- Quick Tutorial on how to use the Boss RC-3 Loop Station. This is just for you to learn how to record loops since there is really no manual out there to explain it. Send me an email if you have any questions.
This is the best tutorial video I've come across for the rc-3. Thank you so much for this bro.
Thanks for showing WHAT to do rather than 15 minutes of why you might want to. Very helpful to just get straight into it.
Thank you. I could not figure out how to delete a song until I saw this video. Very helpful!
Best video on description of how to use " tap tempo". Thanks.
Helpful. Straight to the point. It’s late. I’m tired. Thank you very much!!!
Such a great no nonsense guide!
I haven't bought the Boss yet, but this video gives me an idea what I'm in for....not bad at all, in fact very simple to use....
i couldnt figure out how to save it.. hit write twice! thanks man!
Thanks for this. I wasn't looking forward to actually reading that manual with the tiny letters!
Thank you Malcom. I wish I spent more time on this. Like you I was so confused on how to work it. I wish they had given more instruction.
Saved me hours of frustration thanks
This was extremely helpful. Thank you. I had to go through 4 other videos of bullshit before I got to this one, which actually SHOWED you how to record and store your samples. Let this be a lesson to those other so-called "tutorials": Instead of just talking endlessly to hear your own voice, how about you show what the product really does the way this video did? Just saying'...
most helpful for a complete beginner contemplating buying one
Frank, thank you for the informative demo. I'm a electronic bonehead when it comes to these things, but I saw it demo'd at the Winter NAMM in Anaheim, so I got one a couple of years ago. After not understanding the manual, I gave up on it and it sat in the closet. After deciding to almost sell it, I thought I would look for a new demo. When I used the word Tutorial I came upon your video. Now it's in constant use. Thanks again.
THANK YOU THANK YOU.. so I just bought one coz I felt like a guitar and singing is too plain for me now so I wanted to challenge myself with this..AND it will be great help for my harmonies ❤️❤️
Bought this right now.
Your tutorial helped me a lot to make the first steps.
Thank you.
Brilliant beginers tutorial. Well explained in simple terms. Thank you very much.
Thanks much ... cleared up a lot ...
This was very helpful. I have been trying to save a loop.
Very good demo, I just bought one of these today. This will save me some time, thanks for posting.
quite literally the best video ever
Great tutorial. Simple, to the point. Helped me.
Thank you very much you made everything very clear. Take care. Mike.
Thanks for this tutorial - it's basic, but basic is what I need to get started. Very useful.
Thanks 🙂 that was ALOT better than searching for the instruction manual 😄
Very good. I just bought this thing and now I know the basics, and I can figure out the rest. Great job and thank you.
The best tutorial video posted. You made if very fast and very easy. Making wise the simple is not easy.
Hey m very thankful to you for this. M planning to buy RC 3, and I was searching for such simple tutorial and I found this :)
Exactly what i was looking for, thanks.
You could also record WITH drums, for a solid tempo, and then just turn down the rhythm volume (if you don’t want to hear it). : )
That will be very helpful to know because I plan on adding the drums after the rhythm guitar (now that we have a drummer)
Hi Fender Fan. Thank you so much for the nice words. It is a cool little machine isn't it? I use it all the time to test writing music. I love how it just keeps looping and looping so you can try different things.
Very helpful thank you. I am a see and do gal & this got me started. Thanks again.
Thanks a lot for your great video tutorial on the rc3 !!!
Cheers!
Cool Thanks. Also thanks for keeping it quick and straight forward.
Very clear tutorial, thanks! :)
Thanks for that demo on the basics of the RC3. The first six demos on You tube told me nothing useful at all! I had the RC2 previously which as well as being a lot simpler to use worked in a totally different way. I found the manual fro the RC3 pretty useless in getting you up and running apart from being printed in microscopic type size...
Thanks!
This is really helpful - thank you so much
Thanks, very useful for begginers
Amazingly concise and helpful tutorial. Thanks!!
Good beginners intro. Thanks. Very helpful.
Great video. Thanks. Just got one to help with my practicing!

Thank you for getting right to the point. Very informative. I didn't have to listen to some as...hole playing guitar for 20 mins bf he starts talking
super helpful = just bought one used - ty!
Good beginners tutorial, I wish I could have seen the red recording light with it. Thanks again.
Thank you for making this mate! Legend!
Great explanation! Thank you.
Frank, Thanks for sharing the basic tutorial. I appreciate it. Stan
That was very helpful, thanks!
thanks a lot, very easy to understand.
Great help. Thank you!
Thanks so much I really needed this
thank you very simple alot was explained now i get how to use it. picked one of these up 15 dollars at a gradge sale
wow! sweet deal haha
Thank you very much that video was most helpful😊
Thanks that was very helpful !
thanks. I finally understand this pedal.
Thank you for the lesson
This is a nice intro thanks!
The only other thing I might add is that it appears that there is a setting for autostart. i.e. the loop starts when you start playing. That would presumably help with matching the timing at the beginning.
Anyway... nice tutorial for beginners like me.
Super helpful thanks man.
Good tutorial! Tyvm.
Great stuff! Thanks.
Big help, thanks!
That helped me !..thanks a lot !
Thanx bud good tutorial
Awesome. Thank you!!
thank you it was helpful
Thank you for the quick response Frank, i'll give those conversion cables a look, my only doubt now is if it'll power up the mic using one of those... best regards!
Thankyou very much indeed.
May I add for the benefit of others that if you want to hook up a microphone make sure you get a XLR to mono jack. Got mine today and fiddled for a long time with a stereo cable before I was put right with a call to Guitar Center.
thanks for the tutorial, of we have a saved track. can we delete it the same way as shown or how can we select the desired track ( if we had multiple tracks saved)? thanks again.
Thanks so much for this
very helpful thanks
!thanks dude! saved me time = )
your camera angle is not letting us see the red light for recording thats next to the green light so we dont know whats going on
good video!!
don't worry, it was helpfull ! Thanks
there is a munual but small text lol..so everything helps ..clear concise no stupid rocking tack in the background many thanx
Thank you very much 👍
Thank you!!
Thanks man!
You can use a mixer or you can find a cable that plugs into your MIC and then converts to a 1/4 inch guitar like cable. I don't really use acoustic instruments other than the guitar and my guitar has a cable output so I can hook it directly into the loop station
Thanks man!!
Nice. Thanks!!
nice video dude
Thanks mate!
Thank you Jackson
Thank you so much for this intro. Timing and sync are critical. Can you clarify if the Boss RC-3 allows for an initial phrasing longer than a 4-beat measure? And if so, how do I set the length of my initial loop phrase? Thanks!
thank you rocker . i bought RC 3 today and you helped to find the point of start with that. do you thinking i need to connect to usb for update software or no? thx a lot from japan
Thanks for your video. Just wondering how would you record using a loop pedal? Because on most tutorial videos including yours the output is plugged into speakers. So say you're using a Boss RC-30 with two inputs (mic and guitar) and you want to record the whole performance... would you have to put a mic on the speaker or something? Sorry not the best with the tech stuff haha
Thank you!
thank you so much!
Thanks, very nice demo. Are there any other really good loop stations on the market that's easier to understand?
