People talk so much shit about Ken Block, but in every interview I see him in, he's always so humble and pleasant.

I hate over hyping just as much as the next person, but blame media, not the subject. They'd hype paint drying if they thought if would bring attention.
I kinda just hate the whole bro culture he stands for and represents... Like he tries to always shoehorn Monster Energy and DC shoes into everything he does. Especially annoying with his "look at me" style of doing things.

Ken Block...You're my frickin gymkhana hero! He's so precise and smooth...I've never seen anything like that. Even the fuzzy steering wheel was cool (well...ok, not as much as the driving).
The fact that Ken drifts an AWD car like an RWD fills me with awe. He has some serious car control :o
AWD is quite literally easier to control mid-slide.
He is drifting like other people walk in the park. So chilled while drifting/sliding.

Well... if I were to have an awd drift car, I'd just pick a crown Victoria
itsjustacop that's what I would personally would do as well. I just feel very awkward while driving with both hands on the wheel unless I am going at a high rate of speed. One time when I was driving after the snow storm just finished in New Jersey and I was driving with my permit. The back tires on the car i was driving lost grip as I was making a right turn. And so I counter steered and the car went sideways for a good bit of time without crashing into any of the other cars in the road. My dad was surprised that I knew immediately what to do when the car lost contact and that I could get the car where I wanted it to go and in pretty much the safest manner possible. He asked me how I knew what to do and I said a whole lotta driving in GTA 5 LOL. But during that turn and the counter steering and keeping control of the vehicle i really did feel great. And I loved every second of it. I am thinking about getting into rally racing. Or at least drifting.

I've heard dubstep before but I have yet to hear enough of this glorious sounding v8. Great job at starting off with a fantastic interview and then shitting the bed on the onboard.

No. Stage is referring to the type of rally, being on a closed course. Usually in timed increments with each driver going at different times. You are way off.
The way he uses the front wheel drive to pull him out of the drift is pretty amazing.
You know what, I'd love to see this car being set up for the track and driven that way. Stiffer suspension, longer gear ratios, I think it would be quite a serious piece of kit.
Great guy and a very good driver. That said, I think RWD drifting is more impressive than 4WD. With enough room a 4WD can often claw itself out of the oversteer with some throttle. On the other hand, barreling down country roads in a rally car is the single most difficult thing there is in motorsport I think.

Craziest thing on wheels. No navigator and no protection hitting 200 mph on country roads and two wheels puts rally car racing to shame when it comes to big man balls.

They certainly take more risks yes. But they know the track like the back off their hands, they're not constantly on the limit between grip and slide and most importantly, the pressure is a lot smaller. No big company to slap their hands when they lift.

it's a lot harder to throw that car in an oversteer type of cornering . it's a very well know fact that 4wd likes to understeer more than oversteer

In general yes, but with a custom build like Ken's driving you can set it up as oversteery as you want by sending more power to the rear.

AWD drifting is much more challenging than RWD... you have to steer alot differently and unlike RWD, timing is the most important part, not throttle.
You can see how much power this thing has by just looking at them jump forward when he shifts to next gear.

Drifting was started by the Japanese and there is a story in which a delivery boy drove a modified ae86 and encountered a sharp corner and instinctively pulled his handbrake. Thus led to a power slide, and the car did not lose speed, and went through the corner without crashing. *He modified his ae86 to make his deliveries faster.* ~From what I heard which I believe was logical.

Drifting is a controlled sliding maneuver at full throttle, in a nutshell. I would love to spend a weekend in this car with this dude, that would be the ultimate vacation.

I get that you're joking, but just... No. People who treat classic cars simply as metal boxes that happen to be old are the worst people. There is a finite fucking amount, the more people that go around mindlessly destroying them, the less there are for enthusiasts to appreciate. There's barely even any Mustang left on this, so as long as what they started with was a rusty body and not a complete car (tearing apart a complete car to modify it is just as bad as taking a sledgehammer to the car), as long as nothing happens to any of the original parts I couldn't care less what happens to this car.

What Matt said is true. The car is set up to drift very stably. Looking at Ken's steering input, every angle you feed it almost needs no big corrections. I think this car will do very very well in any Drift event. Ken should try at least 1 round just to see if he could fill his off season time for it.

the title is pretty misleading. I felt a little underwhelmed at the end. If the title would have said: quick interview with ken block or something like that, the drifting at the end would have felt like a bonus. This way around, I just got information that pretty much everybody already knows and too less drifting.
The video itself is totally fine, but please don´t put music over drifting sounds and think harder about the titles.

I wish I could meet Ken Block. Ever since I've seen his first video and played his Dirt rally games, I've been in love with cars and his work. My dream to ride with him in one of his cars. Because of Ken Block, I am going to school for automotive mechanics so I can always be around cars. Ken Block Is Beast!

I don't like to hate on this guy and what he does. I really dislike a lot of the elitism that can exist around drifting. His videos are pretty cool too, and I'm sure they take a lot of skill, that I could never hope to to compare to. That Mustang is pretty sweet as well (although I think I'd like it more if it was RWD). But I still can't help but be more impressed by what people like Tsuchiya and Team Burst do. I think RWD drifting just looks more graceful and entertaining to watch too.

I agree that *Tsuchiya is the shit*, but anybody can drift a RWD drift car, that's why there's youtube videos everywhere. AWD drifting is sliding THE ENTIRE VEHICLE and all 4 tires, infinitely harder to drift with the front AND rear of the vehicle, RWD is like ballet, AWD is more like breakdancing LMAO.
