  • Drugs and addiction are perceived as the main causes of homelessness, but the truth is, a lot of us are just one emergency away from homelessness ourselves.

I feel like there are some missing pieces to this story. While living in one of the most expensive cities in America, she quit her job without another job lined up (well, got fired but said she was about to quit anyway) and while in an unstable living situation. And as a young working woman, there was nobody in her life that would let her crash on the couch or even the floor until she found work? Or someone who would at least let her get mail at their address so that she could connect with an employment agency and make a little money to get on her feet?
I'm sorry, but I see red flags. Maybe everything she said was true, or MAYBE there's a reason she got fired and a reason her roommate kicked her out and a reason she can't even make eye contact while telling this story.

She seems to me a bit autistic, I've met many, many people in my life as hairstylist and RN for over 20 years, I really think she's had bad luck and telling truth about the roommate, she's embarrassed about it. She likely didn't fit in with the catty, mean stylists she worked with, she'll bounce back from this, quickly if she wants, she's a very bright girl! Having a roommate is risky, especially if they are flaky, or quirky. If they decide to leave the situation, you are stuck with an apartment you can't afford on your own ! I don't recommend such arrangements. It CAN lead to homelessness. And because of the permanent housing shortage everywhere, one can't just run right out and get an apartment, like you could in the 1960's, or 70's. It takes a massive building campaign in the country, to create enough housing to end homelessness, or the potential to become homeless !

So even if i have no address and regular job, i gained connections while also maintaining bodybuilding type bulky body frame because i could still afford large amount of calories which attracted high paying customers for my intimate services.
