I have the same question for this. How long did it take to reach the stage when you can pour on to a tray? This is important to know so that we gain confidence to try. I do not want to get into a situation where either I have overdone it and the mixture is dry and crumbly or it is under done and hence is very soft and cannot be cut into pieces.

We can;t time correctly. It depends on the pan, heat, quality of besan etc. We need to stir till the mixture becomes thick without sticking to sides of pan.

To check if it's done. Put a little bit of d hot barfi mix in some water. If u can pick d bit from d water without it disintegrating, then it's done.
