“Markkanen, as several have chronicled, becomes extension eligible on Aug. 6. He’s on an expiring $18 million contract and due for a large long-term raise. There are several within the league who have grown more convinced that the Jazz, after exploring Markkanen’s trade market, plan to renegotiate-and-extend Markkanen, using their saved up cap space. That would take Markkanen off the table for six months, if the extension is signed on Aug. 6, bringing him back into the mix on Feb. 6, the exact date of next season’s trade deadline. If Markkanen waits to extend an extra day, Aug. 7 or beyond, he’d be ineligible to be traded next season, an extra bit of leverage for Markkanen and an added layer of information to dictate Utah’s ultimate decision on his future.”

Wiggins is a solid role player tho. He’s doesn’t take many shots plays with the system and had crazy good defense. They just need a second option. If they get Lauri and keep Wiggins and kuminga. The trade is Wiggins to the Raptors for a heavily protected first round pick in 2030, that allows Warriors to offer their 2029 and 2031 first round picks to the Jazz. Jazz get Moody, 4 FRPs (2025-2031) + swaps, and filler for Lauri. Lauri is 27, Jazz suck and they want to suck for the next 2 seasons at least, so Jazz are just looking for the best trade available, that is us. Wiggins going back to Canada for a top 20 protected 2030 first (same pick we used to trade poole), is a fair deal. To make that trade work, we might have to throw in a couple 2nds, and money it would be Olynyk and Boucher coming back to us.

Ainge price is high..by the deadline he has to settle for 2nd rounders if they don't intend to keep Lauri. Warriors would be smart to see other Bigs around the league. Just don't overpay like the Twolves did.

Thank God we've been doing moves aside from focusing on Lauri. If we devoted all the negotiating resources to Utah, we woulda wasted time sooo bad. The prospects of this falling into place is still slim. I think we should start looking for the next big man with the closest skill set. As much as we'd like to throw Post in there, he's still raw.

His play is complementary to the Dubs but he won't be viewed as a scoring threat to lure defenders away from Steph. We'd have a hard time convincing the team though coz TJD has identical stats with him and TJD has higher BPG.
I forgot to mention. Bobby's got a 3pt shot. That's another + for him. Again, quite a complementing fella if Dubs get him. I see him as another enforcer type too along with Dray.

Trade Wiggins and 4-6 draft picks and swaps.
They are not trading that many picks. That crazy. You see all these teams who trade all those picks are screwed; Brooklyn, Houston, Phoenix. Now, teams are trying to get those 1st round picks back. I hope they don’t trade more than 3-1st rounders.

the plan can not be to throw away half of the season in currys prime (while almost half the roster is reading articles that they might just waiting to be traded).... and all this hinging on what danny ainge feels like doing in February.... I just feel like there is a huge portion of that plan that would need to go right, and most of that plan is completely out of the warriors control.

the warriors can not go into the season with half of their roster thinking they are about to be traded. If they cant get a deal done for Markennan, then they need to move on. Simple Solution: GS needs to pull in additional teams along with Utah to help facilitate a trade that includes Wiggins, Looney, and maybe Moody as well depending on the picks they attatch and what the other teams involved are including that Utah values. The only real issue is, if they acquire Laurie and keep JK, can they afford both, and does that mean Laurie or Draymond is playing at the center position?!?!

Should’ve raised his value by giving him more minutes. Wigs avg 27 mins from his usual 32-33 and took less shot attempts which is why his numbers are down

Levin for Wiggins. Levin is not a great defender but he's a great secondary scorer. better than Klay or Poole as a SG in that secondary scorer's role. Kuminga can make up for the loss of Wiggins (SF) defensively and scores much better as the team's starting 3.

Ayton is wiggins in the 7 foot form. Motor is on and off, pretty soft, and unlike wiggins is a bad defender
