- The new parade "Magic Happens" at Disneyland on its opening day. And this is its first performance at night.

SONY A73 + TAMRON 28-75 f2.8 Lens
Tripod + Fluid head
I think my favorite part of this parade is the last part starting from all classic characters showing up. The music is very catchy. The moment when Tinkerbell throw pixie dust to the sky made me emotional. My favorite float is the Cinderella one. The colors are blended so perfectly with its orange pumpkin carriage and Cinderella's blue dress. The dance is just as elegant and classic as the original Cinderella transformation scene.

I really wish I can continue working on this kind of video for Disneyland but I have temporally moved to Arziona to pursue my graduate degree. Once I graduate, I will move back to California and hopefully I can settle down near Disneyland and continue shooting videos. My first trip to Disneyland (any disney park) is duing its 60th anniversry and I really love this place! I also been to WDW and Shanghai Disney resort but Disneyland is still the one and only in my heart.

As a now former cast member thanks to covid, I really loved watching the rehearsals at night before this launched. Nowhere near enough guests got to experience this parade. It's the best yet !
I hope you and the rest of the cast members all get your jobs back! The only park I've been to is Paris but i always watch videos of peoples experiences in the other parks and seeing the cast members gives me so much joy! Thank you for making our experiences so magical whether its virtually or in real life! ♥
You too? Was apart of the College Program that was supposed to go from Jan-the end of July. But yeah, it was amazing watching this the night before it launched.

The costumes for this parade are absolutely incredible! Looking forward to the day I get to see it in person.
It's so surreal knowing this was filmed right before the world completely shut down, but it's so great knowing this is back at Disneyland, and we're slowly starting to feel the magic again! I hope I can see it in person soon! You can tell the imagineers and cast members put their whole heart into it! Also, Kristoff stopping to talk to the kids in the audience was so adorable!!
Just saw it on the 9th of this month and it was absolutely fantastic!! Todrick Hall and everyone who worked on this really showed out! So much magic
and the floats and costumes are gorgeous and the music is perfect and it's very fitting for the 100th. I truly hope you go experience it. It made me tear up a little being there and being in person especially after COVID and everything we all dealt with. It felt very much like being back to as normal as we could be. ☺️💕
@@CJxLuvly I'm sorry I'm late replying, but I had the pleasure of seeing it last May with some friends! We all got to choose a "must-do" for the day, and this was mine! It was so fun and vibrant and just a great time! Even better seeing it in person! So glad you got to experience it as well!

Yeah, some parades NEED to be seen in person. Like Paint the Night, when I managed to see it live for my 30th birthday back in '18 I was overwhelmed.

OMG! I love this parade!!! It has so many elements I have never seen in a Disney parade before. First they have floats with all the newest movie characters on them which is a nice change of pace. Also this is the first I have seen a a Sword in the Stone float and I've rarely seen the Blue Fairy in a parade. Also the three good fairies!? With Princess Aurora's half pink/half blue dress!? My mind is blown!
It's so amazing! I'm also a HUGE fan of Todrick Hall and he truly created a masterpiece along with the help of all the cast members who built this parade. It's such a great one and the Moana float is absolutely incredible in person! It looks like a giant fish tank or portal to the ocean on wheels. It doesn't look like screens at all which is very cool!
6:10 good to see that drummer still in action! He was awesome in the soundsational parade as a drummer! Badass mate!

This entire parade is simply magical!!!! I absolutely love Tinker Bell pixie dust moment 🧚🏻✨and Merlin dance moves. Magic Happens parade has just moved to my top favorite with Paint the Night second 💛

I am Japanese! I listen to Magic Happens songs every day. I love that much! The reaction of the guest is amazing! Japanese people quietly watch parades and shows, so I was surprised at the loud cheers! Are Japanese shy? But it's also good to
have fun with the guests together!
Yeah I agree, I am Chinese and I personally prefer the Disney Park in California and Orlando more than the Shanghai Disney park. The atmosphere is way better. Western people are more outgoing and willing to express their feelings.

@@pixiearchive5078 Agree, I'm from Hong Kong. Hong Kong Disneyland has less atmosphere than the others. People are shy to talk with characters. Japanese is actually more better than Hong Kongers in Disneyland. Sometimes, we have too much concern like knowing they are fake and talk to them is so awkward

We saw this parade yesterday in the daytime at Disneyland. It was just amazing! I can see how much more amazing it would have been to see it at night. Next time. Thank you for this beautiful video. I feel like I'm there again.

Looks like the final unit has a different tempo than the others. Between the Frozen and final units people would hear different tempos. I suggest that they should add an extra unit (Pixar maybe) between Frozen and final units that can use two different tempos but one at a time.

i would love to see Todrick Hall head start the parade to his own song singing and dancing with the dancers and lead Mickey and the others out. can you imagine how he felt when Disney contacted him and said they want a song done by him at Disneyland? if it was me i would've died and gone to heaven, i can't even imagine how he felt❤❤

Phenomenal video of Magic Happens! We got to see it a couple of times before Disneyland shut down. We're going back this weekend. I'm beyond elated but my heart breaks a little knowing we won't be seeing this amazing parade or fireworks or any other live shows. returning Spring 2023 for Disney's 100th, with Paint the Night to follow each night
I am not typically a fan of parades, but this parade is a joy from end to end. There's so much detailing and artistry to the costumes, unexpected characters, and an upbeat soundtrack. From the fairies walking and waving to some heroes walking the route as well, and Cinderella getting her own carriage and Tiana. I also like the appearance of Merlin and it was unexpected magic. It works all around.
The crowd's reaction to this parade is electric. I was hoping that this show would make its way to MK for the 50th, but what a disappointment WDW's 50th was. I'm hoping WDW gets a night parade like this. It definitely deserves it and the park doesn't have the capacity Disneyland has for rides. I really hope this parade makes its way to MK soon. Our parade is so outdated.
I'd also be fine with Spectromagic returning updated. Either way MK needs a parade. The fireworks are not enough to handle capacity. People need to be spread out more.
Anyway, wonderful parade and I really hope to see it designed for Magic Kingdom soon for that 10 p.m. parade slot like we historically had. If you have to use new IPs, this is the way to use them.
I hope this parade comes back and it comes to MK with some upgraded effects. It really is wonderful show, and Disney shouldn't be afraid to show it.
Plus this parade had such a bad premiere time. I think Disney could just reschedule the show and it'd be enormously popular.
They need to bring this back ASAP!
