Not gonna deny that all of this is possible because he's the mc but still they still managed to keep his development more realistic/well moderated than most other shonen (who just end up becoming op & winning with only will power lmao) at least they stress on how difficult & impossible it is for him to do it on his own even with all the power boosts he gets through the fights & I find it way better this way!

Just saying: At the start of the anime/manga, Tanjiro basically risked his life to "defeat" lower moon five, Rui. But in Manga chapter 140, it is seen that Tanjiro just one-shots a demon and killing even more with Giyuu, which Himejima later in the same chapter in the manga commented that the demons in the Infinity Fortress are designed to have the strength of a lower moon. Goes to show how much Tanjiro has grown.
Zestoh_Coffee_ ye they really put a lot of emphasis on tanjirou just training, then getting beat then trying again so his strength doesn’t look like an asspull when he starts to reach hashira level. IMO tanjirou is stronger than all the hashira except himejima with his see through all technique, mark boost, and his new dance of the fire god abilities

Sanemi is strong enough to trade blows with UM1 and be complimented by him and Muichiro is still the only Hashira to take out an UM by himself. On top of that, Muichiro can also use the See Through technique and the mark. Tanjiro is nowhere near as strong
polygon Nah cuz he has the strongest breathing technique that even scared muzan and when the dance of the fire god was used on UM1 by A FRAIL OLD DYING GEEZER he would have died if one more breath was taken. Sooooo I’m pretty sure tanjirou is more physically capable than an old ass man and would no diff UM1, Sanemi or muichiro. Plus muichiro faced a pretty weak upper moon compared to UM1 2 or 3 and sanemi’s weird blood ability that gives him the edge on demons wouldn’t work on tanjirou if they were to fight and barley even affects top level demons
@@polygon2745 Tanjiro is stronger than Muichirou. Muichirou took out UM5 while Tanjiro took out UM3. Akaza even says it himself that Tanjiro surpassed him in speed.

While I do think Tanjiro gets the protagonist treatment of excelling quicker than other characters, I think it's also worth noting that the series does progress over a much longer period of time that what we perceive as readers. Cannonly, Tanjiro has been stated to have spent at least 85 days (just shy of three months) dedicated to training or battles throughout the course of the series. He also spent 4 months training after Rongoku's death (totallying at about 7 months). And that doesn't include the unstated/undetermined time it took for him to complete all this other jobs OR the two months he spent unconscious after fighting upper moon six. So I believe it's likely that the events from chapter 5 to current all take place over the course of a year. Add that to the two years he spent at the beginning of the series and he has cannonly spent about 3 years training (if not more with all the undetermined time spend in between). His growth is still extremely rapid (I'm assuming at least) in comparison to the Harashia, but I find it really interesting to observe just how much time Tanjiro really has dedicated to getting better. If anything I think that makes his character more impressive.

@@jessiel.2237 Zenitsu isn't OP. His senior isn't a full UM, he has too less time to master new techniques and doesn't know how to use his power effectively. Didn't Yushiro said Zenitsu is lucky because that demon is weak? If Kaigaku became an UM in 1 year, Zenitsu would be dead. A human who just becomes a demon can't be compared with demons who lived more than 100 years and killed more than 10 Hashiras, he is weaker than Daki, which means his power isn't called an UM. Muzan just lost too many UMs and now he want to have some replacements, you have to know none of the replacements is as strong as the old UMs. Time to master something is important and it will decide every character's power. Before Hashira become stronger, thay have a long time practice their skills since they first killed a LM, same with Kaigaku, that's why he isn't a true UM, he should be as strong as a LM or stronger than that a little, to be fair, Zenitsu's just as strong as Inosuke, still weaker than Tanjirou, Kanao and every Hashiras.
That isn't something we should call "OP". While Tanjirou will have more developments in the final fights, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Kanao, Genya and the remaining Hashiras will not have any change in power, we're in the Final arc now.

This all just makes me wonder how strong Gyomei is now, I mean he's already the strongest pillar but now he's even able to utilize the see through world plus he's sort of an anomaly since he unlocked the demon slayer mark after the age of 25. Im just hoping him actually unlocking the mark after the age of 25 dosent backfire and start shortening his life span dramatically or something but as we've seen the mangaka is not afraid of killing off pillars so I wouldn't be surprised.

The reason Tanjiro called out to him is because his a nice and honorable person so he wouldn't do a cowardly move by sneaky up behind them and cutting their head off/defeating them that way. Tanjiro will always do his best to stay true to himself no matter who he is facing or confronting.

He's not just powerful in general, he has a powerful heart and people he meets respects him.
Tanjiro's progression in power is a lot better than most anime protagonists out there these days. Most of the time they either start out over powered or bust out plot armor whenever they feel like it. It's nice to see a protagonist this day and age where their power level don't just jump from weakest to strongest without any real training.

That is true that Tanjiro is developing super fast because he’s remembering all the things that both his teammates, Inosuke and Zenitsu, and his father taught him. Tanjiro was able to kill Hantengu because Zenitsu briefly taught Tanjiro how to use the first form of thunder breathing. Tanjiro was able to figure out about akaza’s unique compass technique because of Inosuke and his father. And no, Tanjiro’s dad sickness didn’t stop his dad from doing full focus breathing. Tanjiro’s dad was able to do it from sunrise to sundown during their annual hinokami dance celebration meaning he could to it everyday. During the flash back while fighting Akaza, tanjiro’s Dad was able to detect the man eating bear from miles away before it even reached the juzu beads while he was sleeping. I don’t understand what you’re trying to say about Yorichii because you need to fix your English.

Maybe the brother had a baby with a kamado women and they took the kamado name. It's not just men that continue a bloodline.

The only thing they showed was the sun breath user telling Tanjiros ancestor that he couldnt stay. Like I said what if he became part of the family???? You also mention how he when he fights Akaza again, hes grown stronger. Think of all the training hes gone through, all the demons he fought, and considering he has his activated mark and broken through to the see through world, hes not randomly getting this, hes earned his strength. Akaza was very strong but used his ability to sense battle intent to its full advantage to read moves, but relied heavily on it. Tanjiro uses the see through vision/ state to completely mask himself from Akaza since hes only using battle intent to detect others.

With Tanjiro’s fight with Akaza, Tanjiro calling out to Akaza rather than stealthily decapitating him is probably also a reference to how Akaza hates people who use underhanded methods to hurt others, referring to them as ‘weak’. So having Tanjiro warm him beforehand shows he’s not to be lumped with those murderers from the dojo who poisoned the well, hence eventually gaining Akaza’s respect.
