- I try to read A Christmas Carol once a year. It's a brilliant tale and I think it would be a great tonic for anyone feeling a bit low after the year we've had. It's a message of hope and redemption, beautifully written by Dickens at the height of his powers.
This was one of the first books I recorded in my studio at home back in 2011. I love it. I cannot recommend it enough. Maybe pour a whisky or have a mug of cocoa!

I listen to this, go out to the theater with loved ones & watch the play, & stay up way to late watching the vintage black & white movie adaptations-my perfect holiday season!! Great idea! I can only do one at a time. But maybe over the Christmas holidays it makes sense to do that one. I certainly think it's a great work and should (yes, should) be heard by everyone at least once! (And I moan about tyrants and tyranny! - hypocrite!!!). And quite nice to just leave it one when you get sick to death of Perry Como or Lady Gaga.
