This 1970s-inspired Glashütte Original Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date has just as much substance as style. With the Glashütte Original manufactory Calibre 37-02, made in-house to the highest quality standards, the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date is as precise and reliable as you would expect it. Next to 70 hours of power reserve and 10 bar water resistance the timepiece offers a view of the exquisitely finished movement through a sapphire crystal case-back. The Calibre 37-02 with column-wheel switch has succeeded in combining the most important chronograph functions in a watch of a pleasing size: chronograph with stop-second, flyback, 30-minute display and numeric 12-hour display, Panorama Date and power reserve indication. These features make this watch a great choice ...

Yesssss! Thanks for sharing!
Such a great release from Glashutte just wish it fit into my budget. Luv all the complications that have been subtly integrated into the dial. Just so well done. Great review!
Thanks for sharing your passion with us! I keep my fingers crossed... 🤞🏻
Love it. This and the Panomatic Lunar are my favourite Glashutte models. Looks like the Swatch Group is putting some effort to expand and popularize the brand and that's good!
Thanks for sharing!
Great for showing this GO Seventies Chrono. One of my most thought of watches for quite some time. Maybe not in this color.. Better in blue or one of the new limited editions...
That’s what I call being spoilt for choice… 😉
What a beautiful watch with all these phantasitic little details.
As I own a SeaQ Panorama Datum I can confirm the quality of the Brand and maybe even the watch. In my opinion a perfect price value even to cheap for it's perfectness.
Good to know that the watch and the brand receives the respect that it deserves.
Thanks Alex for another profund Review 😊
Thanks for sharing our passion! May your SeaQ continue to always show you happy seconds, minutes and hours...
…. wie immer ein ausführlichstes großartiges review! Habe noch nie einen Chrono On Off Indikator gesehen. Dankeschön
Danke für Dein nettes Feedback!
An absolutely fabulous piece. The seventies chronograph panorama date is actually my dream watch, or maybe second place after an Overseas. I was so excited when GO began releasing the new limited colors of the model, even though I was not going to be buying one it was great to see the different expressions of the colors. I personally do not mind the size as it provides the 'presence' that is part of the expression of the design. Great video review as always and thank you for the close up dial and movement footage.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us and let me know if you have any questions...
Hi hi Alexander! This is the best looking GO model to me. 'TV' style with lots of retro vibe. Love it!!!!! ❤️
Great review Alexander.
Thanks for watching and for sharing our passion!
Love the GO Panorama Datum - it’s stunning
Readability couldn’t be better…
Love the Tiffany-dial version of this watch!
That's the only one I don't like... 😉
@@WatchAdvisor 😂 I can totally imagine why some people don’t like it haha I think it’s cool
What a masterpiece! This is why I like watches, because of pieces like this. Greetings from MX
Thanks for sharing our passion! Greetings from Vienna…
it's a piece of art, thank you for reviewing us this gorgeous watch, it is on the same level as breguet and blancpain.
I tried it last week at Güblin Boutique, I'm in love with this 😍 watch...
Thanks for sharing our passion! Will you buy it? Please keep us posted…
Thanks Alex, another great review!
You are very welcome!
Thank you for your review, Alexander! This is a beautiful piece for one of the best manufacturer out there in my humble opinion. I usually do not love squared watches, but I think this one is super nice and I would wear one with great pleasure.
Thanks for sharing!
Interesting and cool watch
May I ask: what exactly do you like?
Love the dial aesthetically pleasing
Thanks for sharing!
I love the Glashutte Original Seventies watch series - seems to be undervalued as doesn’t get featured very often. Really like their orange and green Sixties series too. Agree it is a bit pricey. Thanks for uploading - would have been great to see the non chrono version too (albeit would be a different dial colour).
In another video maybe… 😉
Saving money for my next watch, most likely a GO. This one could it be in blue or « Tannenbaumgrün » on brown « Wildleder » strap, and as a big fan of minimalistic design the Senator excellence black dial. A review on the latter is highly welcome. Love your videos Alexander. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for sharing and your kind feedback! Well take your time… Anyhow, I keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Yeah 👍, I also like it much more on the wild leather
Like this piece definitely want one
Let me know if you have questions and/or need any help…
It’s the blue dial on Steele bracelet that gets me all frothy …
I hear you!
@@WatchAdvisor great review! If I may ask, what size is your wrist? It looks great on you.
Agreed. That is a sharp combination.
Awesome watch :)
I am happy to read that…
Lovely watch, always appreciated the Senator 70s case over the Senator 60s, and the green dial is a nice touch (although the blue dial non-chronograph remains on my "to buy" list). Great video as always, Alexander!
Thanks for sharing! Keep us posted concerning your “to buy” list…
@@WatchAdvisor haha, it won't be a while yet - I've just bought my first gold watch, a 38.5mm Omega Aqua Terra, which I'm loving at the moment. Smaller sizes are definitely a welcome return in the industry!
So COOL oh man!
Did you know the chronograph already, or did you discover it through the video?
Very interesting 🧐
What exactly, may I ask?
@@WatchAdvisor actually everything about this watch is interesting
Great Review pal.
Love your comment, thanks for sharing!
Brilliant presentation as usual. Since watching I've been trying to understand the distinction between a dégradé and fumé dial, but I suspect some of the precise methods used to accomplish either may be trade secrets. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you, Alexander.
Read some of the comments here... www.watchuseek.com/threads/fumé-dial-watches.5125981/page-2 ... you should get some answers...
the two digit date are at the same level which is what alange should learn
amazing piece
I hear you… 😉
In blue dial is a sweet watch...!
I personally would also choose blue...
Hey, great content as usual. Friendly reminder we emailed you for a review on our new watches., in case it's in your junk folder. Cheers.
Not interested! Cheers.
@@WatchAdvisor What an unnecessarily rude and abrupt response... Why not DM a; “Thanks but no thanks” instead of putting these guys down in front of everyone? Courtesy costs nothing, Alexander.
@@SJCB27 Never saw/got an email from them - Sorry!
Love the line from GO, just wish they would bring back the time of day panoramic date version.
Do you own a GO watch?
@@WatchAdvisor , yes I own two, the PanoMaticLunar XL & Senator Observer. Now that your question has been answered why should it even matter?
Bravo, congratulations… May your GO watches continue to always show you happy seconds, minutes and hours… I was just curious… Thanks for sharing!
That thing is huge! I was drooling over this watch and thought it would make my entry into the brand but having seen it on Alex's wrist, I am having 2nd thoughts. 40x40 and soooo thick. I measured my Ulysse Nardin Quadratto this morning. Despite the quadrant in its name, it measured at around 40x38 (even though it is listed at 42x42) and that one feels like a giant these days. I can only imagine how ridiculous this one would look on my wrist :(((
If you can still go and try it... You never know....
Did you ever cover the glashütte senator chronograph panorama date? Most underrated chronograph at these pricepoints imo. THX
No, but I will make a review of the new SeaQ chronograph instead…
@@WatchAdvisor also very nice watch but the senator is my favorite 🤩
I love it much more on calf leather. Should I buy it on integrated bracelet then buy the leather strap separately ?
You should buy the style/type of bracelet/strap you like. Try them 1:1 on your wrist and let your heart decide, it won’t lie…
Is it possible that we are shown 2 samples of the same watch?. One with seconds, chrono seconds and chrono minute handles in black; and one where these handles are grey (or similar). Take a look at 28:00 and at 28:30.
NO! This is only caused by different light conditions and the reflections coming from the dial/hands/indexes ...
Beautiful watch .... The Blue dial is the one I would buy. Great review as always Alexander !!
Thanks for watching, sharing your thoughts and your kind feedback... By the way: I'd also pick the blue dial.... 😉
Alexander-thank you for the great video! I have been considering a GO watch for a while. I love the look of their divers and this square chronograph. I generally do not like power reserve indicators, but this one is very tastefully done and I prefer it. I also like the quirky on and off notification on the back of the watch. I think GO is a very thoughtful brand that gives a lot of value to their customers. I am considering getting this chronograph (likely in blue) so was thrilled to see you break it down. You have measured accuracy of the divers in your past video. Did you happen to measure accuracy of this? If not, no worries and thank you for making such interesting content. I am considering this or a ceratanium IWC chronograph. It is fun to think about cool watches. Thank you!
I have not been measuring it since the watch belongs to a traveling collection and already got through to many hands... 😉 In general you can trust GO that they regulate their watches properly... so IMHO there is no reason to worry... Please keep us posted concerning the blue dial version... and let me know if you ahem any other questions...
Stay well and thank you for kindly replying! Always appreciate hearing your wisdom.
Ich habe die Referenz 39.47.13.12.14 mit violettem Blatt und Pfeilindexen am Stahlband, was für eine geile Uhr.
Love your passion!
Quite "70's" indeed.
Yesssss!
Incredible beautiful time piece. I'm not entirely sold on the color but that's just a matter of taste
But you know, that this chronograph also exists with dials in other colors?
@@WatchAdvisor certainly so, I have a fascination towards blue dials, which is my favourite. I can defo see the appeal towards this green dial, just not my cup of tea. But the piece in itself... It's mesmerising... and the movement... Maybe only JLC can deliver that level of finishing at that price point
@@asprinama Thanks for specifying and sharing! By the way: I would also choose the blue dial... 😀
@@WatchAdvisor there's something fascinating about blue which is just captivating
Fantastic watch, maybe a little too thick, and it's made for big wrists. The quality is not discussed, nice review, congratulations.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us and your kind feedback!
Plastic pointer
🤣
Always pleasure to look your presentation.
The dial looking very industrial but useful and very different what we usually see in the watches.
You have no ideas how many emails I already got concerning me scratching watches with my pointer … 😝😂😜🤷🏻♂️
That’s a lovely watch Alex and I don’t like square watches! Very clever in that it’s a bi compax Chronograph with timing of a tri compax, I do like that. Unfortunately at nearly £15k, too rich for my blood.
There is NO "bi-compax" and "tri-compax" chronograph!!!!! Using these expressions is wrong! "Bi-compax" and "tri-compax" where names Universal Geneve gave to some of its watches... just as if you would say Mercedes Benz "Golf" or Audi "E-Klasse" or BMW "A6"... Sorry!
Unique... got to respect that at least
“at least”… you must be kidding 😉
@@WatchAdvisor because i dont like that brand... but i respect it
Great review as always. Can you tell me the size of your wrist? I am like some of the other people here that have made comments about the size and thickness of the watch. I have a 7.25" wrist and am concerned the watch will be too thick/big for me. Thanks for the great content!
17 cm / 6,7 in
Thanks for sharing our passion and your kind feedback!
I have the same size wirst and this timepiece fits perfectly, the thickness is not a issue. My wrist size is 7.125".
@@bradhepditch7605 Thanks for sharing you personal experience with us!
What would you pick between this or an Hermès H08? I feel the Hermès is thinner and also has a very interesting shape and look. I have not tried this. However your video makes me want to try this weekend.
Only you can decide! Compare them 1:1 if you can and then let your heart decide… Please keep us posted…
I like that watch a lot as well. Please do update when you try them on!
How does this wear compared to the Black Bay 41 with the in house movement?
No idea! The only way to find out is to compare both 1:1 on your wrist in different light conditions...
i am willing to buy this watch for dress up. could you recommend dial color? blue or green??
I would go for blue.... BUT you have to try both 1:1, the blue and green, and compare them in different light conditions on your wrist...
You can also go for the older champagne colour- the Best and dressiest in my opinion
Looks really, really good in Person
Not sure about the olive green dial, but a great watch.
But you know, that this chronograph also exists with dials in other colors?
@@WatchAdvisor I do...
@@FFL3001 Good!
can we press the buttons in water? Thanks.
In theory yes… but I personally would not do it anywhere else than in shallow waters…
I had the same question-thank you!
Cool chrono hours execution. Watch too big for most people though.
One must try it of course, only then you know…
the dial looks different int his video then on their website. It looks way better on their website. Is that how it looks? or does it look like the one in the video?
Our cameras are always perfectly color calibrated … a normal and neutral calibrated, good monitor/screen will therefore also reproduce the correct color…
thinner and less complicated. pretty obvious, too bad they don't realize this
Then it would not be the same watch though… There is also a non-chronograph version of the Seventies… Did you know that?
My hesitation with GO is they only offer 2 year warranty
Why? GO's quality is without a flaw... You will with or without 5 years guaranty have no problems...
@@WatchAdvisor Then what's the reason of not giving 5 years warranty if there won't be problems? Don't forget this watch costs 14.200€!! Giving 5 years warranty like all big brands do proves the quality.
@@WimD I will try to find answers from GO for you…
5 years is a new thing these days but if it helps I have a #panomaticlunar and only devices it twice in 13 years. Runs perfectly and they didn't even charge me the first time either out of warranty. They are super nice. The second time was about 600 us
I love the design , its a great watch . But a bit too expensive!
Glashutte watches are some of the best value for dollar
Yes, correct!!!
Super nice bit unfortunately too big like other GO lines.
You need to try the watch on your wrist ... only then you will know...
@@WatchAdvisor You're right
@@safarit678 Please keep us posted…
@@WatchAdvisor I just tried it on yesterday and sadly the thickness is a bit too much (around 18cm wrist).
Its not too big but too thick sadly.
But otherwise a really beautiful watch- if you have a bit more body fat then the back will dig a bit into your wrist and it wont Look that thick tough
@@raupenimmersatt6906 Thanks for sharing!
What about value retention ?
Do you want to buy a watch or a share?
@@WatchAdvisor just to check they totally tank. We never know when a bad day could come !
@@Romio666 A Rolex will most likely have a better reselling value… but apparently it is not the one you want… and you should only buy a watch you really want…
@@WatchAdvisor I have a watch addiction and already have many Rolexes. As that’s lot of money for my budget to keep in watches, always check if the watch at least some resale value. I mean at least to be able to already exchange it or sell it after few years for 70% of retail. I like to diversify my collection too. I never had a fly back chronograph.
Said so much, but nothing about the bezel and finish of the case. All together ok though. Beautiful looking watch.
Our 4K-pictures are so good, that one can discover things even when I am not mentioning everything in a video...
42 mm lug-to-lug really??! Doesn't seem right.
Why should that be wrong?
@@WatchAdvisor That would be the sane as a Santos medium which is a tiny 35mm watch. Other sources mention a 50+mm lug-to-lug which sounds more realistic.
Since there are no lugs I measured the length of the case … from where the strap/bracelet is mounted … the case itself measures 40x40 mm
@@WatchAdvisor I understand. I believe that a better measurement, to help people like me assess how a watch wears, would be the total non-flexible distance of the watch which can sometimes include part of the strap.
I hear you! Will add such an information to the next videos… Thanks for sharing!
Very nice and interesting video👍I have this watch with a different dial on my radar since 3 years or so, and have already put it on my wrist at the AD, but for my wrist it is really to thick🤷♂️🥲nevertheless thanks for this great video 👌
If you still have an eye on the Seventies chronograph you should try it again on your wrist… then let your heart decide… buy emotional and not rational… Too big? What does this mean?
