Nice tutorial, I am wondering if the latest Rhubarb add on version will work in Blender 3.3 using the new pose library.

Very good video, everything worked fine, my only problem is that when playing the audio is not heard, if the lips move and everything, the file has sound when played outside Blender, but not inside .... I think I have blender muted or something, do you know how I can turn up the volume, I'm new and maybe I pressed keys that left it on mute.

Rhubarb considers the Pose Library Shapes and the sound of your file, it doesn't consider the volume, you have to edit it after to suit your need.

Great tutorial. Ant suggestions where to find info on making better mouth shapes because yours are highly accurate.
Using "references" gets you there faster. We all talk differently with different mouth shapes. To get this level of richness in your mouth shapes you need to use a reference. You can use a mirror and watch yourself talk. Picking up a movie and analyzing how an actor delivers a line is another good way to get believable mouth shapes.

@@levonotion Hey I noticed that Rhubarb has AI, E, and Ee (Ee/etc) as separate shapes but all the charts I've found have AEI and Ee only. Don't know if that is a script error. Maybe E is Ee and the etc is for other letters?

There is a new version of the add-on called 'Rhubarb Lipsync NG' available on the Blender Market. And it works with the **latest Blender version**. The interface is bit different, so it might be worth creating a new video tutorial :)

I did everything like you described but then the Rhubarb lipsyc you click by 9:10 is not lighten, so I'm not able to click it. Maybe you have an idea what might be the problem. I've never used Blender before, so forgive my ignorance. My question: Would I need to create visemes for every character I import or would just applying existing ones with minor adjustments work okay?
If you use the same rigging system, you only need to edit existing ones.

Sure, it's still valid in 2022. If you couldn't get it working, it's either you need an updated version of the addon or your sound file isn't in ". Wav" format.
@@levonotion I've been trying to use UV warp modifier with the armature to create the poses library , however once add all my poses (made sure they are the same as what rhubarb shows) and sound using wav, nothing seems to happen. I did a little more research and some people are saying Rhubarb doesn't work with the newer versions of Blender ,, not sure if thats true or not. What Version of Blender are you running it on?

Make sure your sound is .wav file and not .Mp3.

How to use it in two or more characters
Select controls of the intended character, add the corresponding sound file(".Wav" format), run the command to apply keyframes. Repeat this for other characters in the scene.
