If it did get cancelled then 2020 would've turned from catastrophic to species ending
I remember being glad in 2018 that the jingle jam was less then the previous year. 2017 was the big $5 million year, and then 2018 was less. I thought that if it was more then there would be a precedent set, it would only be successful if it bet last years.
But immediately defeating that precedent means its just about raising any money, not beating a record. It's the best time of the year regardless of how much they make.
Wow... that's such a beatiful way of looking at it.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom â€
Honestly Theres a lot of motivation behind the mindset " We have to do it. Even if its shit" you guys really did pull it off!
"We're gonna do it, even if it's shit" is the Yogscast motto.
It was a good decision to do it. 2020 was rough enough already. I don't really have time to watch the streams anymore (haven't for years) but since it's something which happens every year you expect it to continue "no matter what". It's all about making money for charity, but to me and I bet I'm not alone with this it's more like watching a group of friends have a good time, joke around and drink too much at times a few days before Christmas. The money they gather for the charity is not the main course.
Simon was really on edge during this stream worrying about the crazy shit Lewis might say.
what a lovely jingle cat!
my little heart.
That's literally every single christmas film.
2020 was one of the best jingle jam year.
description says 13th? i thought jingle jam started in 2012?
2011
It's been named the Jingle Jam for that long, but the same kind of christmas charity streams were going on before that: Dwarven Dairy Drive, Honeydew's Honey Drive and the Goat chronicles
@@Dantyx12014 was the first year it was called Jingle Jam
The bad timeline
was that...the bad year?
I think 2019 was the year all the bad stuff happened
It says 2020 in the bottom left
@@blightwolf5206 Yeah the Yogs had a rough year in 2019, and then the world had a rough 2020
Yeah, the void year
Plus obviously pandemic as well, so they weren't even in the office that much.

If you guys are struggling with new Jingle Jam ideas, you should collaborate with Jerma985 !
Why did you full username him?
â@@Satherianto not get him confused with the horrible Jerma986
Always upsetting how much the Yogscast fell off, they haven't gotten more then 1M views on a video since 5 years ago
On CZcams yes but for jingle jam and twitch and podcasts are doing great.
It didn't really fall off, it changed after the office drama which was shortly followed by covid. I'd say they scaled back and are now distributed enough to weather what is the ultimate fate of all online groups; Their audience grows up and moves on, and they aren't replaced by a younger audience.
If they held their old format and scale then it would've collapsed entirely during or after covid.
They might've fallen off a bit, but they're definitely still on the shelf.
if the only reason you watch yogscast was because they were popular and got over 1M views than its wasnt really for you. The people who still enjoy the yogscast for what it is are who it's made for and plenty of people still enjoy it.
@@sam23696 They simply crancked up the Tom's (and Barry) to 11 and simply stuck with what they did best. If they manage to stick around for a few more years, let us in the audience grow up a bit more and get a more stable life/income... I bet the support for the yogs will skyrocket in the comming years once things calm down.
