I’m an amputee and decided to do it 1 day after my incident. I can now go to school full time and travel full time. I workout every day and am not lazy. It’d be so dumb for me to sit in a hospital for years for reconstruction and have to put my entire life on hold.
I'm sure Christina didn't even take a second to process the gravity of having to make a decision like that. She's the reason I can't really stand this podcast.
Yeah not a lot of thought was put into that response. Like, not everyone has Bomb ass medical insurance or time to take off from work. Let alone it might not even work, you can easily get infection from that type of wound and you might experience a lot of pain in your reconstructed arm for the rest of your life.

I had a tendon in my wrist repaired and bone fragments removed from my hand back in 2014. Sure the tendon was repaired. But now I have a massive ball of scar tissue, the right side of my hand has permanent nerve damage, and it's more fragile than it used to be. I "sprained" it making a bed and I will need surgery in the future.
Surgery fixed the original problem but it also created new ones. No one educated me on that. I was told my nerve would grow back? Also the recovery was absolutely brutal. I would absolutely amputate it if I had the choice. I would hate to be considered lazy for making such a heavy decision. I'm glad you commented on that. Her comment was ignorant and it was nice seeing her challenged.
