governent via either Sales, Income or Property Tax (All states have excise tax on some products like gasoline as far as I know).

With my VMNO $700 Extra + Trade - In Value Promotion the most you could end up paying for a prebuy S24 was $98.99. Because they don't credit the money back to your card until they receive and evaluate the phone you have to pay sales tax on the entire $799.99. Samsung credits up front (saving sales tax) but would still have been a worse deal.

@@polofunk nope I do own a s24+, I traded a Fold 4, also had the note 10+, the S8 and the S4. I know what I m talking about. My gf got the S20fe also. If you can't see the difference or don't believe me, go to a store and compare side by side the S24 series and the S23 series, or wit the fold 5 and s23fe. Every single flagship from samsung looks better than the s24 series in vivid mode.
Don't ever tell me i'm an apple troll. I'm super sad from this samsung choice and think about switching to the s23+ instead
@@Will2GD true but we know it has the capabilities to display a better vivid screen so it isn't about the hardware on the phone but more about the software, i would say that one software update will fix this problem with may others don't forget with the exynos chip u get 7 years of upgrades so i would say it isn't that big of a problem
@@polofunk now that the update gives vividness options. Install it. Go to screen settings, vivid mode, advenced settings, you have a new vivid bar. If you can t see the difference I can't do anything for you. So no, i was not lying.
