- HOKA MACH 6: First Impressions Review
In this video I give my first thoughts on the Hoka Mach 6. In the past, I have not really got along with any of the Hoka Mach series to date but the Mach 6 promises to be a little different. Have the upgrades made a difference? Is the new model a worthy upgrade? Tune in and find out!

I was given this shoe and it has a smooth ride and slightly bouncy midsole, although a little more snug than I like. I'm wary about the durability. At 80+ miles, the midsole is still fine but I don't see it lasting as well as the supercritical foam in my Hyperion Max, which has gotten better with age (260 miles). It's a fun shoe for moderate length (6-7 miles) runs.
Thanks for the update on your experience, keen to hear how long the midsole holds up for you.
I wouldn’t use them as my daily trainer. Maybe on track days. Daily trainers are supposed to be durable some go up to 500mi.
I don't think I have ever had a HOKA that has lasted longer than 200km. They have all flattened out and felt dead really quickly.
@@run-are That’s why if I get a Hoka they’ll be either a one day a week running/track shoe or one of their race shoes
How does it compare to the rebel b4?
Stiffer than the Rebel, Rebel feels more natural on the foot. The Mach's foam has a little more pop in the forefoot and the rebel is slightly softer. I'll do a comparison review soon!
More snug than the Rebel V4.
But durability is bad in both.
About 200 miles, the midsole felt dead ...
That's not a good sign 😩
