Just need to check the service manual on what it's typical rpm idle is suppose to be adjusted at. I believe the idle should be about 1200 rpms. Maybe it needs adjusted? Or it's reading wrong?
@@grownmanoutdoors4274 the settings are important for tuning if I tune it while the tach is on the wrong setting the motor will run like dog turds, I tried tuning with 2p1r and ever since the motor just doest seem right. So I've been looking into the proper tachometer setting and trying to tune it again.

Just wrap the built in wire around the spark plug wire and it should work just fine. Don’t believe it’s necessary to change any settings.

My mud buddy Vanguard 21 idles at around 1,400 and max throttle 3,600
Mine idles at around 1150-1200
