Thank you for introducing Omnibus issues to me. With hindsight, I recall possessing some of these stamps in a collection handed over to me. I will now go over these stamps with keen interest and may pursue adding some more to the collection.

The best! British Commonwealth in pastel colors! They are definitely my favorite! Thanks!

About time someone looked at these in some depth. I am particularly interested in any book that focuses on the varieties of the Silver jubilee omnibus. The extra flagstaff removed (all Malta and 2 of the Gambia set) intrigues me, how do you value them, how can you differentiate between a normal extra flagstaff that has had its flagstaff fraudently removed to thus look like that altered in 1935?

Hi Paul. Check out www.silverjubileestamps.com and also a book on the subject by Ainscough. Hopefully you'll find it interesting!

Thanks for this. I have the book/pamphlet you refer to, but printed in 1985, nothing since?

Same goes for the George VI VICTORY issue in 1946

Hi Roger. We can't think of an equivalent website or book which deals with the 1946 Victory in the way as the 1935 Silver Jubilee has been studied, probably as its single- plate monocolour production gives less for the specialists to get 'their teeth into'!

Of all the queens in the world Queen Elizabeth II is my favorite.
