Not really, italian teams has always been defensive and way more focused on not conceding goals rather than score. Gasperini's Atalanta can be dangerous at attacking but at the same time can be very poor at defending. Their game style is focused on the attacking half of the team, from the midfield onwards, their defending line is forward oriented but skillful teams can escape from that and easily create clear chances all of a sudden. It takes a very strong tactical discipline, and yes I consider that typical italian, but their way of playing is far from what an average italian team would be.
