We were at Railay Beach last April 2022 and spoke to Noon at the Coffee Station. I told him that I saw him on CZcams. He said, "Yeah, Chris Parker". I laughed and said YES. One of the great memories of Railay Beach.

I was there last November, stopped by Coffee Station, hung out with Nun, tried the happy shake, had the most amazing day exploring Diamond Cave, Phra Nang Cave, etc. one of the best days of my life!
Getting so close now, only a few more months and I will get to start seeing all this for myself. Thanks for working for all of us dreamers. Great video.
The last time I was in Railay was back in 2002 or so and the walking street looked nothing like that. Amazing to show us how lively it is not. It is awesome. I finally made it to Thailand for CHristmas. I am over here on Koh Chang . It is opening up and becoming busy as well! Congrats on the 22 years!!!

I went to Railey Beech because of Chris in August. It is spectacular and beautiful at the same time. Ate lunch next to the hotel Chris stayed in. The coffee station provides the best coffee I have ever tasted. I made it my priority to taste it boy did it deliver. the beans were ground in front of me. Go get a coffee when you visit....
So good to see you at Noon's Bar. I remember you going there during the thick of the pandemic and it was beautiful but depressing. I'm glad to see him doing so well now as well as Railay. Be safe, Mate!
We were there 3 weeks ago. Had coffee at the coffee station. The stoned bar was being renovated. Even had a tattoo a few doors up
Railay is gorgeous, but overcrowded and too obvious. We just came back home to AUS, from our 4week, return to Thailand trip and spent some time at Tubkaek beach Krabi. Half an hour from Ao Nang by road. Stunning and more sereen, with great accomodation options.

Have to agree with this comment. Stayed at Tubkaak before in 12/2019, right before Covid. Just stayed in Railay two weeks ago. Phranang beach is stunning and less crowded, but Railay is very crowded especially during the day. Both Tubkaak and Railay are more isolated, compared to Koh Samui, so you have a more limited selection of restaurants. But their beaches are more beautiful compared to those of koh samui.
@@curious1264 We didn't actually stay there. We went there twice from our Ao Nang stay and saw all the beautiful hotels/resorts, walking this stunning beach. Have been looking online now, for a stay at Tubkeak, on our next Thai trip. Cheers. 4-5 stars no probs.
@@mickzed6393 I went there after hiking up Dragon Crest mountain and was chased away by angry hotel staff so I am not sure if that is a good recommendation 😅

Trivia. I stayed at Railay West for a week in 1997 or 98. I was recruited talent for a Langnese commercial shot on an island about a 30 minute boat ride away. That was great fun. Over a hundred people partying all day while they shot these commercials for German TV and theater.
This is AMAZING! I had the pleasure of meeting Nun a few weeks ago. Wonderful guy! Had a couple of shakes (not at the same time) and floated around in Tongsai Bay. Magical! By the way, watching this from Koh Samui.
I was there with my now fiance during covid! It was beautiful but very quiet. We manage to hang out with some locals.
Good friend Teerasak owns Bang Bang Bar there. Great guy, great place. Check it out next time

Not sure if you've been to Similan islands off the coast of Phang Nga, just about 100 km North of Phuket. Personally never been there, but they said it's the most beautiful beach in Thailand, hands down. You need to take a speedboat from Thap Lamu Pier in Khao Lak (Phang Nga) to get there. You can do snorkeling or deep diving there too.
I had so much fun at Railay in August. Stayed in Ao Nang and daytripped to Railay. Can't wait to go back! Love your videos, thanks for taking us along.

It’s also my favorite beach in Thaïlande. I stayed at the same resort than you in 2014.
Railay is my favorite place. I have been there twice ,really lucky that the company rewarded me to stay at Rayavadee for 2 nights. It's really convenient. We went to Por-Da Island, Tha-lay-waek Island, Chicken Island, clean white beach. Crystal clear water Crystal clear water there.

I was in Thailand last week. Went to the Bangkok seafood restaurant immediately after stumbling across one of your videos at 4am and ate 10 prawns 🦐 (I was staying on soi 2). Smoked a fat joint on the way there, it was delightful. You should do a vid on all the ganja shops that is all over Thailand now. I remember when I went 3 years ago I found weed @ khan San road but was terrified to smoke due to the strict drug laws there but it’s certainly a different ball game today 😁
The ao nang beach area is surreal paradise. I want to stay in that cliff top hotel near the town. Rooms were about $100/ night in 2020. Honey moon spot.

Hello Chris, I was in Railey Beach 1 week ago, I went to the Bamboo Bar you recommended. I ordered a Jose Cuervo Gold shot. When it was delivered I noticed it was white colored, not gold. Also it was not even a high quality tequila, (Cuervo Gold is by no means too quality). I order another one and it was the same, the bar has Water down and replaced even the lowest type or tequila with something worst. I would stop yourself from recommendations if you don't know what you are talking about.

When I went there 25 years ago I was so dirt cheap poor I had to stay in the East side to the far western part for the absolute cheapest room. So bad! 50-60 Baht by memory.
Was that weeeed at the Boat Bar? I am there with my Teerock in March.
Just curious -- is there any more humble, bungalow style lodging in or near Railay, or is mostly resort style, 600 THB and upwards?
Been to Thailand a couple times over the last few years... Mostly Phuket, Khao Lak, Phangna, Samui, etc. Would like to visit Krabi and on down through Railay on one of my next trips.
I don't mind a bit more humble or even somewhat Spartan accomodations -- I travel solo and don't require much -- so long as it's in or near a good setting, good food, good people, good vibe.
Similar question about places like Koh Lipe, Koh Yao Yai, Koh Yao Noi... and nearby excursions. Can a solo traveler get by in a relatively frugal manner, if willing to forego some otherwise over-the-top luxuries?

I remembered back in 2011 I had to buy weed in the black market and smoke hidden in the Bush.
A friend who’s a non puffer bought a 150b ready rolled in Pattaya. Smoked half and pulled a whitey.
Not really the price but better quality than the jungle weed.

I remember in 2009, all I did was ask a taxi driver. He brought it immediately and I smoked in my hotel room. Some of the massage parlors were offering ICE.

Rayavadee is a ripoff. You can stay anywhere and access most of the amenities for much cheaper. The only downside is you cant eat at the Grotto but who cares. I stopped by that first mini mart quite a bit. It was one of the few places that exchange the 10,000 THB notes. The infamous Rooster I call the Thick C**k (That's what she said). I regret not going to coffee station. It was open when I went through in late November.
