    Just a heads up, tackit works with glitter that isnt holographic too. You just dont get the laser effect. But for those who struggle to get a smooth coat give it a try! It works wonders yall

      And if you don’t like how thick epoxy makes a tumbler, tack it method helps get a smooth coat without a lot of resin layers.

    Your videos are so informative! I really appreciate you taking the time to show us! Just curious--why does the glitter have to be holographic? What's the difference? (Sorry, I didn't know there were so many glitters!! Recently divorced and finalllllly able to do what I want to do...craft!)

    It doesn't have to be holographic if you use the metallic you will have a metallic shine like mirror.

    What color is the holographic glitter on the wine tumbler you use as an example in the beginning of the video against the green tumbler? It looks pinkish

    Instead of epoxy after this procedure can you just clear spray it? Then add decals? TFS

      If you don’t want the tumbler to have a permanent coating, then sure you could do that

    Love your vids they are so helpful!! To do the holographic glitter can you use a different kind of glue?? I can’t get the Tack it brand without ordering. any help would be appreciated

    I tried the tack it method today and my glitter wouldn't burnish off the tumbler...just in spots here and ther...is there any way I can fix that?

      Hey there. Maybe use a paper towel to get a better grip on the cup

    Since you didn't paint green its very light green. Could you do another round of tackit and then that layer going over green would be darker??

      It would be more full. But not darker. You could try another green. Maybe a darker shade to darken it up

    Amazing tutorial! I am a nail tech and would like to start offering these! I’ve seen so many videos where they say that epoxy is dangerous and should be done with a special mask. Is that true? Or would I be able to do it inside my house? Thank you in advance for your reply!

      I only saw one person using a face mask while doing epoxy.

      Please be safe using epoxy. There a video here on CZcams of a lady talking about the health issues she has now from using it. Id definitely set up an outside station and wear gloves and mask

      epoxy has chemicals that when mixed can leave long term effects on you, it wouldn't be right away but it's best to use it outside or in an extremely well ventilated room with mask and maybe even gloves

    very nice tutorial, I do have a question about drinking out of cup that has epoxy on the outside. I know some say FDA approved but for "incidental contact only" so how safe is this to drink out of?

      FDA approved. If you or your customers are concerned, always use a straw.

      I believe you have to use tack it. Once tack it dries, it’s sticky, once mod podge dries. It’s dried. Therefore, adding glitter, won’t stick to the dries mod podge

      I would to have a more rough surface rather than just the stainless steel. The epoxy doesn’t like to stick to stainless steel.

    What brand of epoxy do you use. If you do get a white spot what do you do.

      Check out my description for the epoxy. If I get a white spot or uneven spot in my epoxy. I sand then epoxy

      You will be able to feel the glitter but it should not be lumpy or bumpy

    Hey!!! I asked this question on another video.... but I don’t think you saw it. In the video you said you were using a matte white... but it was semi gloss. Does semi gloss work as well with tumblers? I used flat and it didn’t stick AT ALL.... ran all over. I have found semi gloss and today I found some ultra matte. I’m having a hard time find just matte.

      It doesn't have to be holographic. This will make any type of glitter stick to a tumbler. Holographic just has the coolest effect, with the rainbow.

    Hi, I have tried the tack it method however my glitter rubs off while I am applying the epoxy. I have used 3 thin layers of dried tack it prior to adding holographic gold glitter by Horizon group. I also sprayed my glass vase with Rust-oleum White Spray Flat Paint & Primer in One. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong please? Thank you!

      I recommend using epoxy afterwards. This keeps tour design from coming off the tumbler.

      96ochs it works with Mod Podge. I saw a girl do a video. Search tack it method mod podge. There are a ton of ways to do this method.
