WOW. I've been on your (and my) summer tour down, but always wondered about the winter trip. Now I know. This was quite the trip.. Scenery, skiers, sledders with kids and SNOW. Loved every bit of it. Next up --- watching the snow clearing devices in action.

In my view the Gornergrat line is far better scenically than the line to Jungfraujoch. Remember that much of the Jungfraujoch line is underground! Gornergrat is also far far cheaper. It is particularly annoying that tourists like me with a Swiss Travel Pass only get 25% off the Jungfraujoch fare instead of the 50% off you get on other mountain lines such as Gornergrat and Pilatus.

We rode up together to Gornergrat on Monday March 4, which was a blue sky day like this. We rode down to Rothenboden, and I skied on and she walked to Riffelalp. We liked Zermatt so much, we'll be back next year.
