  • How to Feel Better Lifting Your Legs. If you’re looking for an exercise that doesn't require much time and effort but can seriously improve your mood, shake off your tiredness, and provide you with a whole bunch of other health benefits, this one is for you. It’s leg lifting, and the only thing required from you is to do it correctly.
    Helping with anxiety, arthritis, headaches, migraines, urinary disorders, menstrual cramps, and menopause are among health benefits of leg lifting. So whatever your health problem is, there's a high chance that leg lifting will be seriously useful in the fight against it. As you get more used to the exercise, you can mix it up with different variations. Try sliding your legs apart into a “V” shape to give a good stretch to your inner thighs, or push your hands against the top inner thighs to stretch the groin.

    SUMMARY
    -First of all, pick a comfortable position near a wall. Put a pillow or a soft roller under your lower back. Then lift up your legs, and stretch them along the wall. Your hands should be relaxed down by the sides of your body. Stay in this position for 15-20 minutes.
    -Leg lifts can be an amazing addition to whatever your main treatment is. A study conducted by the New Jersey Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, confirmed that leg lifting contributes to an improvement in blood circulation.
    -Take off your high heels, lift up your legs, and relax for 15-20 minutes in this position. Then massage your legs gently, and take a warm shower. Your legs will surely appreciate the effort.
    -Lying down with your legs lifted up like this improves the work of your stomach. Leg lifts also increase the blood supply to your internal organs through the drainage of blood from the legs.
    -Leg lifts will help you relax and breathe in more air, getting more oxygen for your body tissues and improving your blood circulation. As a result, all your inner organs will be supplied with important nutrients and elements. Your nervous system will be happy too.
    -According to a study conducted by specialists from the Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, people who consistently practice yoga for at least 8 weeks sleep better and longer than those who don't.

It eliminates pain from the cold, muscle ache, and works quickly. So i agree there are benefits to this pose. I also use an icomfort bed that always me to adjust my head and legs positions while sleeping. On a bad pain day this is the best way to relax.

I had never heard of these exercises but I started doing them on my own because it was the only thing thst brought relief to my back. It would reverse all the pain & inflammation that I was feeling. This wasn't considered exercise when I was in the medical field 30 years ago, but we encouraged our patients to do this nightly for 30 minutes. This is good for the heart and obviously lessens pressure on legs and major joints. Particularly helpful for jobs that require standing for long periods of time. Less likely to need TED hose as you age.

    I recommend lying flat and doing repetitions of 10-second alternative leg raises (other knee bent). Keep raised leg straight with foot at 90°. Raise it until you feel the tugging on your hamstring (under your buttock) - but don't strain or overdo it. Hold for 10 secs and then change legs and aim for a minimum of 10 repetitions each leg. You should not feel soreness if you do it properly without imposing stress. You can do it on your bed.
    The benefits? Gradually stretching your hamstrings over time can help with lower back problems and particularly eliminate buttock pain. It cleared up my own long-standing hip bursitis pain first easing it in about 3 days and then eliminating in a week. It works for me and I still keep repeating the exercise for prevention. Try it if you need to, and good luck.

    I always do this ( even before discovering this video lol) and it helps me digest food faster after I eat. Folding your legs and bringing it to your chest while lying also helps. I don’t know if it will work for you guts but give it a try for a week.

    I tried this for the first time after doing my workout and i just had the most intense cramp i've ever had in my life. You can really FEEL the circulation in your legs the first few minutes. But at the end of the workout i couldn't feel my legs due to that cramp. It really felt good and relaxing. Did it for 15 minutes, try it out yourselves guys !

    Can you give us some tips to improve our flexibility to get the middle & front splits?

    • @DarkMatterr
      @DarkMatterr Před 5 lety +12

      Yes I've seen those. They're mostly girls sharing their personal experience and journeys with some basic stretches, not a scientific video showing us what happens to the muscles when we stretch and how to boost results.

    • @DarkMatterr
      @DarkMatterr Před 5 lety +5

      Trying hard won't help at all, it's all about consistency and doing the correct stretches after a proper warm-up everytime.

    • @kevynhansyn2902
      @kevynhansyn2902 Před 5 lety +7

      Takes many years of practice to fulfill full splits.
      I still can't do straight 180 degree splits. I been doing stretching and splits since I was a teen (late bloomer), and with the bowleggedness I had growing up went away over years, but still never achieved a full split.
      But man it feels good what I can achieve tho.

      UI Goku you could try stretching-pushing yourself to the limit (not beyond the limit) is rlly the only way you can expect results
