A true classic horror theme for solo piano. This is one of my favorite horror themes and after mine piano arrangement of It was always You Helen other people were playing it too.
I am really looking forward to the remake of the Candyman movie later on this year as it's also one of my favorite horror movies.
Phillip Glass did a marvelous job on this one!
Also I would like to thank the Bob Dahlstrom for drawing this amazing wall paint art of the Candyman. I had this idea quite some time in my mind and Bob helped me realizing this, please check out his stuff! Thanks Bob! It was great fun to play as the candyman in the mouth of the Candyman :O)

That's something I've always loved about Daniel Rhobatai (Sorry for the poor spelling) is that his backstory and his motivation to see his love again make him more tragic and add a solemness to his scares. That and Tony Todd just knocks it out of the park, especially when he speaks. He has a brilliant voice.

You can feel the anticipation, the chase, the tease, the back and forth, and finally the consummation, bliss, and eventual denouement. It's a beautiful piece. Candyman is a Gothic Romance more than Horror.

I saw the one Jordan Peel made and it was AWESOME! It's not a reboot like we were told. Daniel Robitaille (Tony Todd) is still the Prime Candyman. So everything that happened in the other movies is still cannon. Simply it turns out other people were Candymen too and became each generation's Candyman. Just like Helen became the Candy Man when she died in the first movie.

I never knew this was a movie theme. I never finished Candyman (too many bugs 🤣), but now I’m older and wiser and know the “true story” behind the movie and might give it another go.
I also had the first part of this song looped over and over for six minutes in a cutesy synth sound, and it was just called “Spooky Song”. I guess someone liked that part so much that they made a partial cover of it. It was haunting beautiful even in that version.

What's frightening and scary about Candyman, is that Ms. Lyle (Helen) didn't listen to the warnings by the Cabrini-Green locals and ended up becoming the female embodiment of Candyman Herself, as She was trying to complete Her thesis at the University of Chicago, Illinois for that Purcell man who knew of Candyman's "myth"!
