Rick killed a bunch of Ricks, went on to help create the Citadel, then in season one when a bunch of Ricks were getting killed again (this time by evil morty and his remote controlled Rick robot) the council of Ricks assumed it was C-137 on a Rick murder spree again.
I think the thing about his backstory everyone doesnt understand is that rick never said the whole thing was fake. What was fake was the minute they died he went after them. He technically did make up everything after the explosion so it was a half truth half fabrication to hide how he made the portal gun.

Well if you want to take entirely fabricated story to mean the whole thing was a lie, then we'd also have to say his name is not really Rick, and Beth isn't really his daughter and her mother never died and there were no other Ricks, who also couldn't be other Ricks since he's not a Rick, because we'd be going with the "NOTHING in the story isn't made up".
The best lies are mixed in with a bit of truth.

Every time ‘Evil’ Morty showed up the show took a dramatic turn and I love it.

I love how Meta they were about Cannon and audiences wanting a back story.
After episode 9, I had to check to make sure I didn't accidentally watch episode 10 first. It really did feel like a finale ending lol
to make matters wose Spectrum (TimeWarner) DVR reversed the episode #s for the first broadcast of the 2 episodes, I had same experience compounded by the fact that they were mislabeled......felt like a finale and mine said S5 E10 even though it was the 1st of the 2 i recorded SMH

As far as I can understand and guess, the Ricks who stayed with their Diane and Beth ends up losing them(assuming it's to the Rick who came and provided them the portal technology, but we don't SEE who murders them and why)when someone drops a bomb, vaporizing them, while the ones who abandon their families travel through the multiverse, making openings for Rick's to return, meet Morty's and reintegrate themselves with their families(Beth's, Jerry's, Summer's and Morty's)since, in the realities where Rick stays("Pass."), Morty is never born.
First season, Evil Morty, in his first appearance(through the controlled/"Evil Rick")had captured our Rick and was scanning his brain until our Morty lead the uprising of other captured Morty's. Evil Morty was using the captured Morty's, torturing them to make a field to cloak their activities from other Rick's and had framed our Rick. He exonerated himself by the end, but that was where Evil/Free Morty integrated himself with the Morty population of the citadel, and that was his main appearance until he went into the presidential running in "Ricklantis Mixup".
Rick's lie to the agent in the "szechuan sauce"episode was that he immediately went to find a different version of Beth and Diane after his versions of his family died. He went off to seek revenge and didn't return to find a different Beth until after Diane died.
I know that a lot of people might not agree, but I think this is the last we will see of Evil/Free Morty and I think that is a great ending for his character. I believe the Story Train episode hinted at it with their "final battle"scene, that it wasn't going to occur. Free Morty is now released from the influence of every Rick and, because of this, he can travel worlds that they no longer have any control of or influence through their "adventures", wandering the cosmos. He no longer has anything to do with our Rick and Morty.
I always get chills as the Evil Morty theme begins to play as the rocket is loaded and the "launch"drops the beat and the "lyrics".
I actually almost cried during the last few season finales...
The next season will come out around the same time season 5 aired. They will be yearly from now on, the long wait in-between the first few seasons had to do with animation issues behind the scenes and then they took a little bit of extra time after season 3 to make sure they never have to wait like this again.
What happened in the episode they called back was when Evil Rick scanned Rick's mind, on the first citadel episode.
I thought they meant episode with satan. Is it because the first episode is considered a pilot? Is lawnmawer dog the first first episode?

It’s only going to be a year till the next season. They’ve finished the writing for Season 6 way back and are working on Season 7 now, and S6 is coming next year.
After season 3 adult swim ordered 70 episodes of rick and morty and to date they only done 20 episodes meaning season 6 will likely be out next year the reason there were big gaps between seasons 1,2 and 3 was because they were never sure that the show would be picked back up now they have to produce at 50 more episodes meaning that there is no slow down and writing and producing episodes

Not really, the pilot counts as episode 0 for many broadcasters.
They didnt mess up. They dont count the pilot anymore, since it messes up some of the canon and does not represent the essence of the show anymore. So its counted as episode 0 from now on.

This season was fire, yeah it had bad episode but people are really hating on it before the finale i dont agree with that, and now that its concluded i just have to say what a masterpiece of a finale. Evil Morty Not Only Brought Down the C-Dimension Multiverse which Rick C137 controlled but it was a Safety Net to Keep Outsiders out.
There will be AT LEAST 50 more episodes, which means this show will air for 5 more seasons at the minimum.

Anna, have you ever considered Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon's other show, Solar Opposites? A lot of fans consider it as good, if not better than Rick & Morty. It would definitely guarantee more traffic to your site. Later this year, just before the airing of the third season, they plan to air a holiday special. At any rate, thanks for the work you've put into these reactions. There are a lot of people doing them now, but most of them just aren't that good at it. Thanks and keep up the good work!

This season's finale was epic and the way they adapted Morty's evil music was great, epic. This epic symphonic version hints at the zenith of evil morty, great and epic at its finest. They exaggerated this episode, it's too good.

Evil Morty jumped into a universe which rick cant follow and in which rick dosnt even exist
this is not true. theres x amount of universes in the multiverse where they exist, where rick ensured every universe where he was king was in its own bubble multiverse, unable to interact with the rest of the universes. Evil morty used a blackhole and some scifi shit to leave that bubble and be free in those other universes, with no connection to the rickverses. (It seems the black hole remains open at the end) if the blackhole were to close, each multiverse bubble would go back to being unable to interact with eachother
its not stated that version of rick dont exist out there, they are just the versions of rick that ARENT the smartest person in the universe, universes where hes normal, or missing chromosomes, etc etc. If the blackhole remains open, Rick could easily follow and evil morty could easily come back.

@@lordtouchme6210 ??? when we come back to season 6 the black hole will most definitely be closed and we will continue with the regular show. the reason the portal is yellow is because it is connected to a completely different multiverse. its the same technology, its not a different portal gun or fluid. ricks multiverse is green, and the rest of the known multiverse is yellow. the bubbles being destroyed is only from evil morties perspective now that he is outside of that. dont forget the citadel was destroyed once before, and this never shattered the barrier between multiverses. the barrier still exists, the whole reason morty had to make a black hole to cross dimensions and not just warp out is because he needed to physically leave this multiverse, he cant just xd blow up the citedal. i literally am astonished that you truly think the green portals wont exist anymore. green = rickverse, yellow = rest of the known multiverse. black holes / wormholes are portals. its not that complex tbh

@@lordtouchme6210 hey man if you look at your original comment you said evil morty just left to a universe that ricks cant go to, which even by your own later elaboration is wrong, i dont go trying to tell people what to think, but when people do it while also being wrong then thats just lame. i will say it only 1 more time, there once was a multiverse, then ricks backstory happened and he isolated all the universes where rick was king, and kept those isolated from the rest of the multiverse. there was no connection between any reality in ricks multiverse and the rest of the multiverse, until evil morty made one to cross between them. he then uses his portal technology to explore all the universes in that multiverse, signified by their yellow doorways, instead of green in our multiverse. watch it again with this in mind if you dont believe me
