- What's the least training you can get away with for a 100 mile ultra marathon in the mountains? I chat to Tim Pigott coach and physio for HP3 Coaching, find out more here www.hp-3.co.uk/ about my plans for the Montane Lakeland 100 in July 2023. I have a toddler and job to juggle, do I have time? What should I focus on? Should I run or hike? Tim answers all the questions and more, and will be back next month for another catch up - have your questions ready! Comment below or watch live and comment for the chance to get your ultra running questions answered.

This was fabulous! I took away so much, but the big one was when he was talking about why a big effort before a race might not be worth it... "taking 4 weeks off training for the sake of 1 day running". 🤯 That will make me reevaluate my race schedule tonight! Looking forward to following your training!
Yes! Mind blown! What a good chat with Tim! That was my main takeaway too :)
Thank you for this interview Claire . Tim Pigott is a solid coach and a good runner . It is really good to get advice directly from him . Well done both.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really enjoyed this, looking forward to following your journey 😀👍
Thanks Andrew, it's going to be an interesting one!
Interesting again Claire. :)
Glad you think so!
This is a great episode thank you 😊. I’m curious if you’re snowdonia ultra is the one on Sunday 9 July as I’m running that one? 😊
Hey Mel, it's the UTS50k which is on 14 May, shame we won't be running together! Claire
I am like you about blisters. Could you do an episode on how to tap blisters.
Of course, consider it done...because I already did! czcams.com/video/fs-Y3qMtGQU/video.html Hope this helps you, and if you ever want to find out if I have archive content on a topic, goggle your topic plus 'wild ginger running' and whatever I have done on it should come up :) Happy trails! Claire
Just wondering if you got one of the Anti gravity devices for the tredmil? Or what was the actual name of it , couldn't find one anywhere 🤔
I think you have to go to a gym that has them, here is more about them, hope that helps! alterg.com/
Have you got any good links for a 100 mile training plan?
