Hey guys welcome to Oz Hope you enjoy our beautiful and BIG brown land. One Tip I will give you is stay hydrated and wear a hat and sunscreen our sun down here is no joke and you will get badly burnt so slip (on a hat) slop (on sunscreen) slap (on a hat)

totally based. I’m from Italy but I’ve greek albanian origins (so, I used to have always sea and a lot of sun) and I’m now in Perth (autumn season, just at the start) the sun is crazy strong.

I was going to say I work at the closest Telstra store to the airport - but only just came across your video! Before you head over to Adelaide make sure you switch from Optus. Telstra is the only provider you’ll get rurally

Welcome to my home city. Even I didn’t know about the light show in town. May I suggest going back to Kings Park at night and seeing the lights. Also hit the beaches at sunset. Maybe go to Fremantle and see the Freo markets, the cappuccino strip for coffee and the boat harbour. Can be a bit touristy though. Compared to Singapore and the places you have visited, Perth is quiet but us Sandgropers like it that way. Have fun. 👍🏼
Perth is glorious! Of course the beaches etc are great, but get out of town a bit too. The Perth Hills area is stunning.

Welcome to Perth and Western Australia! The very long grassed area in the beginning of your video was the very first "airport" in Perth. It's known as the Esplanade. I hope you get to see lots of our state. There's soooo much to see!

Welcome to my city! Hope you're handling the heat well. Whilst the days are hot, it really cools down at night here for some relief.
Also, that's the Swan River that you see from Kings Park.
This brought back memories from our (with my wife) trip over to Perth a couple of years ago from where we live on the Gold Coast. We stayed in a apartment on the big hill you walked up to Kings Park. And I kid you not, the spot you sat down in the park with the view back down on the city is the exact spot we sat to watch new years fireworks which were a non event because there were non on the waterfront and were all back behind the buildings. If you guys can afford the expense and the time you should really try to get to Rottnest Island. Nice bike riding around the island if it's not too hot, great spots everywhere for picnics and swimming, and of course the Quokkas. You'll find them all over the island but for the getting up close and personal with these cute guys just walk and ride around the townsite on the island. Hope you have a good time in Oz.

That tree is a Moreton Bay Fig tree. They grow enormous but the figs are not edible. They are native to Queensland.

Love seeing my home as seen through a tourist’s eyes. Perth people are v friendly but the sun is hot and it’s been quite cool this summer. Hope you found some of our beaches but don’t forget the sunscreen and hats.
LOL - Only a Perthian would describe a summer with no official days over 40 degrees as "quite cool this year". It's STILL been bloody hot and, in fact, that is one of the main things wrong with Perth - if the average summer temps were about ten degrees lower, it'd be perfect.

Definitely picked a good time as it’s the tail end of summer, so not extremely hot…though the weather has been a bit crazy in Australia at the moment, and I know that Sydney has definitely not been as hot as it has been in the past (La Niña in effect!). Enjoy Perth! Can’t wait to see what you get up to in my home city of Sydney (hopefully will run into you if you’re there on the weekend, work gets in the way on a weekday 😅)

Remember check out the Wave Rock, there’s a small town in very south of Perth with popular of 3 people, you should see them. Perth is like England, they have tea time in the afternoon, serves tea and cookies. I took the train to travel everywhere in Perth, they have beautiful beaches too .

Kings park is the biggest public park ( 4.06 square kms ) in the southern atmosphere, right in the heart of the city of Perth.

8:14 those plaques in front of the trees in kings park have the names of fallen soldiers on them, my grandfather used to polish them every year, I don't know for how long.

Check out Freemantle and the market. Lots of cute towns on the way there as well.
I have been to Perth a couple times. I stayed in Fremantle both times and LOVED ain’t. Highly recommend the small beach town! Safe travels

Your video just popped up on my feed. Welcome to AUS! and welcome to Perth :) Native Perthie here and I'm so glad you had some great first days here. So lucky to catch the Festival too. I haven't yet watched any of your other videos and have no idea how long you are here for but Perth has a free bus service in the City called CAT buses (Central Area Transit) which have different colours depending on where in the city you wanted to go. If you go to the Transperth Centre you can pick up timetables. I think they also have CAT buses in Fremantle too. Definitely make sure you keep hydrated, wear hats and sunscreen as our summers can be very intense and you always have to be wary of getting heatstroke. Stay cool and hope you have a great time in WA!
