    Thanks!
An answer, if you will: I have the Maschine pads set to about 70% in midi controller mode. In this particular case, I have two different velocity settings for most of the midi notes. Remember that everything midi has a range of 0-127, but splitting that evenly doesn't always work. As an estimate, program a quiet sample to a range up to 99, and the loud sample from 100 to 127. There are still plenty of times when I'm just programming a non-sensitive sound, like the lead kick.

you grow up many mpc's players. everybody have to thank your work and your devotion...and this lesson play so good just with 3 damn sounds!

    To further answer your question:
This break had all kinds of snare samples, so I programmed 4 samples to each note: two which alternate in the low range and two which alternate in the high range. The difference is subtle, but it's still quite fantastic. Literally four times the character of one sample on the same pad. The joy!

The exercises where you don't use any sounds are good but it's nice to hear you actually trigger sounds again in this one. It is considerably more impressive to watch :)

as always, it's inspiring to watch you working that maschine.
a question if i may: are your pads/samples set to full vel so you don't have to worry about how hard you hit the pad or do you go for dynamics?

Have you done anything with the iMaschine for the iOS? Is it worth using if your just starting and not ready to get a physical Maschine?
Thanks for all the great tutorials! Would love to see some more of your live stuff...
