    I cried at this one. Cut the number of kids and the protectiveness and involvement from the dad in half and I grew up like the oldest girl. Seeing the dad actually apologize to his daughter made me break down. I'm so happy that these girls didn't grow up afraid of their dad because somebody taught him how to actually talk to them because that's one thing I never got. I have essentially no relationship with my dad, even though we still live under the same roof. Thank you Jo for doing the things you do.

    Hearing the father cry and choke up with so much emotions, so much love for his children, made me emotional. My relationship with my own dad was on the rocks for nearly 10 years. And while I love him deeply I know we'll never be able to heal fully from what happened with us. Dads, please, protect your babies and love them unconditionally. You have no idea how meaningful and impactful your affection is to them.

    I'm happy that the father learned to give his daughter the freedom she deserves and let go. I'm 16 and I still can't go to the mall or park with my friends without my mom's presence and that's just embarrassing.

      With my sis we stand up strong on this. My dad wasn't ok, my mom took her fears under control and eventually let us while he was out lol. We kept asking, and asking, and reminding dad that we were beginning to be old enough to *insert rando thing you do alone as grown up* (biking, going out with friends, leaving for university...)

      I know this isn’t ideal maybe she’d give you more freedom if you let her see your location maybe worth trying but at 16 you should have some freedom maybe talk to her and explain why you should be able to hang out with your friends by yourself. Maybe start off with inside their house for an hour.

      My mom held on until I was turning 19, when I was 18 she knew she couldn't order me but she would stay awake all night waiting for me to come home. She did eventually go to get help for her anxiety of letting go and started being able to sleep with us gone, she knows I call her if there's anything wrong.

    I love watching this show, it taught me how to properly discipline to children and it worked awhile I was working full time at children’s daycare centre. Even the employees wanted me to teach them how to discipline the children properly without being so angry or shouting at the children. Lol

      What got me was, having been home all day and apparently not doing any housework or cooking, she then decided AT DINNERTIME to print out pictures for the kids to colour. She had ALL DAY to do this when the kids would have been at school, but she decides to do it when dad wants to serve dinner.
      Mum seems to be one of the biggest problems in this family.

    I watched this before I had kids, and it’s a whole new experience now. I find myself relating to many of the parents. But my favorite parts are when I can say “at least my kids aren’t that bad” 😂

    I just saw some shocking news about the Miller’s eldest daughter Kesley... Unfortunately, she passed away sometime in 2018! Which would have made her 20 to 21 years of age. How terribly sad for this family! My sincerest condolences on your beautiful daughter’s passing.

    These kids abound with energy. Some time out of doors would tire them out and calm them down. Of course they still need some firm discipline.
