- My Hero used to be an anime you could rely on for good animation and a great story. The story is up for debate, but the animation has definitely taken a huge hit after Season 4. Let me know if you agree or disagree in the comments!
P.S. I meant to make an argument for the sky color with Endeavor vs. High-End Nomu's fight but copyright won't let me show it. This WILL be a separate video that I will make, just gotta find a way around the copyright, my apologies for not being able to get to it in this video.

They released a second trailer with better shots, also the sky in the Star & Stripes fight will turn dark mid fight. As you can see in one of the shots of shigaraki in this trailer.
@@CellArcs far shots? you mean shots that are far in the distance? most of my critiques were of pretty close shots aside from the mountain and the backgrounds

I deff agree that the last half of season 6 looked good and is honestly the best MHA has looked in a long time, can't agree that it looks the same though...feel like character models used to be more consistent and there used to be more dynamic animation and less still shots, I will say that some shots have looked better in the most recent trailers so I'll hold out some hope haha
Honestly you are being so picky, I’m Japanese and this anime is first anime that ever got in to.
I love the animation on season 6
I respect your opinion but To add context aswell as to disagree in some areas
1. Its not bad, mhas stilk has many shining moments aswell as Season 6 was a big step up from s5, especially with episodes 1-6, 8, 11, and a majority of cour 2 being incredible animation and art wise for mha standards, its still servicable and does its job, simply has poor adaptation consistency and is outdated due to newer series stepping the bar up
2. After season 3, there was a new series director in charge aswell S half of the staff left studio Bones
3. With all of this in mind and the fact that the series grew even more action packed, Toho Animation giving studio bones 1 year for 25 episodes simply isnt enough time
4. Mha backrounds are outsourced by Musa Studio, and they clearly dont have a great chemistry with Bones's C studio Team so they can look off for sure
5. S7 has a brand new director who has been extremely vocal and positive with fans online aswell as the staff list has grown exponentially since s6, Umakoshi Is also coming back full time as a key animator which hasnt been since s3
6. Judging off s7 trailers, outside of 2 or 3 shots, the character art and animation looks very crisp and different compared to previous seasons, heavily emphasizing bold outlines in the art at times. Not to mention the backround for the Flying UA looks better than most mha battlefield backrounds

5:55 They changed the sky color to red for a few seconds when Endeavor was fighting Shigaraki and that one scene was pretty hype. Then it immediately changed back to blue and I guess it was just for the Hell's Curtain that Endeavor used. It does give me some hope for the Todoroki fights at least
I haven't really kept up with MHA since season 4 and only half-heartedly watched seasons 5 and half of 6. I don't remember much about the animation quality in the last few seasons, but I'm willing to hold my judgement until season 7 actually starts to air. If this teaser trailer came out months ago, I'm willing to bet that it's just rushed work and not necessarily indicative of the quality of season 7's animation overall.
I gotta look at that again! Damn, I was so hoping to show the sky color for the high end fight but I'll make a diff video about that
Brother I'm sorry but everything you said is nonsense, not everyone is made for this stuff, or at least educate yourself in the stuff you're talking about, like this just feels like you want to criticize for the sake of criticism to sound smart
bones makes so much money from mha it's so ridiculous to me they don't invest more. they have done so many wonderful series like mob psycho, so they know how well you can do a project when you have the time to work on it. the anime can never reach the horikoshi greatness and that's something i had to accept a long while ago 😔 im manga only since season 5
also the blue sky kills me everytime. the battle takes place on a sunny day sure, but the coloring makes everything look so bland and poorly done it ruins the vibe completely. i wouldn't mind waiting two years for a new season if it meant greater quality, but bones is so money hungry they'd rather deliver a half ass done project instead
@@gowon_supremacy for sure, we've seen them animate greatness in MHA itself! With movies and special moments like Overhaul vs. deku, tough to see them take such a nosedive it's confusing honestly
The biggest issue the show has is the atrocious art direction (the backrounds) and the dull composite. The art is fine most of the time and the show does struggle to move but that's always been the case tbh.
It's not surprising after realizing they produce 24/25 episodes a year.
The backgrounds are definitely my biggest problem with MHA. They're so undetailed, boring and honestly ugly. The show would look 10x better if only the improved the sky and backgrounds imo
Yeah the background hit their peak in seasons 3 and 4 imo, even 1 and 2 weren't bad but 5 and 6 were atrocious

I’m actually gonna vomit bro this is fucking ridiculous, bones is a great studio and they did a phenomenal job with mob psycho, the only theory I have is that THE STUPID MOVIES ARE THE REASON FOR LOW BUDGET, they’re focusing all their profit and time into that when we’re in the final steps of MHA I waited years for WAR ARC specifically “286” one of my favorite chapters of all time and they absolutely ruined it , horrible music choice , blue sky’s, bad animation and overall just unenjoyable , they redeemed themselves with deku vs lady nagant and that scene and atmosphere was done absolutely AMAZING, so if they actually ruin this I will I quit mha and just read it from now on because this is embarrassing and heart wrenching as the previous seasons were so so good.
Season 6 is so fucking bad, it literally just starts and is all over the place, boring as hell and had to skip through a lot of episodes. Very disappointing
