- In this episode of Coin Quest, we are coin roll hunting another $25 box of pennies in search of rare and valuable coins to fill up the collection books. This box was giving me a lot of trouble in the first half, but things ended up a lot better towards the end- especially in the last 5 rolls which I decided to open live (for extra luck!). This box was hiding a killer find all the way at the bottom and I'm glad I didn't give up looking otherwise I might have missed it!

This week I went to a yard sale with my friends and I thought I wasnt going to get any coins but me and my friend are coin collectors and we found a HUGE bag for Canadian pennies and I bought them and later that day I went to his house and we found a whole bunch of kg6s and and 2 1932 1929 and 1928 Canadian kg5 pennies it was AWESOME 😎

I just found a 1922 Canadian coin I think it’s a nickel and I keep all old money I find just thought it was cool and it’s in real good condition I also have a few that Canadian penny to lol

I started collecting coins about 6 months ago but now it’s hard for me to search for older coins because the bank won’t allow me to get a box of pennies iam just wondering when I can get a box of pennies again

You got to do better research on Canadian cents starting 1965 was the first year of a mature queen, with 4 varieties and the rarest is LGBT bead pointed 5. Also 2 kinds for 1983 and 1985 also a pointed 5 and steel and zinc cents from 2000 to 2012, and some major errors especially for 2006
🤣 I'm so pleased that you like King George (6th). He is definitely one of my favourite monarchs on coinage. Yes, he was on the throne between 1937 and 1952, the year he died (fairly young). I could watch you open coin rolls and listen to you talk all day......

Nice find. I have been keeping Canadian as well in fact I bought a couple years ago about 3 tubes of old ones from a coin shop for 2 cents per coin found a bunch of 30s and 40s.

I have two 2012 canadian cents. One is magnetic and one isn't. Did they make these out of two different metals?
Half of them are copper-plated zinc (non-magnetic), and half are copper-plated steel (magnetic).
There was a split production like that from 2001 until the end of the penny in 2012.

Did you have any trouble getting penny boxes? My bank said no when I tried a few weeks ago
Milled Steel Denver won’t let you get a roll of any coin ( unless, you are a business )..businesses can get 1 roll of each demonization.
@wrong pill denominations, but yes I did have some problems getting some, but my bank didn't have a box of them, but they were able to get them to me in bags.

I think I found a ton of wheat pennies and an Indian head in a box once. I like doing pennies because I only have to give twenty five dollars for a box.

I thought NF Strings were always full of new, completely uncirculated, coins? I saw that may not be the case. Could you, Quin, or anyone here help me understand things a bit better? If there's more to it than what I've already quickly said here that is..
This is a box of pennies that bank customers bring to the bank and dump in a coin machine to get cash/ dollar bills.
@@dennismarsh7190 they came in "NF Strings and Sons" labeled wrappers. I thought only new coins came with such a labeling. I understand these were brought in from customers. I'd like to know if they are sometimes wrapped on site or always shipped for processing elsewhere? Or rather, do some banks wrap coins with rolled ends?
@@jackovoltraids5937 they have a whole machine for it and usually say Loomis or your banks name. I got a box right when a customer walked in to dump more. I told my wife who works there "'ll wait till it's done" surely enough it was another box full. But the nf strings ones you can buy at Wal-Mart
And they do roll on site. I just asked her. Only ship ou5t if the machine is down
