It's my second favorite game of the year so far.
Stellar blade is a good game. The fighting is good, the story is good, the characters are likeable, the music is beautiful and the even better news is that they are making a 2nd game

Well it wasn’t just a copy and paste so I think it should get some recognition. You can tell how much I enjoyed it with my outros.
I won’t lie I think any story nowaday’s is gonna be predictable literally everything has been done from years to now so to me every story in anything no matter what kind of game, TV show, movie, book it is the story within it is going to pretty much go how you expect it to play out, regardless the most important thing to a video game is the gameplay and it delivers on that front if a second game is made then I’m sure they will fine tune the gameplay and tighten it up a bit and maybe even give Eve more to her move set.

I played it and enjoyed the ride. I'll definitely be waiting for the sequel because so much happens even before the main game.

It was. I’m not mad about that. Just that one thing held it back for me is all.
IMHO the story, albeit a bit predictable if you spend any time reading the data entries, is way better than I expected and actually has some existential depth to it.
That’s another good point I should’ve mentioned. I DID read the says entries. They did help but at the same time they made me form my guesses about a few things that ended up happening.

I have over 200 hours on the game.
Its an amazing game and it's especially worth it for the full price. Remove all the women and the game would still be the same.
Any negative reviews are from americans crying about a great game having fleshed out characters.
Not to mention the story is good too. I don't understand how people say its "generic".
The swimming is a bit clunky and the eng dub is a bit bad. But since i knew korean, I didn't have any problem.
The story isn’t bad, I’m just saying it could’ve been handled better. But that’s just my opinion. I enjoyed it though.

Wholeheartedly agree, stellar blade does everything well apart from the main story which is generic (wouldn’t get past an 8 from me for that reason)
Stellar blade is more than worth the full price, if theres any reason not to get it its because of the classic playstation bias censorship.
After playing the demo a bit, I quickly determine it was definitely NOT worth full price. Decided I'd wait until it either hit PS Plus or maybe buy on a discount for no more than $20.

@1:34 So, I've come to the conclusion that this generation doesn't give a damn about games that don't tell a story with cut scene after cut scene after cut scene. People just don't read, they skip the dead bodies, they don't read anything from the information broker, they just buy, skip the reading, and get the outfits to look hot. They interact with posters, see long text, and skip it. There is a library in the game that talks about world building/lore. No one cares. I bet no one bothered to read the description of all the outfits, gear, etc
What's even more sad is game journalist (people who are paid to investigate stuff and inform) disses the story and doesn't give it the respect it deserves.
Ok guys, spoiler alert (probably even if you beat the game 3 times over). I'm going list a few things that happens in the story. If you didn't know any of this, now you do

1 - Adam Made Mother Sphere. Did you know they were friends and stood together side by side? This was before the first war, before they had their differences.
2 - Mother Shere had the power to choose who gets to go to the colony, and who doesn't. image being the one who doesn't get chosen.
3 - Mother sphere kills some of the citizens she rescues by launching them back into the atmosphere. It was basically humans inside a metal tin can melting in the atmosphere and crashing on earth. This was similar to a meteor hitting the earth causing a huge population drop. Imagine the world exploding. This was also calculated btw.
4: Xions people are separated between those who believe Mother Sphere to be a God vs those who believe she is a false God.
5 - Imagine an AI comes to power and decides to kill you all (organic real humans) because you're too weak. Lovely.
6 - Mother Sphere erased peoples memories and gave them the Doctrine for the survival of mankind.
7 - She's a F*cking monster
8 - Adam Made the Natibas - failure, his goal is to bring back organic humans and/or evolve them. Adam & Eve is the final product (Start fusion dance).
9 - Mother Sphere's goal is the capture of Adam. Although this failed, the Eve protocol was also about bringing about a powerful being, hence why she says "this concludes the eve protocol"
10 - We can assume that there should still be some remaining Angels on earth besides Raven and Eve, they have not been revealed. Or in other words, special angels. Raven has killed some of them... or maybe she killed them all, hard to say.
11 - Imagine Raven having "eve protocol" on her uniform when she wants to be the chosen one. That's just a spit on the face.
12 - Eve is the only angel who can absorb beta cores. For lore, it's the Natiba's blood that charges it.
13 - Did you know Adam attempted a fusion with that old man oracle as an experiment, but it failed (Of course he can't fuse with a dude, get angry hahaha)?
14 - A little bit about Raven. 100% she was in love with Adam, but he used her, manipulated her to do anything to accomplish his goal of saving mankind and create the ultimate human and this left her in the state she is in now... a crazy bi*ch. Source - try reading the lore in game but there are clues. Adam chooses not to fuse with Raven due to her state of mind. It would be bad to have someone like Raven to lead the fight against Mother Sphere.
I'll stop here.
Look..... I get it. One could say it's the developer's fault for not portraying the story in a good way. He himself however said he doesn't like telling stories in a cinematic way though hordes of cutscenes and he never plans to. We can expect Stellar Blade 2 to be the same way. But the story is there, it's very good, and I hope they make an anime for this someday so everyone actually knows what's going on.
@2:30 it didn't fail the difficulty part. You're just too good. People have a bad habit of using themselves as a bases on what's hard or not. Try watching a few streams. I especially love watching Mirya's streams. Despite how hard of a time she has, she refuses to switch to story mode and keeps trying.
Besides, just go to boss rush and put it on minimum. Good luck and I hope they give outfit rewards for those who manage to do this, the reward being the sexiest outfits available.
