  • In this episode of Coin Quest: Pennies, we are coin roll hunting another $25 box of pennies in search of rare coins, old coins, and anything interesting or unique that pops out of the rolls. Miraculously, we have stumbled onto our second straight "double ender" which is a coin roll that is showing rare or old coins on both ends of the roll. This led to even more great finds on an overall excellent box. Stay tuned to see what we find!

Love your presentations... I'm an old fogy who, as a child, collected coins during the 60's. Love your enthusiasm as it brings back my memories of when my dad brought back small bags of coins for me to search. Best coins, in my childhood opinion, was shaking out pennies from my uncle Charles's piggy bank. His bank had fifties coins with original shiny mint patinas from the 50's. I told my grandmother how much I wanted the pennies I had on display for her.. she said that's nice but it's not your money.... I told my grandmother, as I pulled my current Quarter alliance out of my pocket, I can replace every penny I wanted to take and then a couple.... She smiled and hugged me... I knew I did good... Guess your blog got me as I have never shared this experience in my life... Keep this page going for us appreciative folks!!!!

Those P marked Canadian cents are actually likely a lot harder to find despite their higher mintage, as they are steel and sorting machines here in the US are designed to reject steel.

It is really fascinating watching your coin hunts, I've seen a ton of them now and learnt a lot about US coins! As I'm from England, I find it amazing that you can find such old coins in your loose change. Your videos made me have a look at a bag of US coins that I had tucked away. When I was 8, my dad was working in Dallas, and I was interested in collecting coins then, so he brought me back a load of his loose change of US coins. They've all been in a bag for the last 22 years, so I just had a look at them.
    Four Wheat pennies - 1944 (blank), a REALLY crispy 1956D, 1957 (blank), 1958D.
    Two pre-1960 Nickels, 1955D and 1958D.
From just from one small bag in England, I don't think that's a bad little haul!

I also live in a Canadian border state - Maine. I also collect Canadian coins. When I go to the bank I ask if they have any Canadian coins. They usually have a bunch and are glad to get rid of them.

Luckily I found your channel. I’ve been collecting rare coins and dollars since kindergarten. It felt nerdy at the time but I’ve realized it’s quite an art to to be a numismatic. Complex information for each denomination to understand the value your coin/currency. Fun to watch your videos and share your excitement. I have a handful or rarities I feel I’m ready to sell a few pieces. Any advice from the viewers where they like sell?

Is cotton better for any particular reason? Please keep doing what you do. I've learned so much from your channel. Thank you for all the useful information.

I think nickels are my lucky coin. I watched your last video and thought, “I hope I find a 39 sometime.” I have just found a 1910 v nickel. I was going through some nickels and saw this dark edge. I pulled it out and saw 39. I flipped it over at first saw no mint mark then I checked again and saw D. I think I am really lucky or something.
