No digital doubles. For instance, the shot where Obi-Wan gets kicked off the catwalk and falls 40 feet - As shown in this featurette, an actual stuntman fell off a huge platform onto inflatable bags whereas if a similar stunt was shown in Episode II or III, they'd just do a digital double.
All the Prequel Trilogy haters need to watch this. Lucas wanted to up the anti on what he'd already done in the previous movies. And with the advancement of technology, he was able to do so.

You do know that the sequels take place like, roughly 50 years after the prequels with only Kylo Ren being half trained by Luke with a lightsaber, how would it make any sense for any of the lightsaber fights to look like the ones in the prequels in place of the sequels??

That's more the reason there should be a three-sided lightsaber. No one's ever seen one in use before, therefore a lot of people will be excited seeing it be used on the big screen. Plus, I said depending on the handler. You're talking about human civilizations or humanoid ones. The boring thing is that everyone restricts themselves to borrowing from already existing civilizations instead of being completely original. The handler should be an alien with 3 thick fingers to fit around each handle.
I think also the word "Phantom" is in direct reference to Sidious appearing only as a hologram in this film. It's a clever play on the ghostly image that the Star Wars communications systems cast, and I don't think Sidious is ever seen once in the flesh in TPM (disregarding the Palpatine scenes).

In most films the actors look like they are aiming for the other person's sword instead of their body... the fights look choreographed. When Ewan fought he looked like he was actually trying to hit the other person. Lucas may have dropped the ball a few times on the Prequel episodes, but I feel like he made the lightsaber fight scenes a lot better.
Ewan got downright nasty with his lightsabering lol. I don't know if I'd wanna be the stuntman working with him through the choreography, cuz if I miss a parry he's gonna whack me _real_ good 🤣

And maybe they could hav followed on with the same story arc where palatine feels like maul isnt strong enough and wants him replaced and sees anakin as a likely candidate. and instead of the flat out of nowhere killing children thing we could hav had darth maul Doin it while anakin painfully watches but doesn't do anything to stop him. and it somehow ends with maul gettin killed and anakin replacing him as palpatines apprentice.

We just have different likes and dislikes. I'm a Formula 1 fan and don't like Nascar. Other people feel the opposite way and I respect that. Personally, I really like all of the OT and Prequel SW films, not the Disney ones (7, 8, & 9). After reading my stories again a few months after I wrote them, I realized how much of a bad writer I was compared to my peers. I decided then to quit writing because I just wasn't good at it. Just goes to show that even if you think your own work sucks, there are still people out there who thinks they're great or pretty good. Everyone feels differently about different things....
I think it's mainly the dialogue. Barely anyone sounds like they're human or having fun. Mostly all drone voices because they have to sound sophisticated. Kinda like Assasins Creed versus Uncharted in videogames.

The fights in two and three were just as "real" the exception being Yoda, as he was a digital character.
Yeah, Lucas went overboard with CGI in 2 & 3 & the film crew in Sydney were simply not as talented as the ones in London, not as experienced.

The Anakin/Obi-wan fight did have that tension, the problem is the other fights didn't have the history Obi-wan/Vader and Luke/Vader had.

You seem to think the sword fighting in these movies is supposed to be exactly like Kendo.
