Honestly this advice is for people still trapped in lust but there is a level that’s above this that we all should reach for and fall back to this after reaching for sainthood in our hearts

No…sex with your spouse is not “trapped in lust.”
@xxFairestxx It is not sex itself which is lust, but man's natural disposition to live for his own pleasure rather than the joy of another. In some sense, sex cannot have its full expression, clean and unstained from pride, until we are saints. Because only then will we have the total, all encompassing, and self emptying love that only longs for the joy of the beloved. But pride is deep and the road is long, so St. Paul proscribes a relationship to work these things out within. But its important for Christians to recognize this battle against pride and selfreference that we may fufill the calling of the gosepl to through grace and the work of Christ within us embody his self sacrifical love that could care less about its own pleasure or comfort and only wishes to see its beloved exalted. And when two people exemplify this equally in a marriage that is when the true beauty of sexual intimacy becomes possible. And so, we have to examine our conscience and be good asetics, and practice prayer without ceasing to really love our spouse the way God loves us. But we cannot acomplish this with created love. So we must consent to be transfigured by His all consuming flame.

Many Roman Catholic converts report appreciating things like this and the more positive view on relations in Orthodoxy, a real sex positivity which is yet far from the degenerative hedonistic sexual positivity of today.

@IN-pr3lw he said couples shouldn't have relations during fasting periods. I would agree if both sides want that, but as Saints Paul and John Chrysostom say, it is better to lawfully unite than to unlawfully burn in lust. I like Peter Heers in general though, just wrong on this one topic imo.

You can not have sexual relations feeling disgusted by them. If you reached a level of feeling disgusted by your husband, for example due to his alcoholism or whatever, this is no good advice.
Yes, both have to work out their sins.
The Gospel is the best advice, it's just hard to do.
Or if he is only seeking his own sexual satisfaction...sorry but, no thanks🫣☝🏼✝️
