Just some minor adjustments and upgrades to the tile plow.

I like it! Suggestion, cut a groove with a grinder in the end of the pins so you can see if the hole for the retainer bolts is lined up without having to twist it and look for the hole. Cool project boys.
I was about to suggest the same, only I would have said to use a chisel to mark the orientation of all the holes in all the pins. Especially those near the front of the plough.
I'd also weld a Nutt on the end for easy rotation adjustment
excellent suggestion!
@@wwflguy I like that idea too
Beat me to it.
Try some water pipe insulation on the hoses that run through the plate.
I've got to agree with Matt on the base. And it WOULD make life easier, at least at the yard as a place to "park" the tile plow when you need the "J" as a dozer,
39:09 put a little hair around it 😂 you guys are hilarious! All the positive energy and laughter is awesome! That's how every workplace should be. Cheers dudes🍻
Aaron and Mike are what makes video's fun with giggles and belly laughs...super cool guys...
Thanks
One more idea: taper the tip of each pin a little if there’s enough material. That way the pins can find their own way into all of the holes. I love the beautiful iron work that you have added. The plow looks like a battleship.
Building a base for this is a great idea!!!! You don't want to leave such a "Pimped Out Plow" in the dirt to rust away. Cheers!!
His videos are really impressive, I can tell he puts a lot of effort into them.
a base that can be lifted with a set of forks and a lifting eye would be interesting to watch you guys build.
I always enjoy watching his content.
Love Saying Aaron again he was dearly missed he always does a very good job at welding. Job well done for the both of you! Is only when Aaron gets back
Good morning all just having my morning coffee with my friends, good place to be!!!
Take a grinding wheel on your pin and scride a horizontal line across the pin and bracket that way you'll know what your pin alignment should be before you hammer it all the way in.
i would suggest a vertical line instead of a horizontal one so that it runs exactly the way the bore hole is for the bolt on the other end of the pin.
Brilliant idea Stanley but I gotta agree with Mr. Silent Epsilon as to direction of the scribe line.
I like the modifications and added gussets for sure. Should be a beast, and very handy with addition of the guidance, and possible GPS technology. Definitely build a stand!! Make it with a pallet fork design, so it can be moved and loaded without needing the dozer. 👍
To line the pins grind a line vertical on the end so the person putting the pin in knows what way it should be turned
Starting from an idea and creating something (with no design team and drawings) is amazing! Being flexible enough in your mind to make the improvements, I call it erasing steel!
It is not a negative... an amazing, rare ability.
Build an overhead A frame so it can just be lifted and stay there. Faster and simpler, plus can slightly twist it to reinstall.
When lifting the base unit put a chain fall from hoist hook to pipe on the rear then you can adjust chain fall length to take pressure off pins with the 3 points
A little dirt in my coffee this morning is always a good thing...
Nice to catch up and see the upgrades on the plow...
😎👍
This series has been great to watch. I’ll be watching for the next one with the guidance system install.
I don’t believe you could be an engineer, in the R&D department, for a company because your design is to user friendly for the everyday person to do maintenance on it without having to take it apart.
Being serious though, a lot of engineers could learn from this series of videos so they could learn how to make products user friendly for maintenance reasons. Great job
The engineers job is to come up with a design. A technicians job is to make it work. Dirt has shown he is both. It is even pleasing just to look at.
I think you have your pipe plow designed too the best that it can be now. It’s almost time to see it laying pipe. The laser guidance will be an excellent addition.
Nicely done, build came out great. Weld a nut on the flanged end of pins, be able to turn pin line up hole, or thicker flange. Also put a bigger lead in on pins, and tell nym to put on safety glasses when using hammer, one little piece of shrapnel is all it takes, stay safe.
Thank you for getting back to the project. Been anxiously awaiting these videos
I always admire the house and shop being together but the overhead Crain and monorail system makes it even more perfect.
Great video! Fun to see the progress. Take it from someone who has hearing loss, you need to wear hearing protection. You'll be glad as you age!
WHAT! Just kidding, yes, I am deaf in my right ear.
Mike, listen to Matt. He knows what he's talking about in regards to the stand. In fact, put him in charge of designing it and constructing it. Get the Captain to help him. With you and MBTS making inspection visits and offering con(de)structive criticism it should make for a very entertaining video.
Agreed on the very entertaining.
I think bomb proof would be more a accurate definition. I see a lot tile projects in your future sir. Thanks for the ride along young man, you nailed it as far as I am concerned.
Looks good guys. Matt’s suggestion doesn’t sound bad. It would probably be a lot better than just dropping it on the ground. Really enjoyed watching you guys build this unit. It’s been very interesting. As always thanks for sharing!
I agree. Burying it will cause it to rust. And depending on how deep, could clog the pipe feeder passage.
... maybe build the stand so that it can be lifted with forks and attach tie-downs to place the whole unit on a trailer deck and tie it down for moving without having to be attached to the dozer.
@@silentepsilon888 I was thinking the same thing we're even using some welded eye bolts to use a chain to lift and move because the forks might not be on the job site
Precision engineering with a pepsi can.. how to moon a gusset (16min 06) .. Genius Mike lol!!! Thanks for the update as always
I commented earlier that I believe the structure will bend. I guess to be right? With these and earlier confirmations, it starts to look better. There’s quite a lot of power in that 850, as you can see from the stretching of one mount. However, the truth will only be revealed when you hit the stone at maximum depth. Even worse if the stone is only on one side and it twists the immersion arm. Have you thought about it?
I do this kind of work, I design, build, solve problems.
Great project….love the fine tuning process! Yes engineer and build the base!!
Weld a nut on the washer end. Then you can spin it to align. That and a groove , would make it easy.
We call the upgrade or change a Manufacturer Campaign Change….lol. I can see the Engineering and fabrication hats in full mode. Your upgrade looks really strong and patent worthy…..Awesome video. I envision a Ripper Stand in your future….lol.
Just a few minor adjustments ,that plough looks brilliant once again well done to you and man behind the scenes cheers
Great idea NYAM BUILD THAT BASE! and thank you DP for the full length video nice work guys.
nice upgrade ,it came out nice.with the pins installed maybe weld an alignment markon the hamer side so you can get the retaining bolt to line up with the hole.
Build a base foe when not using plough so that it can stand vertical, not lying on the ground.
All I can say it's R&D you got to try to see if it works or not I think the horizontal pin should be better and by looking at the other hole you got lucky it didn't pull all the way through I have seen the shorts can't wait to see a full video of it working.
I love watching you guys work in the shop. I learned a lot from you both.
Great job on the fine tuning. So enjoyable to watch this project t come together.
I like Matt’s idea on building a base for the plow!!!
Always good to improve it before you have a major breakdown
Nothing wrong with a rev! It just means you have made it better! Thanks; Mike, Matt & Aaron! Lee
I like the way the man behind the scene says eyeballs before he starts welding I was holding pieces for a welder once and he never gave me time or warning to close my eyes before he started welding flash Burns hurt real bad
Looking forward seeing it in the field and build a base to disconnect it on
Defiantly build a stand. Make it so you can pick it and the plow up with a fork lift or loader and take the plow to the dozer. It will make your life a lot easier.
Improvement is a good thing nothing wrong with that all you need is the work to make it pay for itself 😃⭐
Yes a BASE would be nice to have, doing it for my snowblower and dozer blade attachment on my Cub if I can get time this summer.
I like your videos and I use to operate equipment before I retired and really enjoy your work. Be safe and enjoy your work.
it looks good but I would put a mark on the pin to get the Hohl lined up so you can put in the holding pin in very easy
Matt has the right idea for a stand, will make it easier to move the plough if you are not quite lined up on it.
Improvements were needed, had no idea the torsion forces would tear the plate like that so quick. With all the pins pulling across the plough, this should help to spread the force evenly across the entire dozer. Just as well Jason turned up to keep you right with mounting the new bracket too !!!
Thanks , like the video Mike and more brace are welded .
Great job !!! I LOVE "Gussets"
Hey Mike
On the NEW & IMPROVED version if you still have issues with the pins egging the holes out you could do as you said and bush it but a suggestion would be is to put "hardened" bushings in.😉👍👍
Great job guys! Yes build a stand for it with slots for forks.
Matt almost has the style as Aaron. A great vedio of skill, character and great personality! Watched every second ❤️❤️
YES a portable base that you can take on and off trailer with the attachment sitting in it.
DP from a strictly non-operator point of view I could see Mr Millenial’s idea of stand of some kind handy down in your yard at the market rather than stabbing into the ground. Great video, nice to MBTS this morning
Great job. Grinder a line on the pins to help line the pins up. And great idea for a base for it to sit on.
the base sounds awesome but a bunch of work to make it stable.
iteration is how us tech people move things forward. think it applies every where. nice work
Aaron, I know this ain't your video but you are the star. Your welding skills are amazing. I still watch the video you made of your team welding the steam pipes in the top of the power house. Wow!!!!! It is the best.
Hey DP, Congrats on the final design.
Got my first experience on a dozer, a Case 550D, no joysticks on that baby. It’s not as easy as you make it look. Mad respect to you, Jerry and all the other operators who do it so well.
That pin setup was a concern of mine. Nice fix. I tend to go extreme on projects like this. Excellent design.
Don't need a base, just two legs on each side, set it on the ground like it is now and put a leg on each side to sturdy it pull pins lower riper drive off.two pinnacle legs.
Yeah for the Base !
Hey Mr. DP I think think they call that recall updates it looks good man glad you fix report did break be safe DP I had heard you say anything about the track update how did it perform with the new tracks
Guys like you are one in a million to be able to think outside the box. Great job on designing and fabricating your tile plow.
love the Tile Plow MK3 the new attachment points are so much nicer and easier to hook up. I like the Idea of a stand for the TP MK3 and Rob Long's idea for a pallet fork design so your loader can move it in the yard or shop, plus make a harness to attach to a excavator to pull it if needed in the field. love the work you all are doing on the TP MK3 I am looking forward to see how the laser equipment works on it. see you all soon.
Try grinding a groove in your pins in line with the holes to help alignment… incredible project Who needs an engineer…lol
I thought for I'd see the Easter bunny before this build. I once though I was wrong, but I was mistaken. Thanks for a good end to an Aussie Good Friday. If you want to some some good Aussie engineering, check out Cutting Edge Engineering Australia. Just don't let the kiddies or those easily offended watch the outtakes after the credits.
We weld a 6" length of 1/2" square bar across the end of the pin !- makes it easy to spin the pin with the same hammer used to knock the pin in. No Wrench required and tap for fine tuning
ABSOLUTELY Build a base!
"YES" Great video and well done!
🙂
Build a base 👍👍👍👍you have a beautiful piece of equipment well made and designed and on a low budget now it needs a base to show it off and make dismantling it straightforward 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Build the base, Have Fun!!
YES, build a rack for the Ripper, great Video.
yes to the base!!!!!
Base for sure
Mr. Malenium(sp) is correct again. I think you need to build a stand for the plow and maybe a covered stand to keep the plow out of the elements. After all, it is a pretty expensive piece of equipment and it is a "I built it" type of equipment.
Dp that’s First class Research & Development.
Yes, build a stand so its possible to move it whit the forks of the loader
Cant wait till we can see it in action with the laser setup 👍
Mike those are improvements. I call that R. D. that is what good builders do. That till plow is the 👌 have you figured out how mutch till you will have to put in the ground to pay for the plow. I think that you will have the plow payed for in two jobs. That is a successful business owner. Keep up the great videos.
I’m glad I stuck with this build from the beginning. I appreciate all your attention to detail with the structure and the appearance. This speaks very positively to who you are and how any outcome with your work can be respected. That is also why you have kept a successful business for so long. Damn good work team DP!
Thanks
yes I would love to watch any videos
A base would be great but buried in the ground is cheaper. Nice improvements and great work. Stay safe
Hi from uk Mike and crews 👋👍 great choice to upgrade the weakest bits👌 again its goin to be trail and error for a bit until the unit is 100% tho your at 99.9% there is hope that nothing else goes and everything will stand up to the forces 👍 great job tho still outstanding engineering 👌 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon 👍👋
Great work Mike, the concept, execution, and evaluation have been well done. All projects have tweaks that need to be made. Would be nice to add the pin bosses to some of the connections on the ripper to prevent those holes from being elongated. Easy mod.
I am not in favor of the storage mount. Would be very difficult to haul safely. But that is just my opinion.
Thanks again for sharing. Amazing work.
Like the base idea but might I suggest that it be set up so that it can also be used with the plow upside down for future upgrades & repairs.
The overhead crane impresses me most. That’s a lot of weight
Great work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
Build the base! :)
You guys crack me up!! Lol 🤣🤣. Nice improvements on the plow!! Thank you for the videos!! 👍 Always a pleasure to see Man Behind The Scene, on the scene!! 💯💪
Thanks
Yes on building a base.
Yes Build a storage stand you get yourself there one mad a fine tail plow and it needs a mighty fine storage stand with some forklift pockets in it so we can be picked up and moved and I’ll kinds of good stuff like that
Build a base. Love to see that
I think a base would be a great idea as it would make it easier to unhook and hooking back on possibly without using any other machines, in the event you can't access any machines to help 😉 😀 🤔 👍👍
Thanks for the update been waiting
You should score a little slot in both ends of each pin aligned with the retention hole
yes, build a base for the tile plow!! Love all of the video's and cannot wait to see it at work for Farmer Chris!
For some that were super quick not long ago this is a rerun. Still gonna like and watch it all again. 😂😂😂😂😂
Yep build a base be so cool to watch that looks good
Yes! Build a base!
