The historic KLRU Studio 6A, home to 36 years of ACL concerts, has been designated an official Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Landmark. In 2011, ACL moved to the new venue ACL Live at The Moody Theater in downtown Austin. ACL received a rare institutional Peabody Award for excellence and outstanding achievement in 2012. Love hearing Jason explain his songwriting. He puts a lot of thought into his lyrics and writes the most beautiful songs not typical of most songwriters. If We Were Vampires is a love song that stands out from all other love songs just as he intended. And yes I heard every word. Just turned up my volume button.

More than a little ironic that the concert sounded so good and this interview is barely audible. I guess Austin City Limit's sound man didn't hang around to mix the interview...

Geez... we're all eating a sh!t sandwich here... everyone has advantages and disadvantages. Money is the ultimate equalizer. If your work is more valuable to the person writing the checks... then you'll have doors open all over. If I moved or grew up in Japan would I really have the same opportunities? No. Try and find a scholarship for a poor white male to go to college?
