    To be honest I really appreciate & like the look of the Horage.In my opinion, that company did a fantastic job & if it came from a watch company with heritage especially in the platinum finish it could have cost well over $20,000.Usd.

      For me it's not so much that they're unknown, but it's unattractive branding. Some obvious jokes aside regarding the name, it's just not attractive, the way they display it in dots looks like the name of a candy store. They really ought to rebrand, come up with something that would better pull people in.

      @@davec3651 On 2nd thought,I also concur ! The name just doesn't roll of your tongue P.S. If they have a competition with any person/persons who come Up with the Best New name from all over the 🌎 They'll win a New watch with the re brand name & $1,000.USD Their are some watch ⌚ lovers ❤ who definitely can get the job done ✔

    I love Horage. I just received their Autark Hv, and it’s easily twice the quality of its price.

    I pre-ordered the Atoll blue and I should get it sometime at the end of this month. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this piece, I love GMT watches and this will be my second integrated bracelet watch next to my dual time vacheron constantine overseas.

    Beautiful watch and specs! I'm very interested however timing is not right for me.
    Would love to see the power reserve change in the future, so that instead of a hand it has something like the Nomos power reserve. I find the hand a bit distracting.

    I pre-ordered one in Apr last year, no word on when I will get one. Last word was for Apr but crickets. Horage is have serious issues building, certifying, casing, and delivering this product. Indeed the issues are so great I have to wonder exactly how bad their non certified watches keep time, since meeting COSC standards seems to be a step too far for them. And the watch is now 10.4 mm thick, and they knew this when they provided the specs for this review-indeed the advertising was for the thinner number up to a few weeks ago when it was finally updated. So far it feels like the pre-order customers are getting the run around.

    I placed an order during one of the purchasing rounds, eventually cancelled it as I got 'the call' by my Rolex AD. I still have regrets about that. It's so. Damn. Compelling...

      @@Timeandtidewatches I bought at the last supersede, then when I cancelled I took a 5% hit on my deposit, so I think unless they'd credit that back and honour my initial purchase price, well, I will probably wait until they hit the secondary market. Perhaps they're following this thread. They could always reach out and do that, but I am not pinning my hopes to that, but one can dream!

      The Rolex A.D robbed you from owning a watch that is made with love and not part of a Madoff style pyramid scheme 😂

    I see promise in the case and movement, though this orientation isn't for me. If they just had a simple 3-hander, fixed bezel with a textured dial, I'd be sold. Something in the style of an Aqua Terra, GP Laureato, Royal Oak, or Zenith Defy could make this a really compelling offering.

    I think last two years watch hype changed peoples watchmaking appreciation. Now many, before buying a watch, don’t look in to ingenuity, labor, and esthetics, but in to how it will sell it. It is just sad.

    Nice looking watch. But I'm not sure I know how to read the GMT portion. For example: at 4:38, is GMT time 04:09 or 16:09?

    Am I the only one that noticed, the hands wobble really bad when you adjust the gmt hand? 😱 At this price point, surely you expect to be perfectly smooth. Honestly the watch is pretty nice looking, but the price of AUD $8k is pretty steep for a brand that is not much known.

  • @agorpb5871
    @agorpb5871 Před 2 lety

    Why does the minute hand bounce around when you adjust the hour hand?? Doesn't give me warm feelings about the all so important "in house" movement.

    Great watch, really like it apart from that brand typeface/logo, looks cheap.

  • @DavidDatura
    @DavidDatura Před 2 lety

    This watch has a heck of a lot going for it. Even if I don’t like the styling myself…just very nondescript with the double knurling on the bezel reminding me of a budget Seiko diver, and the dial complications looking like they’ve just been tacked on (a result of the modular movement I suppose) But the lack of screwed links on the bracelet, considering the excellent specification everywhere else, and the (not cheap) 5+ grand price point. Is an odd decision. Many $500 micro brands provide screwed link bracelets!

  • @stebesplace
    @stebesplace Před 2 lety

    It looks like a dual time, with an AM/PM indicator, not exactly a GMT watch, or maybe I'm reading it wrong. That's great for the price point, but pin and collar for north of $5K!? Yikes. Would it have been that much more to have screws? I'm also not a fan of the logo, doesn't look timeless and instead, cheap fashion watch-esque, but that's just me. movement however is fantastic, and this functionality seems like a win-win compared to the H. Moser which is 4X the price.

    Many things to like about this watch, but several more questionable choices too. The 24 hour indicator sticks out too much, wish they had a more colour coordinated look. And the knurling of the bezel is too coarse and tool-like, doesn't fit the more dressy and refined aesthetics of the rest of the watch.

      I don’t get why you talk resale??? It’s horolagy micro brand that packed so much , from movement to specs. In your case Rolex is one to go for. You will resell it at any time. P.S. where Rolex doesn’t worth, what it ask for.

      We're with you Artur, this is a very modern post-pandemic expectation - the focus should be what is the quality I am getting for this investment? What is the level of care and craftmanship? And on those fronts, Horage holds up - Andrew

  • @theoverlord1925
    @theoverlord1925 Před 2 lety

    AUD 8000 ! Nope , no thanks . You’ll be lucky to get $500 if you went to resell it. The GMT hand is also not very visible and overall the dial is not for me. Plus, at this price point pins and collars,really ? Horage ? More like Foutrage….

      @Timeandtidewatches  Před 2 lety

      Pay the pun, but who gives an eff about resale, what is this scourge of watches making money or holding value - apply the same mentality to every other product in your life and you'd be living in a cardboard box with Yeezys on - Andrew

    • @theoverlord1925

      I disagree with that statement , so I guess we can agree to disagree .My house for example went up in value by $300,000 in less than 3 yrs . Some things are appreciating assets and some are depreciating assets like watches and jewellery for example . That said , some savvy buyers can actually make money on watches if they buy the right watch at the right price , or at least get back what they spent ..Some known brands and models hold value while most others don’t . I ve lost too much money over the years buying and then selling watches that don’t hold value ; so I personally do care about value as I got slightly wiser over the years . Plus , this is ugly mate , at least in my opinion but I guess beauty lies in the eye of the beholder …. Good review and photography , so well done there ; but you guys are still omitting the weight of the watches which is such an important spec/ detail in my opinion …
