I’m impressed how we as a fandom managed to ship the character with the most trauma with the one that will only make there trauma worse.
And also: “Hehe, red with red”
Shipping the character who lost a love ones with another character that will die is obviously the best ship.
- After her new loved one got eaten from the inside and reanimated by a DLL, Artificer invades Five Pebbles and Garbage Wastes in order to commit genocide on The Rot.
- Many cycles later, Five Pebbles thanks the Artificer for her help, thinking that Artificer did it because she wanted to help him.
- Artificer does not seem to be listening.
@@EmpireOfTheUnáty Fun fact: in the animation the body moves before the animation fades to black. This probably means Artificer ends up dying as they are in perfect grabbing for those tentacles.

I love it. I especially love the fact the Hunter’s body moving after being hit shows that Artificer will die or potentially have to strike Hunter down again. This is the maximized bad ending; Artificer lives long enough to see Hunter transform and thinks they stuck down Hunter’s rot interested corpse but they didn’t. Allowing for a surprise attack that will likely kill Artificer and Artificer has just enough time to start processing that they just killed Hunter.

Did you know? Hunter long legs is immune to explosive spears in the sense they don’t instantly kill them! It’ll certainly down them for a second or two, so if you aren’t aware you might assume it was an instant kill like it would be to a BLL or DLL :]

A detail I really like is how it is implied the explosive spear didn't really kill Hunter since they still move just before the animation ends. In game, Hunter long legs isn't instakilled by explosives like most rot creatures are, and can survive several explosive spears.
Rip To hunter, and pity to Arti. Artificer basically lost all of the 3 things she cared most for. And she likely won’t even ever understand what happened to hunter.

Well done, ngl The Hunter story is probably one of saddest story of the game, the rot is terrifying, even trespassing the rules of the world and letting you out of the cycle for some reason
It doesn’t let you out of the cycle. That’s what’s terrifying. Hunter is still very much conscious.

The Cycle is the force that does not let you die, whenever the player dies, he restarts the game from the place he last time slept, canonically this works for every creature in the world, essentially granting them Immortality, but trapping them in a cycle of constant suffering waking up and rebirthing, for example, The Hunter is basically forced to relive being born, suffer from his disease and then dying over, and over, and over. This is why ancient civilization tried to find a way to escape this cycle. You should really check Rain World lore videos if you're not planning to play the game.
@@EmpireOfTheUnátyrain world lore is full of beauty and tragedy… it’s only logical that the fandom has the sense of humor and wonder of a child. It’s the same with hollow knight, and MLP, the darker the lore, the cuter and sweeter the fans, and vice versa…also, you explained the cycle really well!

God where do I even start? The animation and concept for this is INCREDIBLE, not to mention how well the rot and such was animated!!! This is top tier, props to everyone who animated!

That one part where the spear evidently exploded and killed Hunter at the very end is CHILLING

CZcams has been recommending me individual parts for this MAP since before I even joined the Rain World fandom and it's honestly one of the things that convinced me to check it out. Seeing it all finally come together is like some kind of catharsis.... It's great, amazing, love it. Me and my wife were watching at the premier together and I almost cried. There is so much love in these slugcats and these artists and this community! Artihunter! Love wins!

To be fair, any form of rot is notoriously difficult to kill. Even with explosives. She atleast probably put Hunter out of their misery prior.
Wouldn’t be surprised if the hunter long legs was alive. I’m pretty sure they have the stats of a mother long legs (which have very good blast resistance)
HLLs only have 50 HP (half the HP of a BLL) and have the same explosion weakness as DLLs & BLLs

I liked 0:46 because it was showing the player view, very creative, and also… I liked the final part where hunter was telling Artificer to end their suffering, very emotional.

I'M GENUINELY SOBBING. This is definitely one of my all-time favorite MAPs now!! Everything is so well done and everyone did an amazing job! The entire ending after Hunter gets turned gave me CHILLS. The scene of Arti backing away and shaking their head in disbelief, the entire ending was just phenomenal

Uhhh no you waited at least nine months, it wasn’t even a year
I have seen random parts for this MAP for MONTHS, from before I bought Rain World to now, when I am obsessed with anything to do with it. It seemed constant, something that would never be finished. Yet here it is. The first thing I see on my recommended, forcing me to take a second to process it, before watching what I have eagerly anticipated for months...
The video just ended, and this better than anything I could have hoped for. I typically don't ship characters, and always opposed that in the Rain World community, but this has changed my mind. The animation, the way it matches the music, the tragic story it all tells, it is all perfect.
DAMN Everyone in this map COOKED this is probably one of my favourite maps by far! Everyone did their part justice with just how the visuals matched the audio so well
WOAH ITS FINISHED!! It was so cool to see the progress of this and I’m so happy it’s finished :D

But anyways, this whole map as a whole is incredible. I love all the ways the two were represented in different styles, and it's really cool seeing my favorite animators next to new ones i've never seen.
I for some reason I love how Yellowl portrayed Arti's explosive jump, a really nice touch paired with a really good quality animation.
I had been waiting for this map for so long, and I wake up, get on youtube, and it's at the top of my recommended. What a blessing.

I don't have enough words to describe how absolutely *amazing* this whole thing is! I've watched it a total of 12 times already, I think?? The animation, the effects, the lip syncing at just the right times- just- kudos to the animators and every single person who worked on this!!
