For reasons I do not understand there are some negative comments about this video, like, why not just say what you want. The point you are missing is there are a lot of people who cannot hear that well, either through other noise going on at the same time or they are simply hard of hearing. This video does show a method of communicating down the rink which many will find helpful. Some signals differ from what I have learned, but overall it does a good job in explaining the best way to communicate what is required.
We are trying to make the game more interesting and easier to understand, not to confuse people more. What is wrong with using find Gets and voice to indicate score up or down.

Isn’t “Centering the Jack” the wrong way around? The player delivering the jack and giving the hand signals is the same, so the lady is the person who has delivered the jack. The commentary says the jack is to the right of centre, therefore, the signals given should be to her right... shouldn’t they? “The hands are raised on the side that you want the skip to move the jack.”

Check out bowls in Australia.... lot's of young players and they sure don't use this stuff.
