    One thing to consider... that green bit of plastic (which should be metal or at least stronger) in the handle clips of the Stirling completely worn down on both sides then the thing wouldn't start... nice design ^^ I guess if one of the clips is loose and you're pushing it, or even if you're just pushing it normally the weight of the machine seems to wear them down.

    Belle comparaison de produit et bravo à la firme ALLET qui a su gommer les petit point faible de la Liberty sur la Stirling . Ça en fait plus une machine pour professionnel vu son prix . Preuve de compétence la firme ALLET innove constamment. Bravo à vous et petit plus pour les propriétaires de la Liberty cet adaptateur pour les cartouches interchangeables.

    Can you use cartridges from all sizes of Kensington with adaption on either the Liberty or the Stirling or is it just the 20” to the Stirling. If not, it’s a shame, as I think that might deter me and others from changing to a greener future because of the extra cost. Looking at the liberty, it would also have been nice to have seen a simple modification to the method of changing cartridges e.g. lever or knob screws on side cover. As you say it does dissuade changing them sometimes. This is especially true on my Kensington at the moment, as the nut welded on drive side of the frame has partially striped threads and I now have to secure the cartridge by using an extended length bolt and putting a backing nut on top of the striped nut. All Great mowers all the same.

    • @ALLETTMOWERSUK
      @ALLETTMOWERSUK  Před 2 lety

      HI Paul, No they have to be the same size eg if you have a Liberty 43 with cartridges you can take the 17'' cartridges with you to the Stirling 43.... or if you have a Kensington 20 you can use the 20'' cartridges in the Stirling 51. There may be changes on the current Kensington/Liberty 43 in the future to make life easier in terms of changing a cartridge quicker

    An interesting point to make is you can buy All the cartridges and the liberty 43 for the price of a sterling 43 with battery and charger. Makes me think if I were looking to buy would be how important is that 10 second cartridge change vs 2-3 minutes and a few other things.

      @@ALLETTMOWERSUK What improvements could you possibly make that potential buyers here in North America would consider owning Liberty line. I have neighbors who love my Liberty 43 and have used it several times to try it out but what stops them from considering such a large investment is the grass bin. They want a bin that is easy to remove and reattach like on most rotary mowers here in North America. The Liberty Line is your most popular reel mower and after 6 years of production it appears to stand still like a statue never moving or changing appearance. The Sterling 51 is mostly targeted toward professional landscapers and those that have very deep pockets while the Liberty 43 is a primarily residential weekend warrior type of unit. I will be looking to an engineer friend to see if he can design me a one off grass bin that fits my needs.

    Manufacturers love to overstate voltage by using the charged voltages. The nominal voltages are 36V (144Whrs) and 50.4V (252Whs), respectively, if they were fully charged. They seem to be charging them to about 80%.

    it is really weird to see a company try to sell me on the idea that the very expensive mower I just bought last year isn't really that good compared to another mower. I mean they're not making the case for a double the cost situation at all, but it's just a weird video to watch. I understand you want to sell your "new thing" but it seems like the main reason the cost is double is the R&D cost and the fact that this is a niche product. Maybe I'll check back on the Stirling in 5 years.

I have the Liberty 43 and really do not like the catch bin at all. We who have the Liberty would appreciate as an option a catch bin like the Sterling.
