I love this version even more than the original. And I loved it then! Twila is in the top tier of Christian songwriters of the past 30 years. I'd place her in the same company as Keith Green, Michael Card, Rich Mullins, and Margaret Becker without batting an eye. Writers know she never got the respect she deserved because of the cookie-cutter production of her '80s albums. But the songs are SO powerful out from under all that filler. Also, I've met her, and she's just a great lady.
Hello y’all I’m James, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 34. I’ve been fighting it every day since. Due to that I have several vertebrae out of place. Needless I’m in constant chronic pain I’ve had 3 brain surgeries to place Deep Brain Stimulation. It has helped , but after 3rd surgery. I became immune to any RX pain medication as well as otc. Needless to say I’m in constant pain. Nothing can be done to alleviate the pain due to my tremors. My pelvis is separating from my hips. Pain is constant with lower back, pelvic area and legs. This song I have taken it as my favorite song. As far as going home and falling on my knees. It’s due to PD. That song resonates so much that I’ve tell ppl to listen to it. That gives them a different perspective on when they say I look stronger and appear to have nothing hurting or bothering me. I am so grateful for the lyrics of this song. And appreciative of Ms. Paris singing it.
Our adult daughter had something happen yesterday that left her devastated. This song came on my Pandora station and I knew she needed to hear it.
these was revived by one of the famous singer in philippines..and this song strucked me so much the first time i listened to it. i felt that my life was too strong that noone noticed how i am so weak deep inside that all i can count on is GOD... the world is too much. but i can face its music because i trust HIM. as what i have watched with other videos.everything is so amazing yet nobody is happy. which is really true.... happiness is the LORD.with God in you...you will feel content and happy
One more thing about Twila's name recognition (or lack thereof). She may not have gotten the same success in selling albums as some other big names but what she lacks in record sales she makes up in prominence in hymnals.
Poor blessed Twila...I can t imagine the pain she goes thru,her insecurities and fears must be many...the source of this beautiful music.
I saw Twila open for Leon Patlla in 1985 in Lancaster, PA. She was brand new and pretty much unheard of. When she was done, she was called back for 2 curtains calls! We were having church and didn’t want it to end, neither did Leon! Still one of the the best concerts (I use that term loosely now) I’ve ever attended.
There just aren't many Christian artists to compare with Twila. Blessings just pour out of my stereo speakers, computer speakers, car speakers....doesn't matter..lol....when I listen to this anointed music. She's simply one of the best. What an incredible concert video!
I remember this song from 30 years ago - it still brings tears. Recently part of the body of Christ has needed much encouragement and I've looked for the sheet music everywhere so it could be performed to lift them up. Still looking...

This song reminds me everyday that even though I'm an adult on earth, I'm still a child in the eyes of our Lord and saviour. He begs us to come to HIM with every problem we have - big or small. I love you Lord!! Thank you for allowing me to live freely and without fear whenever and wherever I want to worship.
The warrior in us will always remain a child. We have our own battles in life, but God is the Commander of the Army and all we have to do is to get back to Him, refresh and return, and show the world what God's warriors are made of.

I am crying right now!! I just love listening to these songs...especially now I am in the middle of a deadly disease...I know HE will always be my strength. HE is the only one who can and will save me and give me life...I WILL TRUST YOU LORD...
I've loved this song since I first heard it 20 years ago. My mother passed away a few months ago and I had not been able to shed a single tear until I listened to this. I posted it on facebook and it also brought comfort to other women who have lost thier mothers. It really hit a spot with me about having to be the new matriarch of the family yet while dealing with my own loss. Thank you Twila.
I forgot all about this song until I came across it tonight. I would sing this song so many times during my marriage and raising the beautiful daughters the Lord blessed me with. THANK YOU LORD! I remember! Praise His Name!
