  • Debbie is diagnosed with Williams syndrome, a condition known to result in a happy personality. Bullied by her peers for years, she found a group of people who accepted her differences at church.
    After realizing she is gay, Debbie suppressed her true self to please others. Today she is proud of her true identity and wants others to know “This is who I am and that is it.”

      I was Christian and converted to Atheist recently because I'm homosexual, and what the Bible says pisses me off, so do Judgmental Christians, and they say homosexuals go to hell. I don't think of any women sexually at all (believe me, I tried converting but it doesn't work that way)I hate myself for being this way even though I know it isn't my fault. I recently tried to kill myself because of this kid in school that makes fun of me constantly because of how I act, I'd assume. My mom said if I was gay she'd be sad. I've been binging SBSK vids and as this is one of the few videos where I can say it; it has made me reflect upon my past behaviour surrounding people with conditions. I am a naturally awkward person and interacting with people I don't quite understand is very difficult for me. These videos have taught me that it is okay to be awkward in those situations as long as I keep an open mind and make an effort. Something to keep in mind when I interact with anyone in the future, just say hi and listen, if I don't know what boundaries to make, just ask them. Better to try and ask then just look the other way. Thank you, Chris, and thanks to all the people who've shared their story through SBSK. Perhaps I should also try to be more foreward about my ADHD in the future so that other people can also understand me better. Just thanks!
    Ps. Debby, if you're reading this; you have a great smile C:

      FleurTheFairy sorry Hun, but you're safely mistaken.
      Read the Bible.

    • @FleurTheFairy
      @FleurTheFairy Před 6 lety

      The one part of the Bible about homosexuality:
      - Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
      Bible verses about judgement: (Just a few examples)
      - Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
      - Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.
      - You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
      Bible verses about love: (Again just a few examples)
      - No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
      - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
      - And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
      So yes according to the Bible God is for everyone, he loves everyone, and clearly Debbie is an excellent example of a person who knows God, and loves because of it.
