Iron deficiency is the most common mineral deficiency in the world. But there is a very simple natural solution.
Symptoms of iron deficiency:
⢠Hair loss
⢠Arrhythmias
⢠Fatigue and weakness
⢠Dark circles under the eyes
⢠Restless leg syndrome
⢠Difficulty sleeping
⢠Low cold tolerance
⢠Split nails
⢠Trouble concentrating
⢠Fibromyalgia
We need iron to help build hemoglobin and thyroid hormones, to make dopamine, and to keep nerve impulses working correctly.
There are many different causes of iron deficiency. However, it's more common to have non-anemic iron deficiency than anemia. This means that the lack of iron isn't affecting the blood yet, but it's affecting other parts of the body.
Iron deficiency causes:
⢠Not consuming enough iron (animal products)
⢠IBS
⢠Inflammation
⢠Stress or trauma
⢠Bleeding or ulcers
⢠Low hydrochloric acid
⢠Menstruation
⢠Gastric bypass surgery
⢠Excessive exercise
⢠Antacids
⢠Fibroids
⢠Pregnancy
⢠Breastfeeding
⢠Puberty
⢠Eating disorders
⢠Phytic acid
⢠Tannins (tea, coffee, red wine)
⢠Chocolate
⢠Polyphenols (turmeric, red wine)
⢠Polymorphism
⢠Too much calcium or magnesium
⢠Infection
⢠Oxalates
It's best to get your iron from your diet before jumping into taking an iron supplement. Foods rich in iron are red meat, liver, and shellfish. However, liver pills or spleen pills could be good supplement options.
You also need to work towards identifying why you're iron deficient so that you can fix the root cause.
If you have too much iron in your body, you can try natural remedies, including:
⢠Distilled water
⢠Turmeric
⢠Cocoa bean
⢠Black tea
⢠A phytic acid supplement (IP6)
⢠EDTA

Thanks for watching! I hope this helps you better understand the most common mineral deficiency. I'll see you in the next video.
About 10 years ago, I was feeling extremely fatigued and had other symptoms as well. I just felt awful. I finally talked myself into seeing a doctor. I was hesitant because I had already developed a negative view of the medical community by that time. After telling the doctor of my symptoms, she proceeded to prescribe me Zoloft. I was LIVID!!!! I was NOT depressed....I knew there was a root cause to how I was feeling. I asked her about tests that could be done to pinpoint whatever was going on. She said no! What a crappy doctor! I got online and found a functional medicine doctor (something I had wanted to do to begin with, but knew my insurance wouldn't cover it). This doctor spent an hour+ with me going over my full history, and then tested my blood for everything you could imagine...hormones, nutrients, etc. Guess what? I was ANEMIC!!! And very low in Vit. D. Those two deficiencies explained ALL of my symptoms. The ignorant first doctor could have easily tested my iron since the first symptom I mentioned to her was extreme fatigue. If I had trusted her, I would have taken a mind-altering DRUG and still would not have addressed my root cause. Shame on her!!!! I also learned (from the functional med doc) that my iron absorption was very low as well. Within ONE WEEK of taking iron (with C) and D3, I felt almost back to normal. We have to advocate for ourselves, even if it means paying out of pocket. Much of the medical community can no longer be trusted!
Time and time again I see this theme. The medical establishment is an overpriced failure.
Paying âout of pocketââŚQuoting my mom here =
âPay for the Dr âs next Cruise or Invest in your Health.â
âYou are investing in your well being never an expenseâ.
That's what they do .just give them a mind drug .
The medical field is all about the easy way out and making money .
@ Sacrad Amen to that.

The second most common deficiency in the world, is Drs who understand the interactive nature of the human body. In Canada, before I abandoned the medical system, the rule for medical appointments was âonly one symptom can be discussed per appointmentâ. If you had more than one symptom, you were quickly labeled a hypochondriac. Thanks to Dr. Berg, there are now 18 million people who are learning how little the legacy medical system knows about wellness. â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
Brilliantly said.
Exactly. Canadian here, so true.
They keep you sick by masking symptoms with big pharma drugs . There's a reason why there is a snake wrapped around a poleđ¤ˇ
SO TRUE!!!
So true in the United States also. When I took mom for her appointment she said while I'm here can you help with something else. He said No just make another appointment. Well my mom is in her 70s and it isn't easy to get her to go to the doctor. So she was just like oh for get it. So ridiculous.
My wife has been diagnosed with arthritis for nearly as long as I have known her. She has scoliosis (pretty severe) and had corrective surgery with bars placed in her back. I guess the doctors just saw scoliosis on her paperwork and decided she had arthritis. We finally got a doctor who did the necessary bloodwork and found out she was severely low in many nutrients. It turns out her body simply doesn't hold onto minerals well at all. We bought her a great vitamin complex that (starting with vitamin D to allow absorption of other minerals) eliminated nearly all of her pain within a month. She sometimes has problems consistently taking it, but it's allowed her to begin considering her health on a larger scale. She has lost 40 lbs since she is now able to exercise and feel something other than pain.
Sorry for the long comment, but vitamin deficiency is a serious problem and MD's do not consider it enough.
You're a brilliant husband (or brilliant wife - apologies if I made an assumption) . It's great that you take so much interest and care in her health. She's blessed to have you as not all partners are so attentive to the other's needs. Wishing you many happy and healthy years together â¤ď¸
Can you share the name of the Vitamin complex she takes? Thank you.

I saw doctors for years for the pain I was in. Excruciating pains throughout my body. I was treated like someone who wanted drugs. Although I never was prescribed it and never asked for painkillers. Finally I found a dr that encouraged me to take iron, vitamin D, and magnesium. I have been for about a year and most of my pain is now gone. If I stop taking vitamins, I will have an even worse flare up of pain. Vitamins. That's all I needed. Doctors who don't believe patients should find a new profession.
They are trained on the medical model not holistically
I started having medical issues in my early 20s. Iâm now 37. I was told time and time again that it was in my head. I was told I was hypochondriac and also that I was mentally ill. This went on for YEARS. I knew something was medically wrong. Every test I got that got me my diagnosis was testing that I personally asked doctors for and I donât believe I would have ever found out what was wrong if I wasnât advocating for myself. I had extremely low ferritin of 2 and low iron of 10. My b12 was also low at 200. I found out after years of fatigue, hair loss, and extreme aches that I had pernicious anemia and iron deficiency anemia caused by autoimmune atrophic gastritis. It caused me to develop SIBO as well from achlorhydria from atrophic gastritis. It isnât fun to live with but Iâm sort of proud of myself for figuring it all out without little help from doctors. I have since been able to find great specialists for my rare conditions with these anemias.
Good for you for staying with it long enough to find out for your body what was wrong. BELIEVE WHAT YOUR BODY IS TELLING YOU!! I knew my Dad, Mom, and Sister had all been tested and treated for allergies. When I decided that I was probably not going to make it for another 5 years I decided to start with an allergist. I lived in a small town but we took the Houston paper, and lo and behold someone did a half page write up, with a picture, in the Sunday section. All I could deduce was that someone thought this Allergist walked on water!! I was able to get in to see Dr Jacob Siegel several months later and after tests found out I was more allergic that the rest of my family put together!! And then a woman I'd met in the allergist's office sent me a tape from a Doc in Birmingham where he speaking at a medical conference on Candida, so I also went to see him also. Both did their own research and published in NE Journal of Medicine and the Lancet. This was before Big Pharma had control of both publications. Dr Truss also published 2 books, The Missing Diagnosis, and The Missing Diagnosis II. I'm 80 now and still have a lot of health problems but I can beat them back with a low carb Rotary Diet. My husband had always told me my migraines were in my head, I told him he was right! lol But I learned to take my allergist's advice to listen to my body, it would tell me when something is wrong.
đ˘đ
I'm sorry you went through this. You deserve better đ.
How are you doing now?
Watch his other video on anemia. He describes what you are but calls it something else. Then gives the remedy for it by naming the exact supplements to take to heal it.
So glad someone finally spoke up about being told, "It's all in your head". Patients hear this way too often.
Medical gaslighting happens ALL THE TIME. I had hypercorticolism caused by an adrenal tumor. I saw over 10 doctors from cardiologists to endocrinologists to naturopaths, acupuncturists, general practitioners . My symptoms were so obviously Cushingâs syndrome but they didnât believe I had any of those symptoms because I wasnât âfat enoughâ. Since I had multiple symptoms I was labeled as a hypochondriac (itâs even in my medical file âhypochondriacâ). Instead of believing me they decided to brush it off as anxiety since I was also diagnosed with anxiety 20 years ago. If anxiety or depression is in your file, they wonât give you the time of day. Anyways, it took 5 years and countless doctors for one of them to finally take me seriously and prescribe the right tests and imaging and BOOM there it was. A cortisol producing tumor that was slowly killing me. Moral of the story: I donât trust âexpertsâ or the medical system anymore.
Glad you're o.k. now, but yeah, don't trust any doctors.
Im scared i have something similar. I beg for a screen or picture but they say they see no need in it. Physical exams today wont ever show you whats inside. People are dying from doctors who wont take them seriously, in my cause cause im "young".
My bf has cushing's syndrome. We figured it out just last year. He's always had a host of problems, which didn't "pin down" easily. Until we happened to look up cushing's syndrome. Perfect match of symptoms all the way down the list.
Hypochondriacs are people who read about symptoms, and then imagine they have those symptoms. But many MANY people are simply trying to figure out what matches existing symptoms so they can hopefully fix it. And usually are very frustrated because they can't find a solid match in symptoms. There's a big difference.
@@kathrynck itâs a horrible disease and for some people it can take a very long time to get diagnosed because medical professionals are unable to think critically. For some reason men are also diagnosed sooner than women. Perhaps theyâre taken more seriously when it comes to medical diagnosis. Glad he figured it out. Itâs so hard to live with and recovery isnât a walk in the park either. Iâm still suffering 2.5 years after this surgery from the effects of adrenal insufficiency and electrolyte imbalance and POTS.
@@MABO07 Agree on the doctors. Between some doctors being "holier than thou" in mentality, and the medical industry itself being outright ghoulish, I'm just about done with modern medicine.
Glad you got the tumor taken care of though!

Yay a great man for sure
I felt extreme fatigue, had nightmares, felt sensations of falling and nausea. I went to the doctors and my doctor said it may be anxiety and gave me medication. I researched into Iron deficiency and had a feeling it could be this. I decided I would not take the medication and would instead take Iron supplements. In the process of this I asked my doctor for a blood test for Iron and vitamins. Somehow they forgot to check the Iron but after nearly 1 month of taking Iron supplements I am feeling much better. Thank you for this video. It helps so much
My friend has an allergy to iron and canât take tablets or infusions. She takes black strap molasses instead and it works as she has blood tests all the time. Side effect was that her periods are no longer painful
I am 70 years of age. My mother use to line us up weekly for a spoonful of Black Strap Molasses, which she learned from her mother. Back then, people relied more on Mother nature and herbs than prescriptions.
â@@lightgiver7311Mothers were our doctors, passed on generation to generation. It needs to be brought back.
Molasses gets rid of gret hair too when taken daily sue to the coller content. One tablespoon daily in yogurt or cereal or plain if u can handle it
I went to a doctor in Michigan for a prostate problem. That doctor totally ignored my prostate problem and prescribed an aspirin a day for high blood pressure. That doctor did absolutely nothing for my prostrate problem. I found out later with my own research that men with prostrate problems are deficient in zinc. With more research I found out that green peas have a lot of zinc in them , so I eat a lot of green peas now and take a zinc supplement and that has eased my prostate problem GREATLY. The allopathic poison drug pushing doctor that wanted me to take too much aspirin DID NOT TELL ME ABOUT THAT. In medical school for the most part they donât teach doctors about nutrition. Good food is actually medicine , and prescription meds are actually poison in my estimation.
Our son was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. We were trying to ease his symptoms by following a specific diet. One day I was working with a general oncologist and asked him if there're any suggestions he would give me. He said they had only one 30 minute lecture on nutrition, but spent months discussing drugs. Here's your answer, your Dr has no clue of how to help you naturally. Plus, pharmacy companies pay his wage.
Also start taking milled Flaxseed/Linseed. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer 11 years ago now and has not had to have treatment yet. It was recommended by the Cancer Nurse. His hormone levels have slowly risen over the years but to the level where he needs treatment.
My husband is taking it too. it's also got the most non soluble fibre of any grain, and the best source of all the Omega Oils, 3,6,9. Something else to get checked out is your selenium levels as most of the world tends to be deficient in that too. It works well in combination with Zinc and Magnesium. It also lowers the bad Cholesterol and raises the good Cholesterol so it is definitely something worth adding to you diet. No more than one ounce per day though. I just pop it into a large glass of water, stir it around and knock it back. Tastes a little bit nutty.
The reason for taking no more than one ounce is that it contains cyanogenic glycosides and if you were to take more than this, we're taking 2 ounces or more, it will bind in the body with water and make cyanide. Which would not be safe.
Anything can be dangerous, it just depends on the dosage.
A couple of bananas gives you all the potassium that you need as well. I hate them and have to get it from other veg.
Also Aspirin doesn't lower high blood pressure. It can be helpful for older people in stopping heart attacks but, it has more risks than benefit if taken in higher doses. It's banned for children in the UK and not recommended for anyone unless as a mild blood thinner for older people to help prevent heart attacks.
Diet and nutrition prevent far more than a lot of medicines can fix.
@robertcross7571 that makes me very glad that I live in Ireland where we have small farms and our locally grown veg. I know which farm my beef comes from, and it's always grass fed and they're out all year round.
We still mostly eat seasonally and it's lovely, as you get to look forward to things coming into season. Also they still practise crop rotation here so that there is no need to be pumping man made fertilisers into the ground.
It might be a more antiquated of fashioned type place but our fruit and veg is nutritious and our meat raised in a humane manner, have good lives and are slaughtered locally so as to cause them the least stress possible.
I hate bananas personally but get my potassium from other sources.
I also do not microwave things as much as possible, as they've proven that this destroys nutrients in the food as well.
Industrial farming is helping to destroy our world.
But please do take in the information about the Flaxseed/Linseed and please do your own research which will confirm this as well.
@robertcross7571 I was just explaining that to my Dad When he was a kid fruits and vegetables were so much more nutritious than they are today. Depletion of the minerals, microbes/ beneficial bacteria has been killed off by the use of chemical fertilizers pesticides and other poisons. Genetically modified products are inherently less flavorful less sweet and less nutritious
It really gets down to the reality to be your own doctor
With access to the internet as videos such as Dr. Berg's
It self education,a never ending journey. Mainstream medicine doctors and medical"plans" are all weaponized platforms to extract money
I started learning natural medicine in my teens. Now in my 60's I still learn
I simply do not go to doctors....only once to a naturopath
I've heard this from every doctor in the last few years: "You ARE getting older..." to explain: apnea, joint pain/arthritis, hearing loss, hair loss, and pretty much every problem I talk to doctors about. I'm 53 years old, exercise 45 min a day walking, 20 lbs over weight, and otherwise in good health. They might be right, but they are also 100% consistently trying to shut down conversations by explaining away my concerns as "you didn't realize you were getting old".
I've so far avoided CPAP by losing weight and using an oral appliance. Avoided high blood pressure meds by the same measures. And avoided pre-diabetes meds by the same measures. They just want to fill me with products, not manage my health. That's the danger we all face, older or not.
Look into CLA ..It worked for me to lose 30 Lbs.... It Works !!!...And Do a Colon Cleanse...Dr. Natura has a Good One đ
"They just want to fill me with products, not manage my health." You said a mouthful. They get kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies depending on the amount of prescriptions they write.
I went to an overweight doctor, and she desperately wanted to put me on high blood pressure meds. I was just borderline at the time. She never once mentioned anything about my diet or exercise.
Phil 562, you sound like someone visiting UK doctors. They are mostly useless. You are at good place to learn about keeping yourself healthy.
"You are getting older", " you DO have underlying conditions ", and my personal favorite " are you SURE you are not deptessed?".I'm so tired of being told these things -or contradictory things that I'm ready to stop seeing a!! Drs. :(
Thank you SOOOOOOOO MUCH for making this video!!! In 2021 I had almost every symptom you listed and more. I was bedridden. I missed 5 weeks of work. My kids thought I was gonna die. I went to 12 doctors (3 ERâs) and all except one believed me when I said, âit feels like I have a deficiencyâ. One ER doctor said it was anxiety. Of course I disagreed with her. I googled nonstop with my goldfish brain. I found Dr. Esa Soppiâs medical literature on iron deficiency without anemia and it fit me like a glove. I studied it and everything I could about iron and how to treat it. In my case i was having shortness of breath and brain zaps and probably needed an IV. I supplemented heavily (I studied it first) I fixed myself and 4 days later I could walk to the mailbox. 9 days later I could work again. After about 8 months I got my ferritin up to the optimal level of 100 (I test myself now) and my hair started growing like crazy and I feel like I havenât felt in decades. I now have zero trust in western medicine. Itâs sad that so many people probably feel like it did and havenât found the answer. Thank you for making this video!!!
How do you test yourself?
What did u take n how do u test yourself! Thank u
I donât understand your frustration with the ER drâs. I have PCOS, and went one night when a few hours after Iâd been bleeding very, very badly for months and months, and my dr got the results back for an iron, hemoglobin etc test, and said i needed to go the ER to have a blood transfusion. I did go, and I was talking to the ER dr who said âands why do you think the bleeding is causing the anemia?â I wanted to hit this man in the head with a brick⌠He finally got my results back for my iron and all that stuff, and my red blood cell count and said âweâre going to type you right now and call the blood bank. Youâre going to need a few pints of blood tonight!â They gave me two bags of O+, and I began to feel better and started breathing easier after the first bag finished. By the end of the second bag, I didnât feel like I was lifting a 50lb bag of flour when raising my arm to even bring my hand to my face to itch my nose. Iâm glad you were able to fix yourself and get back to your life.
@@insekta1701 Iâm glad you were able to get help. I needed an iron transfusion so bad but getting them to even look at iron was impossible because I wasnât anemic. Look at us now though đ

Dr. Berg, thank you so much. as an fyi, the USA has the highest medical costs in the world, and a life expectancy LOWER than all other industrialized countries.
that alone tells us that there is a problem with the current system.

i lost all respect for the medical system when i watched a 'true story' movie called Lorenzo's Oil (1992 Susan Sarandon & Nick Nolte) - two parents found not just a treatment but a cure for a disease which our entire planet of medical experts couldn't even treat!
i later learned just how criminal the global medical system is - Big Pharma deliberately refuses to research cures and will only treat symptoms, knowing full well that a healed person won't be coming back for more drugs! Big Pharma also 'bought and paid' for not only pollyticians, but also bought big medical institutions, thus modifying the way doctors are trained basically reducing them to legalized drug pushers
further investigation brought me to the sad knowledge that the correct use of correctly prescribed Big Pharma medications outright kills approx 200k Americans every year (more than 5 million globally) and on top of that more than 150k are outright killed by human error in hospital - they do not die from their illness!
the final nail in the coffin, so to speak, was the plannedemic and the shotclot! it seems there is no remedy for such a corrupted system
@@jobob47 Back in the 90's the US healthcare system changed structure from not-for-profit (not to be confused with nonprofit) businesses to corporate, stock trading entities. When MONEY became the focus, it all went downhill and will continue to degrade until a major change, such as a national healthcare system or reverting back to the old ways, is initiated. Until then, it's every man or woman for themselves! And thank goodness Dr Berg is here to help us keep from falling into that medical abyss!!

You have this many subscribers because we trust you more than our own doctors, our doctors are not educating us at all, we have to be an educated patient in order to be able to go in and talk to these people so they can figure out things the right way, because a lot of these doctors cannot put the connection of two and two together, they're specialties and they keep thinking in the box instead of how things are linked.
Gina Ross: They're not trained to think holistically. Look up "functional medicine" with Dr Mark Hymen instead.
As a fellow doctor all I can say is that hearing a professional, that is more experienced than me, denouncing the "its all in your mind" routine used by many of our colleagues and focusing on the importance of a good medical history and differential diagnosis is refreshing. In my opinion, medical gaslighting is a real thing and labelling all symtomps as "mental" dooms the patient to delayed diagnosis and decreased quality of life more times that we can ever imagine.
What makes a good doctor, first and above everything else (even adequate knowledge), is caring about the patient. A non-diligent doctor is more dangerous than a medically uneducated one that cares. At least the last one will seek a more experienced doctors help or revisit his books and recap his knowledge.
Its also nice to see a doctor giving a spotlight to nutrition habits/ alimentation as they indeed affect human physiology in many ways and not all physicians consider them as factors that are influential to disease or are even trained to recognize and treat them.

Thank you Dr. Berg, you have exactly described what happened to me. I was misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia for years, suffered terrible muscle pains and a myriad of other symptoms, which all turned out to be corrected with a $7 bottle of iron supplement. I was elated but also devastated that so many years had gone by which I essentially lost all quality. I was in my early 30s all the way into my 40s before I received the "diagnosis". For all of those years, my blood count showed that I was just inside of the Normal range, and I asked every doctor if I should be concerned about that, and they all say, "no, you are find, you are within range." What I've learned from all of this is that my "normal" is nowhere near the bottom of the range. The pain was unbelievable. Hair loss, restless legs, smooth tongue, chronic chapped lips, etc. Had it all. Very sad. Now I'm in my 60s and am finally feeling better than in my whole life. I, for one, have become very dissolutioned with the intention of doctors, who have been financially incentivised to dish out these 'vaccines', and will find it extremely hard to go to mine, at any time soon because of my lack of faith in their capability to actually work for the people who pay them i.e. the public (which makes me wonder whether they really are educated on the subject of human health) or in reality, do they actually work for the recently exposed, financially motivated pharmaceutical industry.
