    Regarding the last scholars explanation, well it is forbidden to celebrate anything annually except for 2 eids. A new house ceremony or graduation, or any form of happiness expressed in celebration is acceptable. But it shouldn't be done yearly like we do in birthday celebration and it also has origin from pagans.

    • @SoliderBoi_
      @SoliderBoi_ Před 10 měsíci

      @layman- You can't dismiss EVERYTHING a person says just because they happen to be wrong about a few, what have people said about Dr Yasir Qadhi in this video. Also nobody ever said birthdays are a part of islam, when a muslim celebrates his/her birthday they don't expect a reward from Allah or anything like that. The pagans had their own demonic rituals, I don't see people nowadays doing that when celebrating birthdays.

    • @layman-
      @layman- Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@SoliderBoi_ actually we say not to listen to him at all .. as layman can't differentiate between right or wrong... secondly it doesn't have to be demonic ritual or stuffs, blowing candle and cake itself is a ritual itself..and majority of scholars say it's prohibited to celebrate birthday

    • @SoliderBoi_
      @SoliderBoi_ Před 10 měsíci

      @layman- thats the whole point laymen can't differentiate between right and wrong that's why they ask the scholars or else what's the point of listening to ANY scholar for the matter? You seem to be indicating that we should disregard what he's saying for no reason.
      Blowing candles and cutting cake is not a ritual its a celebration and not all birthdays have cakes and candles so even if you were right about it being a ritual it doesn't explain how birthdays as a whole are haram.
      Again with all due respect to the scholars, nothing indicates it's haram

    Zakir Naik and all those who call a birthday celebration 'Haram' should have their heads examined.
    Firstly, Both of the Eids and Friday are celebrations of the Religion as in whole, while a birthday of an individual is a personal celebration wherein well wishes from his well wishers and families are blessed and bestowed upon him. They are two very different type of celebrations and a birthday celebration can also be looked upon as a celebration of the day when Allah gifted this individual a life.
    Secondly, Islam is a free flowing religion, free flowing of thoughts and ideas, free flowing of exchange of blessings, free flowing of compassion, free flowing of goodness, free flowing of happiness and it should be kept that way and not get constricted which these dumb minded preachers intend on doing.
    All I have to say is Celebrate every breath you take and offer your deepest gratitude to Allah for it. Islam does not constrict goodness and happiness. Celebrate your Birthdays and always dedicate a moment on your birthday to express your gratitude to Allah for gifting you this life this day.
    Amen.

Allah has allowed you to be free, to be this and that, but does that mean you go against his rules?? The Quran?? No. Read the Quran, read the hadith. Allah knows best. Follow his words.

      It has nothing to do with our religion but it has something to do with the pagans religion as they used to celebrate birthday as an act of worship

    Dr. Yasir Qadhi is a fitnah in our religion of this time in doing this. It is scary to listen to this guy and he has more philosophical approach. 😮

      It’s fitna because we are not supposed to copy the traditions of the nonbelievers! We’re not supposed to imitate them! Drink grape juice in a glass one glass is imitating drinking alcohol! That should feel wrong in your stomach. Not knowing that something is pagan worship isn’t an excuse to say to Allah swt “oh I didn’t know!” So I guess by his reasoning Halloween and Christmas would be acceptable too!

    Birthday is 100% a pagan festival so don't know what you talking about Yasir & again anniversaries is also another western thing so are mothers, father's day, for us Muslims everyday is a blessing & if 1 by 1 will copy the non Muslims especially in rituals as birthday then in future we will accept anything so you are definitely WRONG because the Hadith of don't copy the non Muslims does apply to birthdays

      Every country celebrates birthdays, it's not a Pagen festival. What God is being worshipped on a Birthday?

      @@alexojideagu good question 😊 birthday was first celebrate by the phoroah for when a phoroah was born they would worship the phoroahs & then by the Roman pagans so on to Christian's who started idol worshipping with the cross & birth of God's son another God,,, now everyone wants to follow the trend even some Muslims are doing the same thing...

      @@husnaimaan7006Just because the Pharaoh did it doesn't mean we're doing it because he did it. And aren't you supposed to make your kids happy in Islam? And besides, Milad-un-nabi was prophet Muhammad (SAW) birthday, and we Muslims still celebrate it. I think at it's worst, it's place is neutral. And if you sing happy birthday to someone, it's still okay. Singing isn't haram in itself, the instruments are, so you can sing without any music, as long as all the lyrics are not haram (swearing, sexual words etc). But I think buying something really unnecessarily expensive like expensive watches and expensive phones is haram because you're wasting far too much money. I think making a wish while blowing the candles is haram and you should make wishes (duas in this case) instead. And cake cutting is in no way at all haram. We all cut regular everyday things like pizza and pies all the time, so how is this any different??
      But at the end of the day, Allah knows best.

      @@king_mononykus if we start making exceptions then we can do whatever we want, prophet Muhammad pbuh said; do not copy other ppls religions not the pagans & birthday clearly is a pagan tradition done by the worst of ppl phoroah so muslims celebrating birthdays who's sunnah are they following? Their is a very good reason music is haram, not only it is a tool of the iblees but it will also be used by Dajjal,
      Prophet Muhammad pbuh said do not mix haraam with halal...
      It's not okay to make ur children happy by doing things you shouldn't like celebrating Christmas, Devali, vasaki ect like what many have started doing but they don't even follow their own religion..

    There is another reason why birthdays are Haraam. chocolate cakes were not eaten during the time of our prophet. All cool cakes are new inventions. They are Bidah and that's why haraam. Because Bidah is haraam.
