- I tried a half cut crease eyeshadow tutorial on my semi-hooded eyes and WHOA, I was amazed. This was a lot easier than I thought that it would be! I know I'm WAY behind in trying something like this, but seriously, it's always intimidated me for some reason ...? Have you tried this technique before?

Hey Zabrena! I really like this video concept because we can see how eye shape impacts each look. I think many of us tend to be carried away when we see a stunning eye look and forget that it will probably appear very different on our face.
I adore Angela. I love how close up she shows her tutorials and she explains things so well. I love her eye looks and colour combinations. You really can see how much lid space it looks like you now have. It looks fab on you.
It's incredible how much more open your eye looks with this technique. I haven't mastered more than one color of eye shadow yet, but I definitely want to start practicing this. Looks great Zabrena!!

As soon as I seen the thumbnail I said, that's Angela! I love her and how she is up close so you can really see the application. I tried this and it took me awhile but looked so nice and did make my eyes appear bigger. But same as you, I am a busy mom of 3 and the two youngest are 3 and 2 year old girls and this mama doesn't have the time or patience to be doing this daily. Lol!

Now.....I FINALLY know what a cut crease is ! So happy this popped up in my recommended videos, but wow, that's a lot of work and the results area spectacular.
Angela is a genius. I watched her video and it even helped me do my regular eyeshadow better. I swear, CZcams has taught me everything I know about makeup and I'm grateful to all of you who make these videos to help us.

This is how I did my eye shadow for years and years-I only learned a few years ago that you are supposed to blend the crease shadow into the transition. When I learned that I felt so dumb. Then low and behold-two years later I was seeing and hearing all this stuff about a "cut crease" so I googled it and discovered I was well practiced in the technique by accident lol. I always used mac paint pots to just above my natural crease rather than concealer and looking up. I drew the cut line with a very narrow flat brush just like you have demonstrated. I thought my entire life this is how eye shadow was supposed to be applied. I had been looking back to my wedding photos 10 years ago and always noticed my defined crease and felt silly I didn't "properly" blend my crease. Now it just looks like I was really on trend before its time.

Angela is my go-to eye gal, and this video has been at the top of my fave list forever! This look was so transformative on you, that when you finished the second eye, I literally said, “Wow!” out loud. I’ve never seen this technique look so completely different on anyone before. Nailed it on the first try!
I haven't tried this look either for the same reason as you. I have seen many of Angela's videos, and my looks never come out as good or close to hers, she is so talented and very creative, when I need inspiration I watch her videos. Thanks for trying this technique, maybe I'll try again.

It turned out beautiful zabrena! It really did open up your eyes. I just had to accept after years of trying that my eyes are just too hooded and deep that a cut crease just doesn't work for me. What does though is doing a transition shade much higher than my crease and not connecting it to the bottom just leave the outside corner open and kinda winged out and up. In case anyone is in the same boat as me that may work

I always do my eyes before my face, and being an artist helps with doing my makeup. I usually end up with 4-6 colors, and they look terrific due to the blending👍👍
It's so funny you are doing an Angela look, I just last weekend started to watch her videos, like really watch and pay attention. She is so talented. I have blue eyes, and hooded since starting to age. I was thinking of playing around with my eyes on a day that I'm not going to the office and just seeing what I come up with, it can be fun. I'm glad you mentioned your lashes. I'm down to one pair, and need to restock. Love the Kitten ones. I can cut in half and get 2 sets of tapered half lashes. Quality is so good.💕

I have enough lid space (not hooded eyes) but not as much brow space, and my eyes have changed over time, so I'd love to do a masterclass to help me understand how to really utilise what I now have to work with 😊
I feel like most youtubers have hooded or semi hooded eyes and those techniques just doesn't work on us with lots eyelid space. I used to be really great at eyeshadow application (all I used were my fingers), but circumstances have changed things for me, so yeah.....I'd like to learn again 🥰
I love Angela Bright's eye looks. They're always stunning. I've tried this technique and I love it. I find its easier for me to get the line above the "new crease" to look sharp when I use the Elf concealer brush. (The one with a white handle.)

When you opened your eye after applying the concealer and said "It's too high" I totally felt the same when I first tried a cut crease. The reason you open your eye (especially hooded eyes) is so you can create the concealer mark higher than your natural crease and at the end you can see all your hard work when your eyes are open. This looks so good on you!!

Thank you for this. Angela works magic with eyeshadow that most of us can't. It was nice to see this technique on a different eye shape and with someone that had not done it before. I wanted to try this for Thanksgiving (I'm video chatting with my son and his girlfriend I've never met) and want to impress. This gives me courage to at least practice and see how it goes.

I use to do something similar just so that lighter color would show up and be true .. Concealer on half the lid to the inner corner or the whole lid .. It does have a nice effect.. Especially applying zabrenas outer v technique
