    • How to: Duramax Turbo ...
Showing you how to reroute your PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) on a duramax, video should be very similar on the LLY & LMM Video was recorded on an LBZ. I purchased my kit from alligator performance and it's a Deviant Race Parts 76120 kit.

Do you think this is the same process for the LMM? Thanks.

You need you a $20-25 harbor freight led shop light to hang under hood to see what your doing lol I'd freak if I had to work in the dark like that

I'm pretty sure it is cuz that's the same set up I think it's a great thing to do to keep your turbo and everything else cleaner and not get gunked up

Did you seriously say "use a 7/16" wrench" on that bolt? For real? DO you not know that every single nut and bolt on that truck is metric?

What is the benefit of doing this ?

PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) is being dumped into your turbo which then sends the oily mist down through your intercooler tubes then through the intercooler. That over time can cause a build up of oil in your tubes and in the intercooler itself. What can happen is that the oil gets in around the silicone boots on your intercooler tubes and when you are towing or have high boost pressure the silicone boots will blow off. Also all the oil in your intercooler will eventually plug your intercooler up.

I did this pcv really route and I feel a better response on the truck. but I did notice my mpg monitor decreases by a lot? does it mean anything it's that the real mpg I'm gonna be getting by don't this?
I zip tie the hoses on the frame. did u guys put the small filter on or just leave it as is ? thanks for any advice on this

I would hand calculate your MPG and see if that is more reasonable, Can't always trust the DIC. I left mine open (no filter)
